Property Ratings at Apartments of Orland
Management is accommodating and friendly. Landscaping is well kept - buildings are well maintained. Lots of greenery and things to do in the area.
I've lived here for a year now, and I am so happy with the choice! Every issue I've had (with a fridge that decided to leak and an air conditioner that stopped working the hottest day of the year) was fixed within a day or two of me calling. When the air is on, you can't hear your neighbors at all, and when it's not, the most you can hear is if someone is talking in the hallways on their way to their apartment-and even then, it's muffled. I'm in a first floor apartment, so not having central air hasn't been a big deal for me. My electricity bill still does go from about $25-35 a month to $70 a month in the summer with a fan and the air on all the time. For those of you who want a 2 bedroom apartment, that means going to the second or third floor, which gets a lot hotter. I have friends in a different unit on the third floor who had to buy 2 portable air conditioners for their bedrooms, which has really been a blow to their electricity bill. That's the only reason I'd give this place 4 instead of 5 stars. It's a nice neighborhood, with a trail nearby and a good mix of people-everyone from people in their first apartment to young families to retirees. It feels safe and homey here, and I couldn't be happier with it.
As a teacher, I give the Apartments of Orland an A+ ! The apartments are super clean, very quiet, and a great value. Incidentally, all residents have to pass a background check to live here; this helps me sleep well at night. The management is friendly, highly professional, and compassionate. As a result, the snow is always plowed very quickly, landscaping is well maintained, hallways are clean, storage is generous in size, and laundry rooms are super clean and always functioning. Any of my repairs or renter's needs have been dressed promptly, resolved quickly, and with a smile. Here, it's both a very quiet place for singles, married professionals and a great community to raise children. The entire neighborhood is well-lit and very safe. Great shopping, gyms, fast food, Wal-Mart, Metra trains into Chicago, and fine dining are within a five minute drive. The school districts for elementary, middle, and high school are top-notch. Most importantly, everyone whom you meet is friendly and helpful. Over all, I've lived in many places and this has been the best experience thus far. I highly recommend it to anyone.
I had lived in a one bedroom apartment for 5 years and the experience was great. When there was a problem they were always out to fix it the next day. The office staff was friendly and more than willing to work with me while I was trying to buy a new place. It is near the heart of Orland Park but is far enough away from all of the shopping that it remains a nice and quiet area. I would recommend this apartment complex for anyone looking in the area.
