The Ridgemoor neighborhood lies in the southeastern corner of Grand Rapids. Major roads form a square around this quiet residential area, including 28th Street, Breton Road, Burton Street, and Ridgemoor Drive. Well-maintained streets and manicured lawns lead up to substantial brick houses throughout the community. Numerous residents enjoy tranquil strolls under the mature trees that shade the sidewalks.
On the weekends, residents can also be seen outside washing their cars, completing DIY home projects, and grilling on their back decks. Ridgemoor provides a peaceful, relaxing place to live that rests within easy driving distance of significant Grand Rapids landmarks while still maintaining a suburban feel.

Property Ratings at Arrowhead Apartments
This is a great location near many necessities (mall, grocery stores, bus stop, etc), which is why we originally loved the place. However, the rent is very high for the amount of space you get, the management is very bad at communicating effectively and in a timely manner, repairs take way too long to get completed (took us almost 4 months to get our dishwasher replaced, all the while we were charged for having the ammenity) and they will find any reason to squeeze another dime out of you. If at all possible, find somewhere else to call home.
I've lived here for almost a year, and it is quite convenient being so close to shopping and other things. Each apartment has its own private entrance and utility room for washer dryer hookups and storage. Like one other reviewer stated, the walls are quite thin. You hear EVERYTHING going on outside, even with the windows shut, although I haven't heard my neighbors other than the occasional banging around. The electricity bill is INSANE!!! I have a one bedroom with the temp set fairly low and my bill in the fall/winter months is well over $100, closer to $200. In the winter months the road leading to the property and the entrance into the parking lots isn't sufficiently plowed and/or salted and gets very slushy and slippery. The actual lot gets cleared out often enough however, that's one thing I've noticed they do better than most other places I've lived. Overall it's a good place to live, but the electric bill will murder your wallet.

Maintenance left trash, can hear next door neighbors stomping and talking, office staff leaves early most days but are nice, my apartment isn't on the parking lot, noticeably cheap and unattractive repairs, furnace from 1993, first electric bill 159$ in a 1br with fridge off and furnace set below 70 only on from 6pm to 6am. Insane. They say water is free, but there's an 18$ 'utility' charge added to rent. Security deposit is very reasonable, application fees will exceed 100$. Poorly insulated. Overall, I don't feel like it's worth the costs, especially with the electric inefficiency.

I love the mid-century feel of my spacious and comfortable apartment. The staff is friendly and helpful and the neighbors are quiet. My living room window overlooks the large field behind the complex, so when I come home at night, it is like I live at Hyde Park. Love it.
These are nice apartments. The layout is appealing and the landscaping is pretty good. The staff is very friendly and, in my experience, eager to help. The rent is very reasonable. They have people out and about cleaning the grounds every day. But... The walls are like tissue paper. If your neighbor watches TV, you are going to be listening to it. It doesn't matter how quiet the TV is, you're going to hear everything clearly. If your neighbors have a conversation, you're going to hear every word. You'll hear everything that happens outside whether your windows are open or shut. Also, there are so many dogs, and they never stop barking. Basically, if you live here, you're not allowed to sleep. Perhaps because the rent is so reasonable, a certain type of loud and obnoxious people are drawn to the apartments. There's constant yelling, shouting, and partying when the weather is nice. Because of the thin walls, you get to hear all of it. Some apartments are pretty far from the parking lot, which means that you have to walk for a few minutes to get from your car to your door. This is inconvenient if you have groceries or other things to carry. It makes moving in and out extremely difficult. Most importantly, it requires that you walk by a bunch of super creepy people (see the above paragraph). If I was female, I don't think I could live here. Finally, the electric bill is going to kill you. In the winter, even without using the heater, the electric bill is upwards of $200 a month. In the winter it drops to upwards of $100. To put that in perspective, running all of the same electronics in other apartments costs around $30 per month.
