Arbor Woods Apartments

I did give this location two stars because of the location. It is in a great family friendly area. That's about all this place has going for it. The office manager is awful and rude. The one maintenance guy they do have is rally nice but is not very knowledgeable. My apartment was flooded twice because of a water issue above me. Nothing was ever done about the damage to my kitchen cabinets and walls. not to mention all the food I had to throw out because it got wet. Complained that my dryer didn't work for over a year before I got my lawyer involved. Finally got a new dryer but then they refused to renew my lease. Also, there were bugs EVERYWHERE. I have never seen so many ear wigs, beetles, & spiders. if my clothes hadn't been worn in a couple months, I had to check to make sure a spider didn't cocoon themselves inside.

Over priced run down units. Don't be fooled by the outside looks. Management is awful. Rude and inconsiderate. My 15 year old son is a better handyman then maintenance. Most units have black mold. Thank God we moved. Renter be aware!!!!!!

We have been living here for over a year now. We absolutely love it. We have a one bedroom and we love the walk in closet, private entry, our own washer and dryer. It's a pretty quiet complex and we love that. We've always had quick responses when we request maintenance.

Management is a joke and very lazy. You ask to get something fixed and it never happens. My dishwasher has been broken since August. My toilet wasn't secured to the ground so they wedged wood under it to keep it level instead of re caulking it. Walls are very thin now my whole apartment smells like smoke from neighbors. Upstairs neighbors are very loud and disrespectful. They stomp around at all hours of the day and night. Stay far away from this place and spend your money elsewhere unless you want to regret it.

The apartments themselves are nice. They are old but don't look it. I love how spacious they are. I didn't have to sacrifice a big room to get my big living space. I have a walk in closet and the best thing is my laundry room, private entrance and balcany. The problem is the management only like to cover up issues and not take care of them. They paint over mold under cabinets, in the bathroom tubs. They won't update appliances so you can get very old even dented stoves and fridges. It is a peaceful place. Although the walls can be thin neighbors aren't bothersome. This complex is also conveniently located near multiple freeways which is awesome as well.

I love living at Arbor Woods. I looked at several apartments in the metro Detroit area and I found some pretty nice places. However, I fell in love with Arbor Woods because of the great location (literally 5 min away from the freeway), full size washer/dryer in the apartment, private entry, pool and window over the sink that overlooks the beautiful scenery of the complex. Small community with a lot to offer!
