This place sucks, I’d give it less stars if I could. I’ve been putting in complaints/maintenance requests for 9 months for them to fix my ac. After a few failed “fixes” I was told it needed a replacement. Thinking it wouldn’t take long the problems continued, work order after work order all I got was vague answers from maintenance. I even went to the office to talk to the manager and she couldn’t give me a straight answer on when it would be fixed. All they said is that they couldn’t get refrigerant til April, well it’s April now and all they have to say is they’re waiting on new units. On April 14th it was 93 degrees in Midland and 87 in my apartment. I had to put in my own window unit in the bedroom so I wouldn’t die of a heat stroke. The manager also told me they’d provide me with a window unit in the meantime but never did so I got my own. Long story but don’t rent here, there’s a lot of better places in midland that don’t screw you over.

We have lived here for over two years this past year has been the worst experience we have had sewer back up 8 times in 2 years spilling into the parking lot with human waste management doesn’t care until you call corporate management there’s a 4 “ hole sewer uncovered cap they refuse to cover stinks bad at times don’t consider moving here waiting for our contract to expire.

This is the place for you if you love having neighbors that throw parties every weekend, dog poop all over the facility, overflowing trash containers, and a pool that doesn't work (bonus: you'll continue to pay high water bills each month) Staff never returns calls or emails! I can't wait for my lease to be over so I can leave this place. New management is "making changes" by applying fees and fines to their residents to "improve the appearance of the complex" but in 2 years haven't been able to fix the pool. (UPDATE: pool finally open end of May 2023) Momma always said "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say nothing at all", but I want to spare you the trouble. LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT APARTMENT COMPLEX, THIS IS NOT IT!!!
First we come look at the apartments they show us this nice remodel inside and out apartment and tell me that they’re remodeling all the apartments inside and out. Of course we like it so we pay all our fees that needed to be paid and set up a move in date. Well a week before our scheduled move in day they call & tell me they need to switch us apartments because they gave me the wrong one for my washer & dryer setup. Of course that’s fine! The week goes by and it’s move in day! On move in day at 3pm we receive a call the apartment is not ready & they need an extra day. Once again fine! Move in day arrives we sign our lease & do the walk through.The apartment they gave me wasn’t remodeled at all. The cabinet are old and dirty, kitchen and bathroom drawers are off track and just falls down every time you open them. Paint is old & dirty, and chip marks everywhere. The headache doesn’t stop there maintenance is the worse. The maintenance guys takes months to repair anything “ IF THEY EVER SHOW UP TO” & when they do it’s not fixed but PATCHED. A couple months ago my microwave handle breaks and the little metal latches that holds the dishwasher snapped so now the dishwasher is just hanging out. “KEEP IN MIND WE DONT USE THE DISHWASHER AND THE MICROWAVE WORKS JUST NO HANDLE” well he comes & tells me that it’s not in the budget.So I say fine I don’t care as long as y’all don’t try to charge me for it.About 30 mins later I received a call from the office telling me if I don’t let him replace it then I would be responsible for it at the end of my lease! No way am I paying for this old ran down stuff. So I tell them come fix it now 3 MONTHS later it’s still not fixed so but they marked the work as completed. Which is not true!Now I have no kitchen drawer because it finally broke completely and still no microwave handle or dishwasher. Plus the kitchen sink now! I call the office and shockingly they answered which never happens. Also keep in mind these are the same individuals when corona hit, they sent us a email saying they’re sorry all this is going on but they have bills to pay & they need everyone to pay their rent. Because corona they will waive the $2.99 fee for paying rent. Such lifesavers SARCASM! We are also charged $5 admin fee every month and $10 a month for pest control. That I have not seen in almost a YEAR! Their accountant also didn’t pay the trash bill that we are also charged for monthly. We went over a month with trash piles everywhere.
I am a current resident here. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Let me type it again in case the message isn’t clear: DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE. This is easily one of the worst apartment complexes I’ve ever had the misfortune of living in. First, the leasing office is never open. If you need to speak with someone prepare to wait until it’s convenient for them to open. The phone number is always “disconnected” or unreachable but of course their call center, which isn’t in Midland obviously, will “help” you by “relaying the message”, which never happens. If you have a maintenance emergency or need a service, again: prepare to WAIT. The upstairs neighbors flooded our apartment, we’ve had 3 separate leaks all to which they’ve shrugged off and never followed up on. The apartments are disgusting and obviously “cleaned”/“maintained” half heartedly. A lot of our paint is messy, drywall patches are obvious, the flooring is uneven. The outside is even worse unless you live right next to the leasing office. They don’t maintain the grounds or dog disposal. The dumpster has been overflowing for more than. a week. The parking is atrocious from abandoned cars. The walls are very very thin so you can hear everyone around you. The upstairs people are very very loud because, again, there’s no sound barriers. The management staff is constantly changing so any review that says they’ve improved is false. They have new faces constantly because the apartment complex can’t keep people. The different staff always has conflicting advice as well. We waited more than 2 months to get our refrigerator serviced, 1 month for a dishwasher to be serviced, and we’re going on 2 months waiting for a toilet to be fixed. They will either mark your service request as complete without doing anything or say they “never received it”. If for some insane reason all of this is appealing to you my advice is to take record of EVERYTHING. Record every conversation, every phone call, screenshot every work order, keep record of every time you’ve asked for help but didn’t get it, take photos of the grounds to prove the trash doesn’t get thrown/the dog disposal is always full. Make sure you photograph every square inch of the apartment as well. We obviously will be moving the moment our lease is up. I hope you don’t make the same mistake we did. -10/5 stars. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!
I am a current resident and these are the worst apartments I have ever lived in. The management is completely unwilling to work with you on anything at all. Prepare to be treated like trash if you ever have to ask the management of anything at all. I HIGHLY encourage everyone to look elsewhere. It may be a little cheaper here but its not worth it for the treatment you receive. Tire a little low on air? Prepare to have it towed with zero communication from the apartment management. They will go MONTHS without cleaning the dog waste stations on the property which will stink up entire areas and be overflowing. Then send everyone notices threatening to fine you for not picking up after your dog. When you talk to them about it they act like they could care less. They do not treat you like human, just a piggy bank that they hope to squeeze more and more out of. During this crazy time with the pandemic and all the layoffs and they are still charging you fees, just to pay them rent online, which is the only way they allow you to pay. Need an extension on rent? Be prepared to be fined non stop. Have a mess up with your bank so rent is a couple of days late? you will have an eviction notice on your door the day after rent is due, doesn't matter that you have paid your rent on time here for 3 years.. Just don't... Seriously.
I beg you not to live here. I have lived at several different apartments here an Midland and this has been by far the worst one. The staff is horrible. If you need to get in touch with the manager, good luck because she will never get back with you. Once again, do not live here. Find somewhere else. The rent is much too high comparatively with that of other apartments that are way nicer.
Avoid! This place charges twice what it should, the apartments are falling apart, the grass is sticker patches, dog poop all over the grass that is never picked up. When I moved in my air conditioner wasn't working, there are obvious water leaks and mold and still nothing has been done. Everything is outdated. If you decide to go ahead and risk it whatever you do do not get the first floor! The apartments are really old, I can hear every noise and footstep above me. I expected some noise of course, but this is insane. I can see the ceiling move when they just casually walk upstairs. I can hear everything going on, it will drive you crazy. This is the worst apartment I have ever lived at.
My microwave wasn’t working so I emailed the property manager. Within 30 minutes the maintenance supervisor, Jorge, was at my apartment to check it out. It couldn’t be fixed so he ordered me a new one and installed it two days later. Job well done, thanks!

