Often regarded as the capital of deep bayou country, Houma (pronounced “home-uh”) is known for its strong Cajun roots and culture. Countless dance halls and restaurants pay homage to Houma’s Cajun culture in addition to a unique dialect, several distinct musical styles, and an annual, two-week-long Cajun Mardi Gras celebration.
Houma is also home to the United Houma Nation Native American tribe, which hosts plenty of cultural events on a regular basis as well. The natural environment is a critical component of life in Houma, which boasts more than 2,500 square miles of swamps and wetlands. Houma’s location on the Intracoastal Waterway positions the city as a gateway for many charter fishing expeditions, birding adventures, and swamp tours.

Property Ratings at Ansley Place
Nice place. I have been here more then a year. However, they just changed management company in July and it went down hill from there. Worst communication. 1. They never told you how to pay for the rent when they change the management . I had to go to office in my day off and ask, pay in person 2. Things got turn to the worst when the hurricane hit. I called asking what needed to be done in my apt since I left town and they said “we will send email specifically for your apt”. Never happened. I had to get a friend nearby to come check the apt. 3. After almost a month , I decided to come back. Trying to call them before , still no specific answer. 4. After came back , the apt had some moisture remedy ongoing. Don’t look too bad, but still don’t know what was going on and what the plan was. Trying to call, but no answer. 5. Constitution crew shown up unannounced on Saturday morning saying “I have to demolish “ your apartment. I meant “how”, “why no one even communicate ahead of time”? 6. They move a bunch of stuff in the middle of the apartment, unhooked washer & dryer. Then left for lunch. Never come back. 7. Went to the office , trying to get more information. The only lady at the office “I have no information, not involved in scheduling the construction crew” if you want to complain, hers the manager s phone no and email (yeah right). I called, and it went to her. ??
Excellent - the services are prompt and well done. Beautiful grounds and overall peace and comfort.
Most happy here. Staff is friendly and maintenance is very courteous and service requests are handled promptly.
I have found it very pleasant other than local management needs to inform new tenants who inhabit upstairs to really try to be quiet so that the downstairs tenants are not Disturbed. I was here for 6 years and had an upstairs tenant that was very quiet and thoughtful. Recently the new tenants are very very noisy.
I have been a resident for a year and everyone here in the front office, maintenance and grounds personnel have been extremely attentive and prompt with all of my requests and needs. I am extremely happy here and I have initiated a new lease in a larger apartment for another 14 months. I intend on being here for a long time.
You cannot go wrong when you choose Ansley Place apartment
Beautiful well-maintained quiet living
Its a nice place to stay and its quite. The leasing office is very helpful. Parking horrible and I had some things that I needed fix in my apartment but it wasnt never resolved.
Overall I have a good experience with Ansley Place. I do feel safe and try to be a good neighbor. So far so good.
I love living here and don't plan to leave until I can no longer climb the stairs to my Carriage House Apartment! It's perfect, in a large, safe, well maintained community, but still isolated from sharing walls, floors and ceilings with neighbors. And so convenient to all needed shopping.
Overall, we have enjoyed the majority of our experiences at Ansley Place.
Love living here! Friendly atmosphere and made lifelong friends.
If you have any complaints and want nothing done about them, move here!!!
I would recommend Ansley Place if you are looking for somewhere phenomenal to live. The community is extremely welcoming and peaceful. The staff is customer oriented and professional! Katy really went out her way to ensure I was comfortable in Houma since I moved down here from a different state. She also made sure I had the perfect apartment to suit all of my needs. This is my first time moving out and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Thank y’all for everything.
Ansley Place is one of the better apartment complex to live in Houma. Other seem nice but once moved in not as expected. We have not have any disappointments at Ansley Place. Ansley Place has awesome maintenance - they come the same day! And the office follows up to make sure the work is done. Every month this summer we have had community gathers (free for tenants!), one month was hamburger, one month taco night, one month crawfish, and this friday is snowballs and pizza! There is something for everyone - pool, club house, dog park, kiddy playground, car wash, walking track. It is quite and set in the back of Houma out of the traffic. It is close to the stores and food (if you don't like to cook). Also it is in the Terrebonne High school District if you have teenagers. If you refer someone and they write your name down, you also get money --- sweet!! We love it here!
