Property Ratings at Arbor Village Apartments
management has made amazing upgrades, the location is perfect, the rent isn't as bad as it is downtown.
Property Manager at Arbor Village Apartments, Responded To This Review
Good Afternoon, Thank you for your review! Kindly, Arbor village
1. Management tries to enforce the letter of the lease, but will not actually do anything to address their responsibilities in the lease. Unless you show up in person, and put up with bullying, intimidation, and deceit, don't count on them moving a finger to fix anything or address any concerns you may have. 2. The onsite laundry is not really there. Over half of the machines I've used in various buildings have some serious issues (almost all driers won't dry a load in an hour). Washing machines usually leak and take twice the projected time to wash. Oh also, all of this costs $1.25/wash or dry and the machines only take quarters. Well, some quarters, some of them are so old that they won't accept half the coins you put in. 3. The AC was installed at least 25 years ago. It consists of half-functional wall-mounted units that sound and act like they were purchased from the county jail when it was upgraded. 4. The "refurbished" apartments are more or less mythical. There is currently only one in the entire complex, and it has an exorbitantly high markup. One more is expected in 2-3 months. So, you're probably going to get one of the apartments with all the amenities from points 2 and 3. The bottom line is that there are plenty of good apartments out there in Ann Arbor for the same price and same beneficial location. If you really gotta live here, make sure you have extensive experience dealing with unprofessional management, or a law degree to tell them off.
