A seaside city along the Pacific, Huntington Beach is known for its miles of white-sand beaches and fabulous California climate. Nicknamed “Surf City,” people from all over the world come to catch waves and hang ten on its pristine beach. The U.S. Open of Surfing competition is held in Huntington Beach during the summer.
And speaking of beach – the pier is a favorite sport for people to enjoy the ocean views and grab a quick bite at Ruby’s Diner. There’s a section of the beach just for pups and their humans, where pup-parents can bring their dogs to play. Residents are comforted by the area’s great public and private schools as well as Golden West College.
By the shore, you’ll find many fun souvenir shops and two neighborhood malls. 5th & PCH as well as Pacific City overlook the beach, and encompass high-end shops, local pubs, and fine dining experiences. Huntington Beach houses many public parks and green spaces close to luxury apartments.

Property Ratings at The Artisan Residences at Bella Terra
Do not move here as the ownership does not care about your well-being at all. Our mailboxes have been broken into multiple times in the past several months, cars are quite literally stolen out of our "safe" parking spots and broken into constantly. Not only does ownership ignore our requests, they have zero cameras or security anywhere. There is clearly an inside job happening or it's just so obvious to people on the outside that they can constantly come back and break open our mailboxes and steal from us and break car windows because nothing will be done. It has happened 3 times in the past two weeks and management has said and done nothing. Do not move here if you want to have a safe environment for you and your family.
It smells like dog pee everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. Neighbors let their dogs out solely to pee on our walls. Management has yet to address the issue. Next to no parking. Overpriced laundry. Everything breaking within my first week here.
I moved into this place in September of this year. The Jacuzzi hasn't worked a single day. I have been told it works great fixes by the end of this year. Staff now tells me "sometime next year". Per long term residents it hasn't worked in years, since covid. Staff failed to disclose the breakdown of their amenities during my tour. They also claim that it is not part of my rent, therefore i can not get a reduction of my rent for non working amenities. Next: each unit comes with one "free" parking spot. Additional parking is $75/month. I rent a townhouse which has a garage. It is a significant amount of money more than an apartment and I'm paying for that garage. They want me to pay $75 for a second car. Staff claims that this is my "free parking". If you rent a townhouse be prepared to not have a "free" parking spot and pay double for parking. Unfortunately, getting out of this lease will cost at least $6000. So, I'm stuck until September 2023. I will not renew my lease and I will warn anyone about the ridiculous costs of this place. I thought it works help my family save money being closer and in walking distance, but this is a money pit.
Don’t move here! They towed our car from a space we rent and didn’t even apologize! They tried to blame us then another tenant! Terrible customer service! I had to take off work to get my car back and manager argued with me that it wasn’t the apartments fault. No accountability at all! Constant notes about patio decor, not allowed to have anything on patio, not even a plant! What is the point then? This place is the worst! Over priced and under delivered. Always maintenance issues! Just terrible here! I’d give negative stars if I could!
This Apts facility complains for the most petty things. You can't hang a patriotic flags, you can't park your car too close to apt to unload. I been complaining about the roaches, hardly do anything about it. Everything falling apart in home. Worse place to rent.
Management isn't organized or qualified to do their job. Emails and calls take days to respond to. If you don't have to ever deal with management, you will enjoy living here. We have a dog, and pay monthly dog rent ($75), but the dog trash bags have been empty for 3 weeks. There is now poop everywhere. This is not the first time it's happened, either. That's unacceptable, especially given how much we are paying.
They just nice when u guys signing contract .. after that they dont care no more.. no parking around.. no street parking.. no guess parking...i still living in this apartment but end contract in November... that suck when ur friend or ur family want to visit hang out with u and they have to waiting when office close at 7pm, at that time only have like 5 spot open.. and residen they take all spot already.. how we can live in this apartment.. trust me.. Dont Move on... Really bad
3 out of the 4 reviews here are one star (the 5 star is also very biased) and the results still shows a 5 star community. that should say all that there is about this place. I agree with the other comment about the management. They only goal is to get you to sign the lease and after that everything is downhill with them. I have to mention that the noise is terrible. they never mentioned the railroad right next to the property. My apartment was supposed to be a "renovated" one. Well there is not a single window in my whole apartment that closes completely and some even are missing screens. The stench of trash from the trashcans around the unit makes this worse. I can see all the holes the previous tenant had made on the walls. The "new" cabinets have cracks all over them. The paint is so cheep its already peeling all over the apartment and many more issues such as no guests parking(apparently they consider future residents as guests, since with this management no new resident is expected to stay here for long!) . The worse part is the management was fully aware of all of these issues and despite their promises they have not done anything to fix them yet. Oh and the office is constantly sending the other apartments mail to my door. I keep getting notices with other peoples names inside. In short if they had a better and more professional management this would be a good complex. with the current one it is not even livable.
I will start out by saving I've lived here for 2 years. You might say how bad is it if you lived there that long. Far question. The answer is that the management staff is getting worse and worse. They focus on getting new renters and not the existing renters which is why I am leaving next month. The property gates and garage gates constantly don't work, homeless people and teenagers from the high school and nearby college hop the fence to use the pool at all hours, trash piles up everywhere, and when something goes wrong in the apartment it is like pulling teeth to get fixed. Sad because the place has so much potential.
My wife and I have lived at the Artisan over 13 years. A new owner and management company took over in December, 2015. They have made many improvements and have greatly upgraded this apartment complex. Looking good both inside and outside. Buildings newly painted. Place has a more modern look. Many new palm trees. Other new trees. And flowers. Nice landscaping is ongoing. We recently got a new air conditioning system and a new ceiling fan. Hallways are looking good. Fitness center also. The new owner is really GETTING THINGS DONE RIGHT! Last summer there was a noise problem, for at least some people, because of many workers making many improvements. Anyway, that noise is long gone. Not even an echo remains. And neighbors are quiet. Also, there are dogs in complex, but you hardly ever hear them. Also factor in the great location. Quick freeway access. Close to Bella Terra. Near Old World Village. And a nearby community college. Short drive to South Coast Plaza. Don't forget the beach. And, if you live in Huntington Beach, you can get an inexpensive yearly parking pass for city beaches. In apartment living, no place is perfect for everybody, and there will always be a few unhappy ones (who tend to complain, often about trivial things). Every place has a few of those, but most people at The Artisan are happy and most whine not. The community manager, Robin, as well as her staff, Jennifer, Lainey, and Ryan, are all super good and super nice. A 96 percent occupancy rate probably says more than I or any other "reviewer" can. The Artisan speaks well for itself. In short, a very nice place. And a good value for your money. Jay L
The end of construction is no where in site. Caterpillar trucks and bulldozers still roam the grounds. No grass place is half painted. Been going on since January and no sign of completion. New owners cut down 800 trees and nothing but dirt storms and filth. Place half painted they go door to door to say you can't hang a plant on your patio-if you look around it is the only form of vegetation is a hanging plant. You have within 30 days after you sign the lease to move You are not breaking the lease. PM doesn't mention it
