West Albany is a relatively upscale area, with new housing developments and amenity-laden apartment communities. The area is also popular with students thanks to its relative proximity to seven different Ohio colleges, including Ohio State University. The nearby Hoover Reservoir and the shoreline parks that surround it make for a relaxing afternoon, and the area is close to nearly six prestigious golf courses. The restaurants and shops of West Albany line Hamilton Road and New Albany Road. However, the buzz of Downtown Columbus is just a 20-minute drive via Interstate 670.

Property Ratings at Andrew Reserve
This is my favorite place to live in Columbus, Ohio since I moved here 12 years ago. This is a new community and very quiet. The on-site management is very professional and the property manager takes all matters seriously and is very responsive in getting them resolved. The maintenance is normally out within 24 hours or less to fix my work orders. And anytime I have questions, the office staff is happy to help. I highly recommend Andrew Reserve. It is a beautiful community. My experience here is nothing short of positive.

Overall it's a nice place; however, like most apartments, you will hear your neighbors. This place might be a little worse than most regarding noise and smell (marijuana, depending on your neighbor. It gets into your place too). Careful if you pick the bottom floor; you will hear every little noise and all conversations from your neighbors (it gets to be pretty noisy, and you'll get the full life story of your neighbor). Another downside is the dog park, it's not bad for what it is, but it's relatively small and muddy, with very little grass most of the time.

The apartment is much nicer than many you'll find available around the area. The layout is nice and the gym is pretty good for a standard apartment clubhouse gym. The biggest issues here is that you'll hear EVERYTHING in your neighbor's life, even make out some conversations it's so thin. You'll hear the people above or below, next to, behind you and diagonal. There's also several dogs here that people don't have control over, so that's alarming. We try to walk in areas that avoid this, but there are extremely limited waste stations around the complex - added a couple abs stopped there. Hoping that the section that looks like a soon-to-open fenced in designated dog area will be a good spot! We are worried about the irresponsible owners, especially with seemingly only one way in/out posing a threat to us and our easily anxious pup. Overall we are actually really happy in this space though! We liked it so much we revolved our lives this year around moving here! The adjoining neighborhoods are beautiful and friendly to walk in as well! We are a bit disappointed in some of the aspects of quality control. The walls are made thin, painted airbrush with a chalky finish, globs of paint were messily everywhere, the sink and appliances are as basic and as they get (and bound not to last). With "modern updates" we expected at least an ice maker haha. And the cabinet doors close quiet but slam open against the wall with their spring-loaded "self closing" hinges. Most notable, the doors are often difficult to close because they were not properly fit for weather swelling to occur and haven't lined up right with locks - makes securing difficult a hassle. All in all, it's an apartment. It's probably one of the better new-builds you'll find honestly. It's also in a fantastic area right outside New Albany and close to the 161 exit. We would recommend it for sure, but keep expectations moderate for interior appeal and be advised you'll hear neighbors and neighbors will hear you.

Very nice for the price BUT DO NOT RENT ON THE FIRST FLOOR! You can hear everything from your neighbor's stomping, conversation, TV, and Stereo. If you rent on the second floor, remember, the neighbor below you will hear you. I CAN'T BELIEVE I WILL NEED TO DEAL WITH THIS FOR 13 MONTHS. UGH!