I currently live at the Annex and my master bedroom has been flooded and a leak in the ceiling in the master bath for over a month. Nothing has been fixed and I know there is mold in there. The carpet is soaking wet and the conditions are unlivable. Even though they will not fix the problem they will not let me out of my lease. I would tell anyone looking to rent here needs to run the other way. You will be saving yourself A LOT of trouble.

Whatever you do, stay away from this place. We have had problem after problem. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this place. We were supposed to get an upgraded apartment. All that is new is the floor. The paint is an absolute mess and the apartment was filthy when we moved in. NONE of the amenities are working or open. The pool is always filthy, the gym is run down and disgusting, etc. our front door had a gap about 1/2” all the way around. They came to half way fix that. None of the windows seal. Half of the apartment is always to hot or cold to go into. We just left for the weekend and came back to find that when it rained while we were gone, the master carpet got soaked from the window not sealing and the whole place is humid and filled with mosquitos now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I have lived here for 3 months and it is terrible and now I’m stuck with a one year lease.

Finding an apartment in this town is next to impossible, and finding one where the office actually cares about you is basically looking for those winged pigs -but the Annex really did bring it all to the table for me. Not only did I get to talk to a REAL person on the phone before I can but she was so nice, I think her name was Kim, but she was so sweet in answering all my questions and when she didn't know about my w/d connect she found me the answer and didn't just brush me off like some places I've rented at before. That's what made me actually come and view the place. Everything was super clean and you could tell they were there all the time to take care of it, everything looked like it was maintained and I loved the colors and style they have in their apartments. Definitely recommend living here to anyone looking for quality service at a reasonable price!

I went and viewed the annex apartments yesterday and was very pleased with the staff and how they made me feel from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left, I wont be able to rent from the complex due to personal issues, but if I could go I would move over there in a heart beat. all four women made me feel very welcome, I met the guys who do work orders they are all very upbeat and they know what theyre doing!

