I have lived in my apartment unit here at Arterra for 15 years. I have seen a lot of changes over the years! Currently, I am pleased with the management staff and the overall condition of the grounds and buildings - except for the stairwells.
0/10. Horrible leasing and move in experience. Everything came down to the last minute and no questions were answered. Charged more than i was quoted and couldn't be fixed because of lack of time/communication. If you ever need to speak to a staff member prepare to wait 2-3 weeks.

Hi, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We regret that you had a negative experience, and will use this as an opportunity to improve.
This place doesn't care about the safety of their tenants except to overcharge them and collect rent from them. Druggie and Homeless walk freely in and out of the apartment grounds. No Security Cameras And No Security guard for nights on the apartment grounds. Don't be surprised if things start to go missing from your car and on back patio, its probably your neighbor that stole it. Some tenants living in apartment are in connection to the druggie and homeless that walk in and out of the apartment. About the only place nice is the office staff and the workers. They try to reach out to the community and make sure they're taken care of.

Falsely advertised property. At first glance maintenance does not seem to do there job. Very dirty property on the outside and even on the inside. This property is not worth what you would be paying in rent; especially even in the renovated apartments. The only pleasant experience throughout the leasing process was the responsive and polite staff members.
I love living here at Arterra. The community is great and all the staff are friendly and helpful with what ever it is I need of them.
Overall Arterra is a very nice place to live. Ive lived here going on two years and in that time the property has always been well maintained with continued improvements to the buildings and the community as a whole. The staff members are all great and very accommodating. The management strives to make our community a clean and safe place to live. And there are always activities and helpful workshops offered.
En mi caso personal,el unico problema es que cuando entrè todo ya estaba en no muy buenas condiciines y entiendo que no lo van a renovar hasta que me salga.
Arterra is one of the best appartment communities I have lived in, everytime I need something fixed I know I can trust the maintenance team to get it done a.s.a.p . My overall experience here at Arterra is amazing and I wouldn't and don't want to live anywhere else. The staff here at Arterra help make this place what it is, and that is a overall great place to call home!
This complex is a little nugget of peace. Neighbors are friendly, its a great place for family! The staff are kind as well! Great place to live.
Staff were generally nice and tried to be accommodating. Apartment had some nice amenities like your own washer and dryer. Not nice though my floors and shower were dirty when I moved in. The stove/oven, baseboard heater and garbage disposal did not work either. There is a fee for most everything and being Western Washington it will be way overpriced. Would not recommend to anyone.

