Property Ratings at Astoria Apartment Homes
I have lived in my apartment for 12 years. I have a two bedroom two bath apartment. I absolutely love the apartment. I have huge closet a huge pantry, my own washer and dryer in my apartment and the kitchen is OK. My only negative is that it’s very hard to get anything fixed
Do not move in here, shootings, pathetic management, dirty complex, managers don’t care about anything, dirty pool, no gate and expensive too I repeat do not move here, we are moving out as soon as possible
Love it there!!! Staff is great and very helpful. Would go back for sure. Tasha was incredibly sweet and made me feel good about everything there.
This place is going down heel. Changing the name numerous times is where it started. Removing the gated community didn't help. You want to enforce all these rules but not fix the place. There's so many things needing to be fixed in my apt but HEY I guess you'll fix them when we move. Then now have the audacity to up the rent (which is expected with the economy), charge for a NON WORKING light pole OUTSIDE the building (WHO DOES THAT). People smoke (.....)and the smell comes into my unit. People are BBQing on balconies (got proof). Pool is never open, still no carwash. I'm quite sure pest control is diluted and I won't even start on the speeding through the parking lots. I need you to have the same energy when you take that rent money every month and do what you need to do to these dwellings. And people still letting dogs do whatever and not cleaning up behind their pets. Like I've stated in all my reviews it's in a great area with great square footage. I'm still pondering on more pros.
Thumbs up! Great location, the rates do change every month! Please understand the rates and all the Bells and whistles before signing up for a lease.
Not gated anymore. Might as well do the maintenance yourself. It's kept clean on a positive note and quiet. Close radius to Airport and surrounding shopping areas.
I have been asking for quite some time to have several things fixed in my apartment and they never respond. Now I have this loud noise every time something in my building flashes and I still can’t get that fixed and now they bought to build me because I left the garbage can out when I have a very hard time working and it’s very difficult for me to do at this particular point. I’m really considering after 12 years looking another place
New management is great. Wish we had a gate. Pool could be kept up more frequently. Noise is a little loud in breezeway. Love the staff. Super safe complex. Love living here.
Nicest part about living here was fantasizing about leaving. Mold in the entire building 3 walls, all stories going up.
It's a very nice and quiet community. Close to shopping area, restaurants and the park. I would recommend these apartments to anyone seeking a place to call home.
New management has made great improvements to property and are all very friendly and helpful. Fairly quiet neighborhood area and lots of friendly people in the community.
Great area but apartments are in desperate need of a makeover. The website is nothing like the actual rental. The rent is too much for the subpar place you actually rent.
Office staff and maintenance are truly amazing and super friendly! They always help when there is an issue and get the job done! The neighborhood it quiet and everyone is nice.
It is in a nice area. Not too far to accommodate any shopping needs and gas stations are conveniently close as well. Also very close to the park.
Don't rent here. Constant issues with the water lines breaking. Office staff never returns phone calls or emails. The property stays lottered with trash. But they are making an effort to make the outside of buildings look nice. They really need to focus on the inside.
The Apartment community is great! But the price to live here changes every month. There is not a flat rate to live here. My rate goes up every month unexpectedly, and I haven’t even been here a year. When you are out looking for a apartment this is something to consider, especially if you are trying to budget!
Such a quiet community! All the people are super sweet and we haven’t had many issues! The staff is always willing to help when possible!!!!
Been here since October and I still don’t have a bedroom door to the master bedroom. There’s always something breaking. It’s hard to get maintenance due to them being short staffed. Now my toilets aren’t able to flush because the handles need fixing. I put in a notice 4 days ago and had to call the office. No one still hasn’t come yet. Now the pipes are being worked on today the water supply has been shut off. The community gets noisy at night. Tenants ride through here blasting there music at all hours of the morning. When you complain, nothing gets done. They have a bad roach problem here, doesn’t get sprayed enough. The office staff could get better at answering the phones. You can call multiple times and they will not pick up. You’re better off seeing them face to face to resolve any issues. Other than those things, we love the lay out of our apartment and the outside upgrades the new owners are doing to help the community look great.
Great experience here!! This is the first apartment I have lived in. Such a great location in West Mobile. Such a lively community with such kind residents!
Have been living here for almost 2 years. Very happy with the staff and how quiet the complex is . Anytime there is a maintenance problem, the office tends to it right away
My residence experience has been pleasant thus far. Whenever I have a problem, Tasha and her helpful staff are always willing to assist however they may.
