Property Ratings at Waypoint at Hammond
This place may look decent on the outside but when you stay here, you will find that’s it’s filled degenerates who absolutely trash the place. From people leaving condom wrappers on stairwells to people blaring music until 5:00am, this place is ruined by tenants that stay here. They do absolutely no background checks on their tenants so there’s a good chance your roommates gonna ruin your stay
Listen to the reviews, as someone who lived here, AVOID THIS PLACE. They are over priced for what you get out of the lease. Management is extremely unprofessional and money hungry. They overcharge for little things. Also DO NOT live here if you plan on rooming with randoms unless you can handle loud and obnoxious roommates. Rooms are NOT sound proof. Even if you room with friends, it is not worth wasting your money. They are not strict about rules either. There's dog waste everywhere other than the area by the front desk, no trash bags available to pick up dog waste, people leave trash on the ground, loud and obnoxious neighbors.
Could not give 0 stars!!!! You mine as well give them cash for your deposit, because you will never see it again. Took before and after videos and pics showing cleaner when we left than when we arrived. I also know for a fact that they NEVER entered room to check condition before keeping deposit and saying it’s justified. Put tape on top corner of door and took picture showing date. Had friend still living there, so when was told they were withholding $345, went back to take another pic of tape dated- still on door! It is their intention NOT to return your Deposit. It’s their business plan! Look at all reviews stating the same before u rent! Don’t say we didn’t tell u so!
They charged for everything considered wear and tear. Showed them pictures that were taken at move in didn't care. Referred to our walk through form didn't care and still got charged for those same items. I believe they charge everyone the same fees because I have spoken with other families and they have the same charges as me. Refuse to answer the phone, office door locked. We moved out early ( never asked for money back due to that) and they refused to do a walk through. I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy .
I lived here will my roomate and an APPROVED SERVICE ANIMAL. The woman manager was rude everytime I spoke to her and seemed completely disinterested in helping. When we moved in, our dryer held water. We out in several maintenance requests before it was fixed and when asking the manager about it, she told us that we shouldn't put clothes that are wet in the dryer and that's why it was holding water. There was mold growing around the vents in the ceiling. The manager told us it was from burning candles that we DIDN’T HAVE. When I mentioned that maintenance had to be careful when entering the apartment be because of my service animal, she remarked that it'd be a shame if they ever accidentally let her out. When we moved out, we were told we would not be getting our deposits because of "animal damages." When I explained that my animal did not cause these damages, I was told that the charge would be changed to something else instead of animal damages so we'd still have to pay it. I sent them pictures of the "damaged areas" in question from when we moved out and the pictures showed no damages. The manager was rude everytime we talked to her or had a problem. They did not care when Ida hit and displaced many of the residents. They only worried about getting paid. The internet didn't work most of the time and the lights would randomly go out for hours at a time. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
Great amenities and a safe, clean place to rent. Rented apartments for my son and daughter for 2 years. We had no issues with management, they responded quickly to any minor concerns over the years and resolved the issues without hesitation. We paid on time, parked in designated spaces, didn't bring in pets etc. Most reviewers are angry bc they didn't follow their lease agreement! Overall it is a great place to live!
Do not waste your money or risk your physical and mental well being to live here. The place is way overpriced for what they have to offer. They continuously cut corners in everything they do. They’re main focus is to suck every penny out of you and do not care if your personal well being is colateral in doing so. Management is absolutely awful and you will hate every time you have to deal with them. Good luck getting a response from them. And if you do, get ready to be completely disregarded and disrespected. The owner is just as bad as well. This place was a nightmare for the entire year and I do not wish this upon anybody. You are better off living literally ANYWHERE ELSE but here. Stay clear of this place. Do not let them fool you with this place being “fancy” or anything like that….it is certainly not.
I never write reviews, but this has to be the most rude and inconsiderate people I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Hurricane Ida has taken my family home from me, and I’m currently residing in Houston because of this. I lost my job due to the building getting damaged. And the only word we ever received from the Grande is how “amazing” they are because the apartment have such “cool” draining systems. Nothing about hoping we are safe or extending rent to a later date. But that’s not the worse part. They are expecting us to go to our apartments to clean out the fridges and how it “is not their responsibility”. Which is totally understandable, but for the people that cannot head home due to a literal hurricane that wiped out their town, you can be a little more considerate! Will definitely try to find a way out of this lease, they are not about community AT ALL.
Beautiful apartments with fantastic amenities! Great location, and even better service from the office staff! Especially Carletta. She is so helpful and friendly??I would recommend this location for anyone who wants to live hassle free.
The management don't have a concern for the residents here their biggest concern is you paying your rent. When you call them about problems you having they weeks to resolve them. This place is poorly built there are so many problems. Don't move here and on top of that they only offer one year lease so if you are graduating before your one year lease is up you are still responsible for the rest of the months.
Nice apartment but The place just isn’t as established as the others. The amenities hardly work. The fire place hasn’t worked since i’ve been living here. The manager doesn’t handle complaints properly. Cheaply made.
Terrible construction, terrible management and owners..
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Place is terrible cheaply made, they falsely advertise the amenities there were going to have. They constantly have people working on loud machine or walking on roof or even blowing out the stairways at 8 oclock in the morning. They have no respect and have no sense of privacy!! Place is a joke!!!! Staff is terrible!!! They advertise to pay online and then charge you 20$ to pay as a fee!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!
Buildings were suppose to be finished by August 15th with a move-in date. Only 6 of the 8 buildings were completed leaving SELU students in disarray. Promised move-in dates were canceled 3 times. A Florida Based Construction Company trying to building 7 buildings in 3 months.
