Property Ratings at Arbor Crossing Apartments
I love it here and everyone is friendly and nice. Treat you like you are truely home. I love the workers and Roberta in the office is wonderful. Thankyou Ben Hernandez and Celeste Anderson 102
It so cold downstairs why do they have the furnace upstairs for my mom had to pay nipsco 500 dollars for one month every winter glad we moved to a warm place.Cracks on the walls moldy all over and they charge for it
Advertised as a newly renovated townhouse, but I've had nothing but issues with my furnace and breaker box. Old management was far from helpful, new management has taken over but I'm still unsure of how this place will be run. I will not be renewing my lease
This townhome is perfect for me and my family. I do not hear my neighbors if they are loud, has a perfect little front yard my kids can play in, the prices are reasonable and the staff are friends. The new management is awesome!
New management is wonderful and easy to talk to/approach. Apartments are beautiful and usually quiet (but I live on the top floor so that may be different for other units, but I never hear anything). This is my first apartment and I hope to be here for a while as it was a great first experience renting.
I've lived at Arbor for over 3 years and the new management is great. They are making such wonderful improvements to our community and the property manager Niki is so friendly and really cares about her residents.
Moving from out of state so I arranged to see the apartments in the area. I made the appointment with them a week before my trip up. When I arrived the office was closed. Tried to reach them by the number I originally contacted them with and didn't get a response. I left several messages for them to please contact me for another appointment. Told them I could return to the office at their convenience while I was still in town. I never heard back from them back. I did return to try to catch the office open before return home. not able to ever catch anyone one I did take the opportunity to drive around the complex. one the photos are very misleading. The grass was long enough to cover my shoes. I thought when I returned the second time it would have been at least been mowed since my first visit. You could clearly see the grass started going to go to seed. decided if I couldn't get in to see an apartment at this time. I could at least walk around the complex to look it over so I'm not judging it to quickly. The back of the complex looked neglected. Some residents was using their living room sets as patio furniture. Mostly from what I could see the patios where more a place to store a cluster of random items. Since patios are not enclosed you see everything that is drugged out there. Not at all the image shown in the pics. Never saw inside the complex but couldn't imagine it's any different inside.
This place is awful and I recommend that no one live here. We moved out in May and STILL have not got our deposit back yet. You can never get a hold of them, they never do what they say. I'm beyond frustrated with this apartment complex please live else where you will thank me.
I have lived at the Oxford Courts / Arbor Crossing Apartments for a few years now. They are the cheapest apartments around; however, so is their service. While I've been here, they have gone through several property management companies. The staff seem courteous; however, there isn't any action behind their words. I still have open maintenance requests that are two years old. I still have major issues with scores of wasps that come in through my poorly installed AC units, which still do not cool properly. Buildings have missing windows that haven't been replaced. Buildings have poor concrete and wooden steps that are crumbling and rotting. In fact, in the hole in the concrete steps are wasps that congregate in them. When maintenance does decide to fix an issue, they do not give any notice before entering my home; they also leave a huge mess throughout my house when they leave. When major repairs are needed, they finally fix an issue, but then they leave the large hole in the wall open for a couple weeks before fixing the drywall. Then it takes them another week to get around to completely finish the job. I also have had some mold issues, and it has taken them several months to remediate those issue. The washer and dryers frequently break, and it takes a while for maintenance to get them operational again. The front doors to the buildings do not have a secure doorknob or lock. When it snows, the sidewalks are not shoveled or salted properly. As far as the grounds, there really isn't too much greenery other than the trees across the street near the pool and complex entrance. The staff does not give any attention to the loud and rowdy teens and college-age kids that congregate and party in the hallways. The walls are paper thin; it is very annoying to hear entire conversations from other units on all sides of me. I do like that I can pay my rent online; they use AppFolio. It is very convenient. The staff is somewhat friendly like I mentioned before. There is also plenty of parking, and the garbage dumpsters do get emptied frequently. That is a plus, because you would not believe the number of people that use our dumpsters in the midnight hours to dump. The current property management company seems to be trying to turn things around, but so has all of the other ones as well. I am hopeful things will get better, but I still would not personally recommend living at Oxford Courts / Arbor Crossing Apartments.
The apartments are getting better, the new management I feel is trying to make this place a nicer place to live. There are some things I really do like about these apartments and there is somethings I dont like about these apartments. The one downfall is the maintance here is awful, it takes forever to get anything fixed. I had my a/c unit blow up in the middle of the night and I woke up and my whole apartment was smokey. So the next day or so I called maintance and they came over to look at it, and tried telling me it was fine and that It just needed to be cleaned. And after a few weeks of complaining about it I finally got a new a/c unit. My front door doesnt lock only my deadbolt locks so if its not deadbolted you can just push the door right open, and ive complained about that since i moved in almost 4 months ago, and still nothing. But what I do like about this place is that it is convient to grocery stores and restaurants and close to work. They finally opened the pool up which is really nice to have in the summer time. And the main thing that I really like is that they work with you on rent, Its not a huge deal if you cant pay on time. I feel like they really do care about the residents.
