Property Ratings at Andover Park
I am going on my 13th year at Andover. I truly appreciate how efficient the office staff and maintence team are. I have never had to wait more than an hour for a maintence request. And when things break it always seems to happen after hours, weekends and holidays. Yesterday when my refrigerator when out, Maintence was there within an half hour with a new refrigerator. They are very prompt, professional, helpful, and efficient. I appreciate all they do for me. Ann Byrnes
Lived here for 2 years and love it. My daughter loves the walk to Butterfly Park and Rogers Lakewood Park! Maintenance is ALWAYS on top of things and are AMAZING! The ladies in the office are so welcoming and friendly! I would recommend to anyone looking in the "countryside" of Valpo. Super quiet on this end of town.
I am on my second lease at this place and I love it here. The pool is so nice in the summer and it stays open later than most pools, you have beautiful grass everywhere which my dog appreciates. A park for kids to play and tennis court that is always in use spring through fall. The Brittanys that work there are wonderful, they are understanding, helpful, and friendly. Super pet friendly here, the neighborhood is super safe with trails, dog parks and other activities near by. Maintenance is fast, nice, and helpful. every apartment has a balcony which is nice and I love my walk-in closet. Very close to daycares, high school and middle school as well. Perfect for a small family or a single women with 4 pets like myself!
Property Manager at Andover Park, Responded To This Review
We are thrilled to have you as part of our community! Thank you for sharing your kind words with us. It means the world to us and to our entire team! We look forward to serving you further!
We had a great time at this apartment complex. They were responsive and timely with everything we needed. We needed only a few minor maintenance requests during our time and they took care of them immediately. Management was awesome and easy to deal with, especially during the covid period of time. They post updates for residents and keep everyone up to date. We recommend this apartment complex for a quiet, professional and easygoing experience.
Property Manager at Andover Park, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for the great review! We love having you as part of our Andover Park family!
First off lets start with management. Brittany is the manager and is a delight to deal with. She makes sure if you have any problems that they are solved with in 24 hours. The maintenance guys are tops. They are thorough and on top of things. I know that the apartments are old but they are maintained well.
First off I really enjoy living here because for the most part its quiet. Secondly, the manager Brittany does a great job making sure everything we call about what needs to be fixed is usually fixed within 24 hours. If its the weekend or at night and its a plumbing issue, furnace or a/c issue, or just about anything that needs to be fixed right now gets fixed immediately. I would recommend this complex because they are great to deal with.
Staff is hands down the best I've ever dealt with at an apartment in this price range. I recently moved into a newly renovated unit and it's even nicer than I expected on the inside. I love how the living areas of the unit are carpeted, and the other areas are hardwood floor. My neighbors have been incredibly nice and welcoming, multiple of them having approached me already and welcomed me to come knock if I needed anything at all. My building is incredibly quiet. I nearly never hear another person. Not a footstep or a voice in the distance. Haven't had problems with anything in the unit. I find the location to be great, as you're not far from downtown Valparaiso, and you can walk straight out on the sidewalk from the units and into Roger's Park. They're super dog friendly, and from what I can tell so far, they respect your privacy. They're very responsive to other people's needs and concerns the couple times I've seen them working in the office. Reading some of the older reviews it sounds like an entirely different place from what I'm seeing today. The buildings do look older from the outside but it feels modern and nice once you step in. I honestly can't find a negative thing to say about my experience here so far.
Recently moved to the Valpo area and found Andover Park Apartments! Great location, quick community and close to amazing shopping. I enjoy the view and they are pet friendly. My apartment has huge closet space and central air which was a plus for me. Office staff has always been helpful and has made my experience a positive one. Keep up the good customer service it is hard to find these days.
I lived at Andover for over 6 months (I had to move because my roommate needed to move, I could no longer afford rent alone). I have never met staff that was so diligent and helpful. If there is ever a problem, the maintenance crew is guaranteed to be there that day with in hours to help you. The management, is amazing. They make you feel at home and are honestly there to help you through any situation you are going through and are genuine with finding you a happy place to stay. The newly remodeled apartments are made to look brand new with appliances although the apartments are older, it is still a great place to live.
I just moved in Andover last Friday and I am more than happy. The office is friendly and does all they can to go out of their way to make you happy. I moved into a newly renovated 2 bedroom and I love it. It was spotless clean and ready to live in as soon as I stepped in. It’s a quiet and safe neighborhood and all of my neighbors have lived here for years and are so friendly! Andover is extremely pet friendly and has potty stations with bags spread around the complex. Again with going out of their way to make us feel at home. Britney and Jordan are the best :)
I've lived here for 5 years and love it. There is a Valparaiso police officer and a Indiana state trooper that live here. I feel very safe living here. The property manager is great and maintenance is super. Very relaxing place to live.
Myself and my boyfriend moved into Andover Park about 6 months ago and we LOVE it here. The upgrades they've done all around property are such a great difference and I would know because I lived here as a kid with my mom. The staff is always friendly and helpful in every way. They also have 24 hour maintenance which helped us at 3AM when our water heater was leaking. They were there within a timely manner and did an awesome job. We have also referred two friends here and they have had the same amazing experience. We would recommended Andover to anyone!
Friendly fast services at the office. Always clean and open outdoor swimming pool. Good roads, covered parking for a reasonable fee ($25/month). Great looking clean apartments, and they accept small dogs. Its an all around great aparment complex. My only complaint would be not having washer and dryer hook ups in all of the units, but thats hardly a complaint.
Do not go to Andover. They are scammers and thieves. They blame all of their problems on "Higher ups" and "The new girl". Living there for three years I have been constantly harassed for money that I do not owe them. I pay my rent on time, and never late once. If you put the check in the drop box they will wait until after the late day to put it in the ledger and claim you owe late fees when you paid it on time. There is also a pet fee of twenty-five dollars per pet and will not include it on your TOTAL MONTHLY RENT amount. They lie to you and will always say you late on payment. When I first arrived they told me that my apartment was a downstairs apartment. I need one because of my club foot and disability. They promised me that it was downstairs, but when I arrived to move in, it was an upstairs apartment. They won't move me downstairs unless I pay a three hundred dollar fee to move. There are mold spots on the ceiling, cracks in the walls, and my roof has caved in twice in my three years. They also charge you to fix the roof and will charge you extra if you 'exceed' your monthly water consumption. Their idea of 'fixing' is to paint over the spots instead of actually doing something about it. Their crew on the Andover grounds do not speak English. They even charge you court fees if they take you to court and you win the case. Do not move into Andover and stay away at all costs. This place is evil, and will financially run you into the ground and keep draining you of you money.
Horrible maintenance and grounds keeping, always having problems with bugs and rodents and they do nothing about it!
