South Montgomery is less than 10 miles away from Downtown Montgomery and spans the area surrounding the Montgomery Regional Airport. Neighborhoods with ranch-style homes and well-manicured lawns fill the land between the airport and the downtown area. Just south of these neighborhoods sits rural land with scenic views and a few unincorporated communities, including Snowdoun, Hope Hull, and Ramer. From apartments and houses in a suburban setting to homes in communities with a small-town feel, the southern portion of Montgomery has something for everyone.

Property Ratings at Anthos at Belmont
I been here since January and my apt been rained in and new floor they called put down coming up literally. I called and called maintenance been here but every time they come they have to come back but never do, the wood on the patio termites been at it the whole community is going down because of bad management. I called corporate for solution but I’m still waiting on the owner to call back been waiting since February the manager in the office is very unprofessional instead of handling the situation she mocking everything I did. Soon when my house is ready I’m breaking my lease and taking this community to court too many laws out here and Belmont acting up. I would never tell anyone to move here
moving out on my own from my parents house, this place seemed alright enough. The rental process took about five days including move in. I am in a 2 bd/ 2ba (900 sqft) on the vinyl side. It has a very spacious patio and living/dining room area. It was enough for my boyfriend and our then 1 year old son. However, I did not like that our oval cony faces a wooded area. Fastforward a month after we moved in and we found out that a raccoon had been living in our apartment. After four calls to the police with no help (animal control was closed because of Thanksgiving) we eventually lead the raccoon out of our apartment with a trail of Taco Bell leading outside. We ended up blocking the closet area where the raccoon came from with tons of boxes. We alerted the apartment to the situation and they only thing they said they could do would be to seal the hole. Two weeks later, they had yet to seal the hole. At this point we told the complex we wanted to move to a different unit and that we wouldn't mind paying the higher rent cost. The property manager told us we would have to complete the entire rental process over again. Not knowing any better we paid the app fee over again to start the process. After paying that we came in to finalize everything when they told us we had to pay another deposit and the rent was even higher than when they told us what it was going to be the first time. The manager told us we were costing him a lot of money to get a new unit ready for us. Then he said they tried to fixed the problem. At that point I knew they honestly didn't care to help us with our situation as no one came by the do anything to help us. We told exactly that to the manager and that we would have known if they came to seal the hole because we have a thousand and one things blocking the area and they would have had to move everything to even get to the area. So a week later they finally sent a maintenance person out seal the hole. Since then we've had minor maintenance issues that they usually fix on time. They seem to always set off the alarm after we give them the code. I would say this is a decent community, usually quiet but lately I've been seeing a lot of crowds out at night especially on weekends. I would recommend as a starter, but I'm also not renewing my lease. I will say of all the dealing I've had with the property manager I find that he's not helpful at all.
Upon move in the apartment was clean and freshly shampooed carpet. The apartment was very spacious. The maintenance crew came very quickly. I am very happy overall.
I've lived in the Belmont for a year and a half. When I first moved here, the apartment was nice and management was much better. They recently switched management companies and have all new staff. Maintenance is not an issue. (They always fix maintenance problems pretty quick.) The late fees could be more reasonable (they have substantially increased) and the gym needs to be updated with newer equipment. They have not cleaned the second pool this summer, only the first pool is cleaned. There are also a lot of pine trees out here, so expect to have problems with roaches. Also I have noticed that the apartments are going down and the area is starting to become rougher. There are also residents that I've spoken to that have stayed here for years and a lot of them have recently moved out or will be moving out due to the community going downhill overall. The Belmont was a gated community (which was my main purpose of moving here), but they took gates down and overall the community is going more downhill now that the management company has changed. I will not be renewing my lease. I prefer to move somewhere else where I feel safer and get my money's worth for better amenities. If you are looking to stay in this area, I would recommend moving here as a starter apartment for the first year, but overall I would not recommend this apartment as a long term living option.
