Property Ratings at Arlington Village
We have been residents here for 2 years and the maintenance men are incredibly rude and condescending. The first week we moved in, there was a leak from our bathtub and it made its way to the kitchen ceiling where the drywall collapsed and made a mess. This was at night time. There is a "24/7" maintenance hotline and the apartment provides you with a list of what is deemed an emergency of which one is a leak through the ceiling. My boyfriend calls them and they yell at him. The maintenance man says "I'm at the employee holiday party, I'm not coming over for that" and abruptly hangs up. It takes him about 2 days to arrive at the apartment and then he apologizes but not to the boyfriend at which he yelled. They did not fix the leaky pipe but rather put putty over the hole for it to dry and paint so I can't take a bath because if even just the smallest bit goes into the overflow, it leaks into the kitchen and they have expressed they have no intention to replace it. Today it is about 80 degrees out as it is almost summer and has been hot all week and our apartment is currently at 85 degrees with the "cold" air on and window open. We call the maintenance man at 7 PM and as soon as I tell him it's over 80 degrees with the a/c on he says again "I'm not coming out for that, open a window." The lease paper says to call them if there is no a/c and the outside temperature is above 80 and with the window open my apartment is above 80 so it must be near or at least 80 but he refuses to come out to fix it. I explain it's very hot and it would be appreciated but he says that he cannot give me special treatment and then he hangs up the phone. The office staff is generally nice so it is shameful I do not see them as often as we do the maintenance people because they really don't "maintain" anything. Moving in the apartment was disgusting, everything was painted over (classic landlord special) and it is very drafty.

Hello, we understand how frustrating it can be when an appliance isn't working properly and affects your life and comfort. However, maintenance issues that are considered an emergency are associated with fire, flooding, and/or an injury that results in medical attention. If it was determined that the concern was not an emergency, the work orders are completed in the order they are received in accordance with Fair Housing Laws. We empathize with your situation and will remain in contact with you until the problem is resolved. If anything comes up before or after resolution, please email us at residentservicesoh@monarchinvestment.com.
I did not live here but took a tour and the property staff was so unprofessional. The apartments look nothing like the photos shown here. Absolutely disgusting. The vents were filled with dirt. The paint was done terribly. Talk about landlord special. I'm shocked I didn't see roaches while walking around. The carpet didn't even look like it was laid properly. I'd rate it a 0 if I could. The best looking part of the entire apartment was the basement and I think that says a lot.

I truly mean this when I write this, please do not move here. My apartment had roaches in it when I moved in. Plumbing was horrendous. Truly a nasty place.

One of the cheaper options in the area for a 2 bedroom for sure, but as long as i've lived here management has been completely useless. My bathroom has needed a repair since the day i moved in 7 months ago and they've yet to fix it no matter how many times i call. don't really recommend unless you really need a CHEAP option.

I am a current resident and have called, multiple times, about the poor quality of the hallways and the smell in most of the hallways. It smells like you press your nose into someone's botty hole. I have used ten cans of glade in my hallway and nearby ones also. The smell comes back and management does not care. I've had to do most repairs my self. I have had to spray for bugs myself. This place is over priced for how little is looked after
Property management is very rude and unprofessional. They do not keep the apartment buildings clean. One night I came home and the key to my apartment and apartment door was left unlocked from maintenance leaving it thereafter a maintenance check. No apology or anything when I turn in the spare key.
Arlin Village are some of the nicer apartments in this area. I think their policy on the restricted parking, and towing cars without parking permits really helps. This place is very good for people with children, or pets. There is an open field adjacent to the complex that is ideal for play or pet walking. It has all the normal amenities
