Property Ratings at Anza Victoria Apartments
I recently stayed at this apartment complex and was thoroughly disappointed. The place was unhygienic, with dirty common areas and poorly maintained facilities. For the high rent they charge, I expected much better amenities. Unfortunately, the amenities were minimal and of low quality, making the expense unjustifiable. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and well-maintained living environment.
I moved into Anza Victoria 2 years ago and hated to leave but have had a job transfer. I found the management staff friendly and help full, maintenance staff was efficient and got work done in a timely manner. The building is older but well maintained. Apartments are very spacious. I would recommend this complex.
Management is a stretch of a word for the staff that works here. I recently moved out due to Roaches , ants, noisy neighbors, car break ins, amazon packages stolen. And the deal breaker was seeing homeless people come in and out like they live here. Management won't do a thing except collect rent checks and occasionally fixed problems that they have covered up. This complex stays in business because they deceive renters , they get you to move in sign a lease and then the problems arise. Any excellent review on this place must be fake because it's bad here. Not sure how this place stays in business , probably one of the most low end apts complexes in the Torrance area. So glad I moved out a few months ago.
I hated to move but had to for a new work opportunity. Management was always pleasant and great to work with. They always responded in a timely manner. Neighbors were great, noise was normal for living in an apartment complex. I had a great experience and I recommend this complex highly!
Pro: Good location for its proximity to shopping and family friendly parks. Floor plans are large and most units have balconies. Con: The buildings are showing their age, though some cosmetic improvements have been made in resurfacing the walkways and re-doing flooring in some units. Sound also travels easily through the thin walls and floors - a fact we discovered when violent meth users moved in above us. Management ignored our requests to resolve the noise situation until the police were involved, and their attempts at resolution were administrative and had no teeth. We relocated in favor of a shorter commute and a full night's sleep. Overall, we would have stayed longer had we not drawn the short straw due to shoddy tenant screening. Vacancies are way up as of this writing, so try your luck?
The leasing office is terrible to deal with. Only ask one question at a time in an email or you won't get your questions answered. Once moved in, the leasing office will not be responsive to emails at all. Calling is not much better. Making it more complicated is the fact that the leasing office is closed except for signing leases and emergency issues. The property itself isn't too bad except you will have to walk by the stinky trash every day to get to your car. The quietness of the community makes this place a little easier to deal with as long as you do not need to talk to the lease office.
Where to start. Literally made an account just to write this. We’ve lived here for a year and it was painful. There were 8 car break-ins this year in our gated parking lot that actually has no locks, FAKE cameras, and NO nightly patrol STILL!! Ants EVERYWHERE!! Nothing gets fixed (our pool was broken when we moved in a year ago and is still “under construction”). The pictures on this listing must have been taken after a big remodel that happened 20 years ago as everything is broken and wood is rotting. I honesty wish I could do something other than just leave and write this review.
I used Apratments.com to search for homes in the Torrance, CA area a couple months ago. My current apartment was the second place I checked out and I fell in love! It's a quiet, family friendly building with a pool/Jacuzzi, rec room, BBQs, and laundry and is also close to the grocery store, restaurants, and the beach.
