I recently moved out of this apartment and unfortunately, I am not happy with my experience. Despite leaving the apartment in excellent condition, they still overcharged me for minor wall scratches. The management has a reputation for overcharging, and I suggest reading other reviews before considering moving in. The area is not safe after dark, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving the apartment at night. Also, the smell of cigar smoke and weed from neighboring apartments was unbearable and seeped into my apartment. Overall, I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a safe and peaceful living environment. Keep on searching for other options to avoid being overcharged and living in an unsafe and uncomfortable environment.

I signed a six-month lease and upon moveout, Artesia sent me a ledger for repainting the unit ($300) and installing an entirely new carpet ($200). The carpet was beyond its useful life upon my move in (it was pulling everywhere) and I've never been charged for repainting a unit in the past, particularly one that was lived in for under a year. It seems like they're taking advantage of tenants to make repairs to their already old units. Sharing this since I would've liked to know about this before I chose Artesia.

Prices too high when trying to go from smaller to larger apartment. They asked for an additional $800 a month to go from 2 bed to 3 bed. Constant maintenance issues. Will not be renewing lease.

Management staff consistently provides exemplary customer service and attention to detail. Each time I visit the office is truly a treat as I am always greeted with a friendly welcome and smiles all around. I have lived at Artesia for awhile and I can confidently say that it is by far the best multifamily living experience I have ever had. The management staff appear organized, knowledgeable, and experts in their field. A notable example is the new maintenance supervisor. He is friendly, wise, and a true asset to the community. It is impossible not to notice the cleanliness and high quality of the facilities since he started. He always addresses my maintenance questions and although I have never put in a maintenance request, I am certain he would respond quickly and effectively. He also hosted a really fun origami night! What a talented individual! Thank you Thrive and Artesia staff for providing an exceptional living experience not only to me, but the community at large.

They respond quickly to all maintenance requests, too bad all the repairs are just stop-gets, so it's broken within a week. I've stopped reporting the problems. Office has no mediation ability, it just changed ownership last month, but I complained to the previous management and the current management about loud neighbors (thumping on the ceiling loud enough to shake pictures on walls and items on shelves, from 7 am to 11pm everyday), constant bass thumping through the ceiling in both the living room and one of the bedrooms, all day. After 4 complaints and a complaint to the "security" they contract with, nothing has changed. The office won't even talk to me to say tell me that they've contacted them, or even to say they won't act on it. 2 months into my lease and already can't wait to get out of here.

We moved here because our friends previously lived there and we fell in love with it so we figured we'd move in when our previous lease was up. Long story short we don't regret the decision at all and couldn't be happier calling this place home.

They do all repairs in a timely fashion. The big thing that happened...my ex-husband moved from the west coast to the east coast...unfortunately his checking account didn't move as fast...they let me pay what I could and stopped charging late fees when I told them what happened...made life so much better. I will be forever greatful.

Artesia has a great location right across from Silver Lake. It is located near several convenient stores that are within walking distance. The staff is very nice and they treat you like you have been friends forever. I love my apartment because it has vaulted ceilings giving me the feeling of more space. It is very convenient having the washer and dryer in my apartment. Some other apartments I had looked at did not have the washer and dryer in the apartment. They just had a community room where everyone had to share the washer and dryer. Animals are allowed and there is even a dog park just for residents. Though, it is very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend Artesia.

I like living in this apartment complex. I feel safe and comfortable. I also like the area of town where the apartments are located and the convenience of shopping, parks, and transit. The managers of the complex are nice and try to accommodate our complaints and concerns. The owners of the property do keep up with maintenance. But do they go above and beyond? No. They maintain. Do I feel I am getting more for what I am paying in rent and fees? No. Do I wish they would work with me more on the increase of my rent every year when my lease is up? Yes, absolutely. Therefore, even though I like my apartment, I will most likely have to move out next year at my lease's end.
