Property Ratings at Artisan at Downtown Chandler
What I realize is a home is something you make yourself. No place is perfect. I absolutely adore my apartment. Yes there’s room for improvement. But overall the pool, fitness room, laundry room and basketball/playground area is clean. I love the coziness I have. This is our first home together and what a beautiful place to start. When they address the small things that needs attention Artisan will be the ideal place to live . Close to the freeway stores and the new improve downtown Chandler.
I have lived here since February 2022. From the beginning this place has been terrible. First off let me start by saying they are one of the most affordable apartments around and they do accept all breeds, but you get what you pay for. The day my boyfriend and I were supposed to move in the apartment was dirty, smelled like cigarettes and Marijuana, and there were dead bugs and this was after they said we couldn't move in until the evening so it could be cleaned. Finally by 4pm on our move in date we were able to move in. There was a pest problem in all the apartments in our building and the ones around us for about 8 months before they finally did a proper extermination. They would come and spray ever 2 weeks but that did nothing. In 2023 there started to be issues with food being left on the ground all around the complex as well as bones. This was hard to avoid when we walked our dog and he would find them. I let the office know many times and still in 2024 this issue has not been solved. Management has changed 3-4 times in 2 years and nobody seems to bother to do anything about this issue. There is also an issue of people not keeping their dogs on a leash. Back in 2023 I was walking my dog and a guy had his door open and as we walked by his 3 dogs ran out towards me and my dog and started snapping at my dog. I quickly picked him up so they couldn't reach him and one of his dog bit me in the process. After letting the office know, nothing was done because a couple weeks later the same thing happened. Again I went to the office and the said there was nothing they could do. Trying to avoid all the areas with food and buildings where owners don't have their dogs on a leash really limits the places you can actually walk your dog. And yes they do have a dog park, but it usually smells very bad. A plus is that they do have plenty of dog poop stations with bags. Also none of the lights in my kitchen work except for the oven hood light and I dont have a bathroom sink stopper. The heater part of my a/c units do not work and it just starts smoking and sets off the smoke detector. I had these maintenance issues back in 2022 and had maintenance come out 4 different times to fix them and they said it was a wiring issue and never come back out so I gave up. They also went to order a new sink stopper and never come back with one. Maintenance has also changed a few time in the last 2 years.
Signs of insect infestation. Overflowing trash, Fitness center unavailable, window and doors not weather tight, recreation room never open “under repair”, all units needs repairs, place as a whole needs renovations. Give the impression renovation will be happening. Suspect area at the corner and no security gates. Laundry facilities have 1/4 of machines not working. High rent for no Amenities that is stated the lease they are currently breaking. Very tiered place. they need help there!!
I have been inquiring at different apartment communities in the area for a possible relocation, Jackie was so helpful, and the property looked superb!! I can't wait until I can rent from her. She really made me feel welcome Thank You Jackie
There is a terrible roach infestation here. I’ve had them come “treat and spray” my unit 3 times now, I still have roaches & have gone through countless bottles of roach spray. I applied under the impression that I would receive an renovated unit, but was given an old unit after signing my lease. Only move here if you are super desperate or low on funds.
This place is a joke. The concrete steps are crumbling all over the place. It's literarily falling apart. The dumpsters are often overflowing. My car has been egged and broken into. They put these covers on the AC units that made them barely work in the summer, and your APS bill ends up skyrocketing. It costs as much to cool this shoebox as it would to cool a place twice this size with a decent AC. The floors creak badly and the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor's thoughts. There are always sketchy people digging through the dumpsters. Seriously, not worth the money.
This was my first apartment I had ever rented and it was a terrible experience. The studio apartments are tiny and very low quality with very thin walls. This is not a safe area to live in; there are problems with drugs and break-ins in the surrounding areas. It seems like you can never get any privacy because the neighbors are always outside staring at you. The property management is okay at first but they only seem to pay attention to the elderly residents. When you go into the office they are not very friendly unless you already know them. There was a domestic violence issue that caused me to need to terminate my lease early and they tried to make me pay the thousands of dollars to break my lease; there is an Arizona state law that says terminating a lease is allowable without any penalties in the incident of domestic abuse. I would NOT recommend moving in here even if you are on a tight budget.
The One Bedroom Rent is actually $600.00 or More and are very very small! Read your contract Carefully they are adding $26.56 more for garbage, which was never the case! People drink and party during the week esp. on weekends. Security are just min. pay regular people that don't want any drama, they just want to work their hrs and go home. This well be my last lease here. Laundry is new but once the card goes bad you pay $20.00 even if its wear and tear, your on your own. Next door low income residence make their way onto property to do their laundry and take over the pool (again security want no drama). A Child was attacked around here and Pedophile is on the loose, it made the News back in Oct.2015!!
This is not a perfect building but I am manageable to afford to pay my rent ;it a small apartment with one bedroom an bathroom ,living room kitchen ,Around the complex they have a pool a gym basketball court I been living here 7 years now .
I have been living at "Crosswinds Apts" for about 4 or 5 years. Recently a new management took the property over & have made some much needed upgrades. New gravel on the covered parking, so no more big pothole. The security patrol hours have increased, for our safety. A whole new laundry room, with all new washers, dryers & a flat screen TV. The fitness center has all new equipment, The office has free DVD's to check out for their residents. If you sign a lease, your monthly rent will decrease a lot. I have checked all the surrounding apartments and their monthly rent, is equal to a house payment.
CROSSWINDS APTS IS ON PECOS RD & ARIZONA AVE, IN CHANDLER. MANAGEMENT RECENTLY MADE SOME AWESOME UPGRADES, such as all new washers & dryers with a flat screen TV. They also put some sidewalk around the outside of the apt. complex. They also increased the security patrol hours. They also put all new patio furniture around the pool & upgraded all the exercise equip. In the fitness center. I have been a resident for 4 or 5 yrs.
