Well-serviced by major roadways and well-supplied with retailers and rentals, the Northeast Hazel Dell-Starcrest neighborhood has what it takes to make its residents happy. Locals can hop on I-5 for a trip north to Seattle or take the same route south for the five-mile drive to downtown Vancouver. Apartment-hunters strike accommodation-gold with most choices found at the heart of the neighborhood. For shopping, locals have it made.
Although flat terrain, green trees, and low-rise buildings create a resident-friendly vibe, commercial enterprise outweighs residential property in this district. Several grocers and big-box stores supply the goods to take care of everyone's basic needs. Small businesses put an independent spin on the retail landscape. You can kick back with the locals for an evening of craft beer and thin-crust pie at the Blind Onion Pizza & Pub, or you can indulge your inner diva with a pedicure and massage at Hadassah Salon & Spa.

Property Ratings at Ardenwood Station
I moved here 6 years ago with my daughter, and I have loved living here. The apartments are modern and attractive, and the staff is always responsive and friendly. I'm moving to another area to be closer to downtown, but I will really miss living here!
"Rolls Royce?" Management should be precluded from hyping up their rentals.... Place is livable at best, kids are treated like parasites by managers, no bikes in common areas or in the parking lot per policy, sidewalks are okay (so they can plow the elderly or toddlers). "Bark Park" goes almost entirely unused and instead of enforcing the policy of issuing a lease violation fine, dogs can crap where ever, when ever as long as it's picked up. Doggie drops a steamer at the edge of your patio? Oh well. If you have kids, avoid this hole like the PLAGUE, there is nothing here for them to do. Several residents inquired about a play area and were dismissed with "we don't want the liability" yet they allow "dangerous" dog breeds prohibited by the lease.....? If you want to have guests over for any type of gathering better make it early as parking is worse than downtown, almost everyone has 2 cars and it fools up quick&??y
We listed our home and it sold in two days. We were scrambling to find another place to live and remembered driving past Ardenwood Station. We were very pleased at how politely and professionally we were greeted, the look of the property, and the clean and spacious apartments ( washer and dryer included in each unit). We moved in and came to really appreciate people such as Joel who was so quick to respond to any question or concern we had. The property is very well maintained, and we appreciated that with three vehicles ( mine, my husband and our college-age son) we were able to have parking as well. The management does so many things to make this a community and a "home" for it's residents. Birthdays are remembered, back to school treats for the kids, a pet play yard, community room, movie nights, patio decorating contest, cute pet of the month...We loved that it is close to shopping, and easy access to the freeway, yet still quite quiet. The fitness facility is a bit small but has all the basics- weights, machines, treadmill ( although it is a bit squeaky! lol), elliptical etc. There is a computer station and pool table in the community room as well. We were very happy with our time there and feel good about our son taking over the lease as he moves on with his life and career.
Places like Ardenwood Station are few and far between in Hazel Dell, or even all of Vancouver for that matter. My girlfriend and I decided to move in together on a whim and Ardenwood was the first and last place we went. Everything from the carpet, to the kitchen cabinets popped as soon as we laid our eyes on it. As you walk into your new home you immediately notice how open the layout is; our particular unit is a two bedroom, one bath with double sinks and an extra big double vanity mirror. The kitchen and the living room are a comfortable distance from each other, with a dining area separated by a bar, which is one thing that sold us. The lighting is excellent, and there is a fan in every room which circulates air whether it's summer, winter, fall, or spring..... And trust me you will get all of those seasons here.. maybe even in the period of a month, so that's a plus. Another feature that sold us on Ardenwood is the deck, which is adequately sized for a 2 bedroom apartment, and suits us very well. It's private and spacious enough to decorate it how we please. All units at Ardenwood Station also come with new washers and dryers, so no more rolls of quarters for you! (Unless you just like quarters)