I love the staff, the are very attentive and friendly. They try their hardest to make sure that everything is taken care of. Have had some matienance problems but matienance makes sure to always get to me in a timely manner. It has its quirks but over all the complex, and the staff are awesome!

I had given up all hope for the Annex apartments until Jose and Jorge got involved in our Air Conditioner issues. Jose came out on Father's Day to get our air running well enough until he and Jorge were able to get the new equipment ordered and replaced. They both were professional and polite while I was initially irate. This was a monumental display of character on their part. If the office wouldn't give tenants the run around and just get these guys involved immediately, the complex would be a lot better in my opinion.

The Annex staff has really improved since last year there still is some of its hiccups but the girls always handle things the correct way & in a timely manner if they can. The ladies take there jobs seriously but still can make going into the office a good time. I never have issue telling them what’s going on.

I don't understand why there is all these bad reviews on the staff the staff now is better than its ever been yesterday the blood drive was an amazing idea and looked like a good turn out today I walked into the office and talked to Kristin and even on a Saturday she looked so busy but she still happily took the time to help me and my husband look for packages, don't get me wrong this place has its flaws but it looks to me like they are really trying maintenance could be a little faster but they are working.

Great apartments. Very reasonable price, best I've found around midland. My boys love the private balcony to play on. Brand new floors when we moved in. Any maintenance issues are handled at a timely manner. Very clean! The gym was clean, airconditioner works great at gym and apartment!!! Water pressure nice, very spacious rooms and love the big closets. We moved 700 miles without seeing them first and Charity walked us through everything we ask about plus some, stayed after hours to send pictures of our unit and found exactly what we were looking for. She was very helpful and polite. Have reccomended, and had 4 out of 4 people move in and love it also, would recommend again!!

I like the new staff I’ve been here over five yrs if only they would get rid of Ester she’s so unprofessional and every time I got too her she’s rude and no help maintainer seems to be keeping up now and that’s a good she treats us residents like we don’t matter called mon for a request an she didn’t get it fixed nor even sounded sincer.

If you enjoy the west texas heat outside, you'll definitely get to enjoy it inside too. This place is extremely OVERPRICED for what it is, a/c units do not work, no amenities, and they overwork their employees. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Hello I currently live at this apartment complex and they are horrible. Our A/C has not been working properly throughout the apartment it only works in the master bedroom. we have been here 4 months things have not worked properly left and right. they always lie about fixing things yet nothing is done. My kids, husband and I sleep and live in one room of the house which is the master because its cool. we cannot cook without breaking a sweat. the amount you pay in rent you can go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. worst new management they never call you and when you go to the office they are "busy".
Landscape horrible. If you have children there are 101 hazards here at the Annex, from trip hazards to electrical shock hazards. They do not fix the problem, you would think the overpriced rent for a sub-standard apartment would allow a nicer community. I come from Compton, CA and my apartment seemed like a resort compared to this place. Don't waste your time or money.
hello my name of Lisa Kluchonic I remove the annex apartment homes for over 30 years. it used to be called the Dakota apartments. on my husband passed away 5 years ago I give up my big apartment here in the complex in them to this little one people here since they have changed owners have been really good to me my rent Triple and Heather and everybody in the owners help with my rent down to where it was now 3 or I could afford it I really enjoy this place I have a lot of you as a lot of amenities and they're very nice to me here and I can have my dog no other place around here what you have pet so it's very hard to live around this area in the Texas with a pet last one to say this is the greatest place to live in the Annex apartment they hope that try to help you as soon as I can get things fixed otherwise help me and I've never had any problems. I hope I win them rent free for a year that will help me I won't have to worry about nothing and be the greatest thing I could ever wish for or receive. And the REC for life that would be great to free for life rent pay no rent for an apartment that would be great but someone just the one thing just for you just let me be four months that would be the but that'd be great for me I love it but like I said I love your this complex and I see management, nursing managementm go but the past year so is One relievinggJetting better to the way it was my first moved here or 30 years ago. So I I like it here and I don't intend to move. I have training on a on a on a normal scale I would rate it at an all the way. If I had my way I would say this place is great one hundred 10% satisfied for the rating of 110%
this place is the most horrible apartment complex I have ever lived in. Horrible grounds maintenance (and they have water wells so there is no excuse for not having green grass), rude management, takes forever to get maintenance work done. Each time you re-sign your lease they go up 200.00 in rent. Both bath tubs have been peeling since I moved in on 2-15-14. Lights in the kitchen have been out for 2 weeks. I even offered to go buy the bulbs and take the $'s off of my rent and they said no. Still cant see in the kitchen. neighbors upstairs have 2 humongous dogs in a 2/2 apartment. The noise factor is just terrible throughout all hours of the night. I am currently seeking another apartment and would love to have my rent paid for a while. Please throw me in the pool for a drawing! :)
