I have been living here for over 3 years and my experience has been nothing short of outstanding. Outstanding in management, customer service, concierge and maintenance personnel. When there are issues that need to be tended to, they are handled with swiftness - you are not lingering waiting for someone to come.
Using the schedule a tour option on their website, I requested a day and time for a virtual tour. Immediately I received a confirmation for the virtual tour and a link to join. Day of the tour, I use the link and type the provided password, 20 minutes passed of the 30 minute tour and no one from the apartment complex joined the link. After 7 minutes I called both the number provided in the email and the number on google after 2 rings a generic message announced the party I was trying to reach was unavailable. I understand that things pop up last minute, but to not send any response to reschedule or apologize for a mixup really shows the kind of customer service they provide.

Apparently if you book a tour online there is an unwritten expectation that YOU have to call THEM to confirm your own tour? And if you show up, you'll get rudely turned away. What a great management practice. STAY AWAY.
Don't be seduced by the views, the building management is very unprofessional. Their problems will become your problems, save yourself a headache and find a place that actually treats their residents with respect.

301M is a great building in a great location. The apartments and lobby area is updated. Everyone in the leasing office and the front desk employees are super nice. I feel very safe here and love the few minute walk to the Wharf, Navy Yard, and living next to a Safeway/metro station is so convenient.
Been here for over a month now. The apartment was spotless during move in, and everything is in fantastic condition. Small things have broken here and there, but the mx team is quick and professional. The soundproofing is great, because I can't hear my neighbors at all. Metro stop is only 100 yards away, which is super convenient. My only wish is that the cabinets were not so high up
I have been a faithful Bernstein Company renter for 3 years, I moved into 301 M and can't wait for my lease to be up. For the pros of the building the location is great, but that's about it. I moved into the building in March and once here I noticed that the apartment had some critical issues, hard wood floors were advertised, but I noticed after moving in it is vinyl tile and it was poorly installed. It had started to lift and bubble. This building has also gone through a couple of management companies, and property managers. The current manager is pleasant enough but not very attentive or responsive. I have emailed a few times about a few issues the main one was a physical altercation between 2 tenants which resulted in one stabbing the other. It has been a month and both tenants are still in the building. This makes it uncomfortable of you run into either of them or both of them while in the lobby or roof. And when asked in person the property manager said she had no idea about the situation. During this global pandemic, a lot of the amenities we pay for in this "luxury" building are not available due to social distancing. But we have one that has remained open and that is the roof top, but it has been neglected. Almost 2/3 of the roof has plant beds and they are over grown and not pleasing to look at. We also had patio furniture and one day management decided to take half of the seating away and give it to another building. When management was asked about both through email and in person, no response was given via email and in person I was told that they took it away due to COVID. I asked why now it is almost October, why wouldn't you take it away at the beginning of the pandemic? Then I was told that it was broken. I said that wasn't true it was just relocated to 1001. I also asked if they were going to replace it, and was told no. So I paid a $500 amenity fee and all of the amenities are useless. Security. This building is supposed to have security, but on several occasions security has been lacking. We have a gate that is on 3rd st that has been broken for months. We have fobbed entry and not all the doors will lock behind you. Some kids a few months ago gained access to the building, went behind the security desk and stole fobs that accessed the building. Packages go missing, we have a cleaning team and the cleaning is sub par, I could honestly go on and on. Do yourself a favor, move anywhere else but here.

I moved in a week ago and I love everything about this place, it's so posh and modern and in a perfect location steps away from the metro, grocery store, and restaurants. The staff is amazing here! They have been friendly and very responsive. Tynelle is excellent she goes above and beyond. She made sure my move was a breeze and continues to be my go-to contact as I get settled in. 301 M has great spacious floor plans and amazingly professional and friendly staff. I love it here!
