Northwest Greensboro sits just 10 miles outside the downtown area, but it provides a vastly different view of the city than the streets and suburbs around the city center. With access to Lake Higgins and Lake Brandt, Northwest Greensboro is a scenic setting that’s perfect for anyone who wants to be near urban conveniences, but enjoys the thrill of outdoor adventures and afternoons on the water.
The area of Northwest Greensboro is made up of a number of fantastic, unique neighborhoods and engaging apartment communities. The area’s vibrant outdoor atmosphere is broken up in spots by conveniently located shopping centers, big-box stores, and a few restaurants along the main thoroughfares. Bur-Mil Park provides 250 acres of pristine land set between the lakes to the north, and there are plenty of bike trails along the shores as well. Commuting to the city takes just a few minutes thanks to the interstates that serve the area.

Property Ratings at Arbor Ridge
Apartments are old and the problems you run into reflect that. The floor seems to have an unevenness to it on the floor level apartment (assuming it's from roots pushing their way up). Lighting is also an issue as there are only three lights in the whole one bedroom apartment (bathroom, "dining room" and kitchen). There have been multiple drain issues with both the toilet and the tub where roots have penetrated the pipes (floor level apartment). Property is relatively nice, but being forced to pay for a regular trash fee, on top of a "VIP" trash service with no option to opt out is ridiculous as there are multiple dumpsters relatively close to all buildings, so most people don't even use the VIP service that I've seen. Parking is ample, but the new reserved parking policy is absurd, as it just lets tenants pick what spot they want so who knows what will happen when those tenants leave and just seems to cause chaos. Definitely won't be renewing again.

My apartment at Arbor Ridge was the worst unit I have ever lived in. Management is extremely unresponsive; the majority of contacts I made to the apartment by phone, email, and text went completely ignored. The quality of the units is extremely poor. Multiple maintenance issues were present at the time of move-in to my apartment, including an issue with the unit's only smoke detector. When repairs are performed, they are often low quality fixes that just lead to more repairs in the near term. I had the impression there was very little quality to control to ensure units are actually move-in ready for residents. Maintenance can be slow to address issues. Arbor Ridge has an "emergency maintenance" policy on paper, but in my experience, they have refused to perform these repairs even when the stated criteria have been met. When my AC went out during the summer, it took 4 days for someone to even come look at it. My apartment was just under 90 degrees for several days after I had first requested maintenance. Additionally, the community is very unpleasant. Neighbors with speakers playing loud music for hours on end, car stereos blasting music on and off all throughout the night, pet waste everywhere (including in the parking lot, by people's front doors, and in the mailbox area). There is little to no enforcement of the community guidelines on the part of the office and in my experience, residents’ concerns go unaddressed. Overall, living at Arbor Ridge is extremely unpleasant. I regret leasing an apartment at Arbor Ridge, and I strongly recommend anyone considering this property to look elsewhere.

Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. All the pipes are old which causes horrible smells coming from your bathroom toilets, sinks and utility closet. Maintenance and the staff are no help. Neither is the property management. Dog poop everywhere and none of the amenities including the gym, pool and dog aren’t available to use and haven’t been in about 8 months. Do yourself a favor a skip this apartment
I was a resident of Arbor Ridge from April 18th until June 3rd. My first night there, I was had to deal with noisy upstairs neighbors and their dogs barking until 4 in the morning. I complained about the issue pretty to the onsite property manager Melissa. I even asked if I could transfer units. I was told no and was told to call the cops the next time the dogs started barking. Once I called them, they told me they can't do anything about the dogs and that the managers need to handle it. After that, they found another place for me to stay. Not only was I greeted by a gnat infested room, there was also leaks in the bathroom ceiling, water damaged cabinets and BLACK MOLD growing in the bathroom. I brought this to their attention and it took the management another day to fix the leak but never addressed the growing mold in the apartment even as I was moving out. The apartments are not great, and barely come with the necessities to live comfortably. The community is also messy and rude. I would not recommend ANYONE live here.
I lived here for 4ish years. I used to really love it here before new management took over. The people in the office who have been there forever are fantastic. They’re all rather kind and helpful with questions or complaints. Onto my grievances. If you don’t use your bank acc info to pay rent they try to charge you a 35 dollar convenience fee. There are no longer people who walk around and pick up garbage. They’re slow to respond to maintenance calls now. Dog poop is all over the place from bad neighbors. The person who complained about neighbors is right & in my opinion it’s only gotten worse. Rent has skyrocketed with the new owners. They seem greedy and like they don’t care about us. I really miss the old owners… It’s not a HORRIBLE place to live it is just going downhill after new management took over.
The apartments themselves are newly renovated, and I really love my apartment! I have been here now since November of 2016. The staff in the office are really nice to talk to and are very responsive. Maintenence issues (have only had the normal routine apartment issues) have been responded to super speedy and all issues corrected quickly! The main reason I chose this location is that it is SO very convenient to everywhere! Just a few minutes to everything on West Wendover, New Garden, Battleground, etc! The reason I'm only giving 3 stars has nothing to do with the physical apartment itself, or with the staff. Unfortunately there are a lot of criminals, drug dealers, drug addicts, violent offenders, etc that live here, and love to trash the community grounds with their garbage. Good thing though is that Arbor Ridge has someone that literally walks around the property every day picking up all their garbage to keep the property clean. It would be overrun with trash otherwise. Just look up the Greensboro police reports for this community and you will be shocked how many cars (and apartments!) get broken into/stolen, how many assaults are responded to here, even assaults with a gun, communicating threats, drug busts (both dealing and using), etc. Lots of very bad and very dangerous people live here unfortunately. There's also super nice people who live here too of course! I just stay to myself and enjoy how nice my apartment is and how great the location is, and again there's nothing the staff can do about all the criminals that live here (and have lived here for a long time) anyway, so just be aware of the bad apples that live here, and if you can stand having them sitting out in their cars at night blaring loud thumping music at full volume and throwing their garbage down all over the ground (bless the poor man who's job it is to pick it all up every day), then you will LOVE the location and staff, and you will love the newly renovated apartments as well!

Staff peaks in windows and tons of pit bulls. They clearly LIE about their pet policy. I do NOT recommend living here.
First off for starters the management is awful and not friendly. My roommate has had a water leek since october and ceiling is about to give in and they still have yet to fix and have been notified twice. The smell of marijuana is potent and always around. They have an awful pet policy, pit bulls, and other aggressive breeds are allowed to be here with a " letter from the vet" saying its not that aggressive breed. I wouldn't live here for free. I will not be renewing my lease and can't wait to get out.
Where I live is a blessing from God and my youngest daughter , she pick this place which is a great community the people here are very helpful with smiles all the time. The pool area and day room are very welcoming environment, The business space is very convenient for use of school work or business that is equipped with a computer . Very clean next to the highway easy access if needed and not far away from shopping areas or dinning . Very nice place . The apartments size are very unique and cozy. In addition by renting you save money and you some Apartment complex offer so many package deal from furniture rentals . One of the best parts is you don't have any yard work to do. washing machines to rent , and all maintenance is included by renting. Denise Ramos
I've been living here for several years and have had very little trouble. The management is friendly and the maintenance guys always do what it takes to help. Overall, very recommended.