I absolutely would not recommend anyone to move here. Highly disappointed in everything about the place. Only been here for 10 days and everyday I’ve found something new wrong with this apartment. The door has too much wiggle room with no secure latch. I have a broken window pane. The ceiling fan when on wobbles uncontrollably. In my “what’s suppose to be renovated” kitchen the floor is coming up, one side of the sink doesn’t drain, garbage disposal doesn’t work, ice maker doesn’t work, when the water is on its constantly knocking through the walls and floors. Under the sink smells terribly bad. There are several dents in the kitchen. Moving on to the bathroom, the tub was not clean, the vents are not on , in each drawer the previous tenant hair was left in, the sink is rusted, under the sink the paint is bubbling up because when the water is running the sink leaks. Which also results to a foul smell. The closet in the bathroom also stinks. The laundry room also stinks. The bedroom isn’t too bad it just has petty problems. Like the plugs don’t work, a few dents, and the blind thingy is loose. The reviews on here are very accurate. Before moving in I tried to ignore them thinking that it would be different, but it’s not. I had so many red flags and ignored them all. I had one key at move in, communication was terrible, the unit was not MOVE IN READY and still isn’t. This place needs work. The plumbing in this unit is bad. I have photos and videos of everything. I do not want to spend an entire year here. For the price of these apartments it is not worth it. They are not luxury only the office. I’m only giving it one star so that I can post my review.
I love my apartment. But I have a hard time at times getting some work done. I’ve asked to have my carpets cleaned forever and they just don’t do it and I’d ask for a new floor of the bathroom after they replace the toilet and several other things. But I have lived here for 12 years so something must be OK
My time at Astoria has been a wild ride. I've lived here for nearly 3 years and I can say it's definitely ending on a high note. I won't go into past difficulties because it was under different management at the time. Since then, bouncing back from COVID restrictions, I've noticed significant improvements in maintenance response times and care. My only real complaint is the valet trash. I've had issues with pick up and calling them didn't do any good because I couldn't get ahold of anyone and no one responds to my voicemails. As much trash I have to take to the dumpster myself because it sits there or gets ripped open by raccoons (leaving me to clean up the mess), I'd love to opt out of this service because it's not convenient or even consistent. Like the name, this service is trash.
It has been an amazing experience living here, I literally have no complaints whatsoever, The apartment definitely feel more like a home, The management and maintenance staff is amazing.
Office staff is absolutely wonderful!!
Took a week and a half and a call to office to get a response after i submitted the work order online
Love the complex overall, but maintenance was subpar
The previous management was the best. However, the new management is the worst. Mentioned water licking from the bathroom ceiling, they never responded back. Been using half broke dryer for the last six months which we mentioned three times. Guess what, no response either. On top of that, the upstairs neighbor is so loud (even at mid-night). They were unable to address this too. Once here the living quality was the best. Now no living condition at all. You find a better apartment with the same price range around it. Do not recommend it!
YES
Lived here a long time and always had good service
I have lived here for a long time and do love my apartment
I have lived at Arlington park for a few months now and I absolutely love living here! I called on a Friday to check for availability and they were able to move me in on Monday. Reading some of the reviews on here really surprises me since I haven’t had one single issue since living here. I have had to put in 1 maintenance request (to change smoke detector) and they came and fixed it the very next day. The office is always spotless and the staff have been awesome! Gym and pool are always tidy and clean and the dog park is big enough to wear my blue heeler out. I feel completely safe walking around at night and have great neighbors. Living at Arlington Park has been wonderful so far and I’m so glad to call this place my home.
It is relatively quiet. The complex is kept in good repair. The residents seem to care about the buildings and help keep the complex clean and neat.
I love the staff and the layout of my apt. I've lived here for a long time and this is the best staff thus far.
Cleanliness of exterior, upgrades, new carpet and air conditioner needs to be better
I don't even want to leave this place 1 star. We had some immature people move above us a few months ago who have almost drove me to insanity. Literally sounds like they are dropping a couch off of their bar and will stomp, run, anything at all hours of the night. Tried to talk to the guys ourselves politely but they were so rude about it.. that's why they get the immature label. We have called the office, and the courtesy officer more times that I can even recall at this point but they have done absolutely nothing to help. The courtesy officer doesn't even bother anymore and the office doesn't return our voicemails that we leave really late at night when they are having parties until 6am. The management doesn't care here, they just care about their rent checks. This is the main reason we are not renewing our lease! If you decide to move in here, you just better hope you get good neighbors because there's no one to help you

Absolutely worst management ever!! They make up stuff when it comes to lease exit. They charge you for stuff and don't even know how to justify it!
The apartment complex is nicely kept and in a great area. I think the units are priced fairly when you consider there's a washer and dryer already in the unit. When I moved in, the carpets had been vacuumed but there were still stains from the previous renters. There are also paint stains on the carpet from when it was repainted. I was shown the apartment when I got here because I moved from over 700 miles away and didn't have time to come down and check out places. When I was being shown the apartment, the lady seemed upset that I mentioned that the carpets didn't look like they had been cleaned. The place seems understaffed in regards to office staff and they aren't super friendly. The maintenance workers are very friendly and helpful though. I haven't been able to meet my neighbors much because we're home at different times.
Is a pretty quiet place to live most times. The front office has a nice atmosphere. Great location in mobile. Nice restaurants,!schools, churches, and stores in the area. Maintenance could improve greatly. People never clean up behind their pets at the pet park. Rent can be pretty pricey.