Dear Valued Resident(s), I would love to learn more about your experience and how we can improve. We try to address all maintenance and cleaning requests quickly as we learn of them. We are so sorry your experience moving in was not up to par. We value and appreciate our residents who reside in our community and want to create a positive living experience. My door is always open and I appreciate any feedback you have to offer. Respectfully, K. Keller Community Property Manager
It only took one month after moving in for the cabinets to start falling off the hinges and when we notified the office, they literally picked up the cabinet, put the screws back into the very loose hole it had just fallen out of, so the door was insanely loose and ready to fall right back out again, WHICH IT DID! Go figure! When we notified the office the cabinet was still insanely loose, Molly simply requested we “not jiggle it”… Needless to say the screw fell out once again, except this time it fell into the drain, breaking the disposal! We emailed Molly and Andrea immediately, since our kitchen sink was our only working sink (because the bathroom drains were still clogged from moving in), we needed it fixed immediately. My fiancée emailed them on the 24th, when the drain broke, three days later when they hadn’t responded and the sink had been filled with stagnant, murky, filthy, moldy, smelly water for days creating quite the cesspool. When I emailed the office again, we had been forced to live without a working sink for 6 days and when the office finally reached back out to us, Molly’s response was “sorry I was on vacation”. After they finally came to repair the disposal and the cabinet, there was garbage and remains of things that had been stuck in the disposal from previous tenants left on the counter for us to clean. They repaired the cabinet just as before putting the same exact cabinet door and hinge that had fallen off twice already in the same loose holes right back on! When it fell off for a third time, we decided to give up and just not have the cabinet! Because the sink had sat for so long unattended, the pipes below the sink started to leak. When we noticed it, there was a huge rotting area below the sink which smelt of mold and filth. We notified the office immediately, they never even looked at it and was there until the day we moved out. We were very fortunate to be able to break our lease early even though the Andrea and Molly made it as difficult and costly as possible. Thanks ladies!
(2/3) .. Before we signed our lease, we were assured that parking was available for free if you did not want to buy a covered spot, and that the cabinets were brown like in the pictures on their website. Both of which were very untrue. The cabinets were white, they used to be brown at some point, which was easy to see because they spray painted them white and left the hard to reach areas unpainted! On top of the fantastic paint job, all the cabinets in our apartments were hung crooked, were falling off, or were broken from previous tenants. It took management 5 days to respond to our many emails we sent upon moving in about our many concerns which we had about the apartment. The parking was one of the most annoying fiascos. There were two visitor’s spots on the property both always filled and then staff parking, which we were told to use, but also always filled. We had to circle the parking lot for 45 minutes on multiple occasions waiting for a spot and both times forcing us to park in restricted areas where our car was likely to be towed. Both the bathroom sink and tub drains were completely clogged from previous tenants (it took the sink around 1 minute to drain after just washing your hands). Despite the 5 emails I sent regarding the drains on different occasions, it took them 6 months to address the issue at which point it was taking our shower over 26 hours to drain after one shower, REPULSIVE! We assumed that when we had to get our tub replaced because the side concaved and filled with a large bubble of water, that they would finally address the drain, but of course not!
(1/3) My girlfriend and I arrived Friday around 2:45 from Arizona, we sat in the office for around an hour and a half waiting, because the keys somehow were not made, although our lease started the 21st and it was now the 25th. Once Andrea finally tracked down maintenance, they couldn't find keys for the lock that was on the door so they had to drill out the lock (damaging the door around the lock). When we finally got into our apartment, after driving for 32 hours and waiting for 2 (adding the time we had to wait in our apartment for maintenance to finish with the lock), maintenance left without giving us the keys! We sat in our apartment for another hour and finally Andrea brought us a set of keys (which didn’t even work) and at that time ensured us that we would be "taken care of" for such an inconvenience, (of course that never happened). A few DAYS later, they finally got us new keys which we still could not get the mailbox open with because when they changed the lock on the mailbox they bent the mailbox which now was easy to pop open by anyone with a stick or nimble fingers. By the time we moved out, the box didn’t even lock anymore, it was literally just push to close pull to open. Quickly upon moving in we realized the apartment was complete crap, literally, paper-thin walls. You can hear EVERYTHING going on around the entire complex; children screeching at all hours of everyday, our downstairs neighbors screaming at each other about how he missed his dealer because of her, or when she would kick him out throwing his things and screaming how he’s a heroin addict, (really kid friendly area). Although they didn’t have to be yelling to hear them, we would hear our next-door neighbors every time they would speak, cough, sneeze, the phone would ring, the alarm would go off, the cookies are done, any TV or music that play, I cant emphasize enough that you hear EVERYTHING! The closet door, patio storage door, and the back door of our apartment were hung crooked which left a crack in-between the frame and the door, letting in all the cold winter air and even spontaneously blowing themselves open at times, which resulted in our heater never being able to heat the room, thus never turning off and a very large electric bill. We had to turn off the heat everywhere but in our room to avoid going broke.
I can say, that my living experience at Arterra is very interesting.. reason being- I have never lived in an apt before. The staff is amazing, very friendly, welcoming and they are also very family orientated. Overall I can't complain. I believe apt living is what you make of it! You can't control the surroundings/neighbors, but you can definitely control your surroundings. I do by just being friendly to everyone, meaning "smile and mind your own business!!"
