Property Ratings at Ardendale Oaks Apartments
Let me start by saying don't always go for the good reviews on the website. I'll start with the good. The area is very quiet and the parking is okay just depends on the day I guess. Application process was great. It wasn't a hassle to get in touch with anyone. Although, I was quoted for a different price when I signed my lease it was something different, which they told me it would stay the same rate. But hey I was okay with it still. When I received my key, I went to the apartment. When I tell you they did'nt try to paint the door, remove spider webs, or even sweep around it. Another red flag but I'm still going with the flow. Entered the apartment, the apartment was not clean at all, roaches everywhere, painting still not complete, and smell was horrible. I had to use my money for supplies to clean because I traveled over 6 hours to live here. Reported to the office, they assumed they knew nothing and housekeeping said the apartment was ready. Come to find out the apartment wasn't ready for me to move in but they wanted the money of course. Roach residue all over the cable box, in the cabinets like just ridiculous. The next month, the roaches wasn't any better. Yall they were fall out EVERYWHERE. YET AGAIN, I had to get someone to spray because they were all over. Reported again and over heard that the people before me where not clean at all. I could honestly tell like in the bathroom there is hair on the ceiling. they didn't bother to clean. so, they came again to spray. NEVER did they give or say anything regarding my apartment and how much im spending extra. Next month, spiders. Yall the spiders literally falling out the ceiling in my bedroom and not just one or two. Like I'm watching tv and laying in the bed! cool I put in a work order for pest control immediately. This past week, a snake was in my second bedroom. It was ridiculous. When I say, no one is taking it serious. I MEAN NO D*** BODY BUT ME. Now, its time to go seriously. LET ALONE, lease agent said the gate would be fixed a week after moving here. well guess what I been here 3 months and aint nothing fixed. My rent is too high for me to be experiencing this. I asked to break my lease and this lady never respond. I had to call the office and she talking about i have to pay rent until somebody rent it. ALL BECAUSE YALL OR NASTY AND THIS PLACE IS OLD (SUPPOSEDLY RENOVATED). The worst apartment EVER. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. SERIOUSLY. GO PAY GOOD MONEY FOR A NICE PLACE YOU CAN CALL HOME.
I give Arendale Oaks 5 stars!! The management and the team are great! The move in process is simple and easy! The price of the unit is great. I am very pleased with my decision to make Arendale my new home!
We’ve loved Ardendale Oaks! We were a bit nervous since we moved in sight-unseen, but we were pleasantly surprised by the space and quality. Karen and Toni were excellent to work with throughout the entire process and are very responsive to tenant needs. Would definitely recommend!
The community is friendly. The staff is professional. I love Arendale Oaks.

I moved to AO Apts. 4 years ago now. 1 bdrm & Studio. I love it. Close to everything. Ms. Karen the new Property Manager (placed me 4 yrs ago), I loved the 1 bdrm but was too big for me ... transferring was no problem. Management is very courteous & helpful. New pest control, they are really on top of things around here now! I recommend this place 'Highly'? ?? Do yourself a favor, Check It Out?
Property Manager at Ardendale Oaks Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback. Our staff continually strives to create a tranquil and comfortable environment for our residents. We are so glad to know that our seasoned residents are still delighted to call Ardendale Oaks home!
Mold in apts from constant leaks, roaches and rats infested in walls and attics poor management definitely not worth the money recommend looking a little harder
New appliances, clean units, quiet area, gated community. Very nice overall!
Shooting, break-ins, bugs, power/water shut off with no notice, no washers or dryers on site so have to drive to wash clothes, water pressure problems, get home and house smells like weed from neighbor smoking, the front ladies are great and I can tell they are trying but the place just isn't worth the price yet as many problems and as much of a headache it is to just live there
With the recent happenings at Ardendale I was a little scared to live here as I am a single female but the office's response to the situation has made me feel better about staying here. I notice that we now have two police officers that watch the property at night as well as more security cameras being installed. The gate is key access only so that also keeps unwanted traffic out. If Ardendale continues with these improvements to the property I could surely see myself staying here for awhile!
Someone was just recently killed here. I live here now and want to get out. It is not safe and I am scared for my life everyday that I am here. They have no security and the property manager does nothing to make this even a decent complex to live at. If you have a choice stay far away. I had my car broken into twice already and the people in the office are of no help. If you have kids or family look else where.
Ardendale Oaks is a great place to stay.. i love the environment its pet friendly the managers are great and my neighbors or nice as well.
Ardendale Oaks Apartments have been renovated from old no so great area to live in to a updated safe location to now live in. There will be many new features to the community once finished that will make these apartments stand out from the rest. The one bedroom is 720 sq ft which is a great size that is somewhat hard to find at the price range that is given. Neighborhood is fairly quiet. If there are any problems with neighbors, management will be there to help with the issues quickly, if there are problems with maintenance, it will be resolved in a timely manner. Once renovations are completely finished, these apartments will be an excellent choice.
Beautiful apartments !!!!! Im so happy I chose these apartments. I never had a problem with anything in the building. My neighbors are also really nice and friendly.
OMG!!!! Ardendale Oaks Apartments are so awesome. I have been living here for a month now and its so peaceful. The new renovations is making these apartments the nicest apartments in North Baton Rouge. The new management, maintenance, and landscapers are very friendly. I love the spacious apartments, gated community, and peaceful surroundings. I also love that its directly in front of my school i will be attending next fall. I would refer anyone to move to Ardendale Oaks Apartments. Its a lovely renovated property.
My wife and I lived in a Gibraltar Property from 2014-2016 (until the Flood), and we never had a bad experience. We just moved into Ardendale Oaks and it's already been great. We moved up our move-in date by several weeks with almost no notice, but management rolled with it and got us into a unit, and they were super nice about it. There were a couple issues with the shower when we moved in, but management and maintenance were very responsive. Considering we how much we rushed them with our updated timeline, I'm nothing but pleased.
Ardendale is such a beautiful property! I've been living here since February and I love it! The managers and maintenance are very friendly and the landscaping is wonderful. I live in a newly renovated two bedroom apartment and it has so much space! The best thing about this place is that I feel very safe, this is a gated community with code access only so it puts my mind at ease knowing I'm in a good place. Ardendale Oaks is a great newly renovated property that anyone would be lucky to live in!
I've lived in Baton Rouge for two years. Previously I lived in the bluebonnet area and decided that I needed to find a more afforable apt but also safe. Everyone told me to stay away from the north lobdell area. But I found aredendale oaks and decided to try it. I am pleased to say I am very happy. The rent is def affordable and since I've been here it has been quiet and very peaceful. My apt is very spacious and having 2 bathrooms along with walkin closets is def a plus. Everything is very convient and not far away. Ardendale has fulfilled beyond my expectations.
My apartment is very small. It is called efficiency because it only has a bathroom, kitchen, and the living g room and dunning area is combined. Because of my disability it is the only place I can afford to live. My utilities here are expensive for me as well. Because the apartment is located Upstairs, at times it makes things complicated for me. Last but not least, maintenance is on the poor side. Things go undone.
If you are looking for decent prices you are the right place. If u are looking for quality I'd advise you to look else where. The staff is switched nearly every 3-4 months including management. Work orders take in between a week or a month. Management is unprofessional. My apartment was broken into and my tv stolen. I talked to the manager and told her that it must have been maintenance because when I came home that day I had to unlock my door to get in. My apartment was trashed and window broken I guess to make it seem as a home invasion.
