Imagine having the Chesapeake Bay as your backyard. The sailboats, the fishing, the paddle-boarding … living in Annapolis, you'll have 533 miles of shoreline to explore, along with endless water fun. Off the water, Annapolis is a busy, thriving city that's home to the United States Naval Academy and St. John's College. The Naval Academy was established in 1845 and the campus (referred to as the Yard) is a National Historic Landmark. St. John's College was founded in 1696 and is one of the country's oldest colleges. It is also considered one of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation. Annapolis is the capital of Maryland and is also home to the Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Founded in 1649, Annapolis played a crucial role in the American Revolution, even serving as the temporary capital after the Treaty of Paris was signed in 1783. One of the oldest government buildings in Annapolis, the Old Treasury Building, was built in 1735.

Property Ratings at Annapolis Roads
I have lived here for 3 years and am very happy. Very safe complex. Maintenance requests are handled promptly. Management and maintenance employees are friendly and courteous.
There so much I could say about this place but I’ll try to keep it short. If you want a place that cares about their residents do not move here. They do not listen to you and you rarely can get in touch with them, I mean RARELY-currently trying to get in touch with them now and have been for 2 days. I read another review that says Danielle the manager is always in a meeting and it’s SO true, either that or “out of the office”. If you put in a maintenance request, they might come out days later after you’ve had to remind them. On numerous occasions we had the maintenance people literally just open our apartment door and come in, no knock, no call even though I had requested that, one time I was still in bed, it was terrifying. I’ve come home to our balcony door OPEN because they didn’t close it when they left. After 3 years here. NEVER late on rent we tried to stay one more year in a 2 bedroom because we had a baby, we applied and never heard anything from anyone. We’re clearly not valued here as residents and it’s really sad. Also don’t move here if you want to use amenities- the gym has been closed for literally 2 years (“renovations”) and the pool is always closed in the summer because they can’t get lifeguards to show up. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews and NOTHING os being done, so clearly they don’t listen or care on here either.

Lived here for a little over a year, Maintenance is quick to respond to an issue, They keep the grounds clean even The common areas are cleaned I think bi- weekly hallways stairwell and entrance. And the main reason I decided to resign my lease for another year was management especially Christina great customer service and always takes care of questions and any concern I might have. Kudos
This place is rude, not polite and has horrible unprofessional Customer Service. Drove an hour and a half to view one of their apartments and was a few minutes late due to traffic, the lady that came to the door was rude and basically shut the door on my face didn’t even try to reschedule the appointment and couldn’t care that I drove that far to view one of their apartments. I guess they don’t need the business. If they are this nasty and unprofessional to new future residents I don’t even wanna know how much worse they will be once you become a resident. Do not bother on calling this place it’s horrible. I’m glad this happened so I wouldn’t make the mistake of moving to a place that don’t care.
This management of this complex has gone downhill in the three years I’ve lived here. They never call you back when they say they will and don’t respond to emails. It takes weeks sometimes to get maintenance work done even if it is an emergency. The community always has trash littering around the complex. Overall I wouldn’t ever recommend this complex to anyone.
Leasing office staff and property manager are rude and disrespectful. Annapolis Roads Staff has this strange sense of entitlement about entering their residents homes. They will enter your home without notice. Maintenance staff will not leave a note letting you know your apartment was entered. When they schedule maintenance they don't show up. Leasing office staff refuses to schedule times for maintenance. They just show up whenever they feel like it. They have entered my home when I was in the shower because I didn't hear them knocking. I just don't understand how they can treat their residents so horribly. Rent is raised every year. Management will try and rip you off by charging way more than apartments are being leased to new residents. My husband and I have had to fight them every year to get the price offerd to new residents. I found out our elderly neighbor was paying almost $200 more than the apartments that were being leased a new residents. Simply because they raised her rent every year and she doesn't have the resources to move.
Property Manager at Annapolis Roads, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you feel you were disrespected by our staff. While we do try to notify our residents before entering their homes, our lease does provide us the ability to enter without notice...sometimes a situation requires it, e.g. a leak. Rent increases are standard procedure in the industry. That said, we do strive to remain competitive; after all, the market ultimately dictates what we can or cannot get for our apartments. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us so we can discuss them in greater detail. Thank you again.
THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CREDIT SCORE!!!! We lived there until February, it's October and we just got a 3rd party notification saying that we owe them money. When I called the office they had no idea about the case, the 2nd representative that called me the same day was not able to provide me with the information about the charge and then informed me about how he couldn't call me the next day because he was going on vacation and how when he comeback he would not be able to take me as I priority because he has so many other things to do ( it's been 8 months I would think it is a priority at this point. Is the rest of the team not qualified to assist me with this issue? And when we left they told us everything was payed and settle), the 3rd representative i talked to when i tried to get a hold of the manager was very persistent saying how it was my fault for "not calling before" (how if I haven't gotten any type of communication from Annapolis roads)the manager was on the phone, after an hour I called back, the 3rd representative once again very persistent of it being my fault. The manager has taken about 5 days now to call me back. However wanting to fix this problem I called corporate, and the representative informed me this has been on the process since JUNE!!! I mean are you kidding me? They had all our information, even an alternative adress. Overall our time living there was not bad the appartment was OK, but the fact that after they get their key back you are not profitable is just despicable.
