Property Ratings at Asbury Park Apartments
If I could give zero stars I would! These apartments are roach and mosquito infested. When I brought this to the managers attention her excuse was this is Florida and suggested me going to Lowe’s and buy pest control chemicals to place in my garage so that the issue could possibly get better. Even though this isn’t my house I went out and bought it but it didn’t help. I requested to get let out of my lease due to roach and mosquito infestation and she said no. I requested to talk to corporate but she said they would tell me the same thing and refused to give me their phone number. I then proceeded to ask her how much would I have to pay if I moved out and turned in my keys. She responded saying it would be $600 so I moved out, hired cleaners to clean the apt. A few months later I get a bill for $4,215. Needless to say it came as a shock because I was expecting a $600 balance notice. When I called the property the manager told me she doesn’t get involved with previous accounts that I can settle with the collection agency. I have called them a bunch of times and they refuse to settle for the amount that I should owe and said I needed to speak with the property manager. When I called her again she said they were wrong and call the collection agency back. This place is horrible! Please do not move here most Apts have mosquito killing zappers at their front door. I have lived in Florida for 15 years and never experienced such disgusting living situation and non helping manager. She is the worst and corporate is non existent.
Property is over 20 years old and is getting pretty run down. On site management is not tenant friendly. Landscaping is shabby. Sprinklers broken and malfunctioning. Back gate broken and stuck open for weeks leading to potential crime. This place needs a lot of work, but is owned by out of state corporation that just takes money out and puts nothing back. Bad mold issues inside and out. Low lying areas breed mosquitos.
One of the best place that you can live in. Everything in this community is amazing such as maintenance, lease office and neighbors. I am leaving and my heart is broken. If you have kids or pet, this place is yours. I really wish and pray that my next neighborhood have similar services but I think this is an impossible dream
Basically my husband and I enjoy living here. There have been some problems with cars being broken into, one even stolen. We do have great neighbors and the location is great. However if you are looking for a new home that offers you access to a spa, keep looking. Asbury Park's closed in March-understandable. But when other spas opened up for use, Asbury Park's stay closed. But why? Who is making that decision here? In talking to management we are beginning to feel that they have NO interest in reopening it. Just so you know.
I have had my car broken into twice and management said nothing. This is a "gated" community but it is flanked by 3 different run down areas that have a lot of crime ... Very transient community - no one stays more than a few months - probably because of the crime
I have lived at Asbury Park for the last ten years and would highly recommend it to anyone. I would continue to live here if I was not moving to South Florida. The staff has always been extremely responsive, courteous, accommodating and professional. Things that needed to be fixed, repaired or replaced were always done promptly. When my air conditioner could not be repaired by the staff they immediately called a professional who determined that the unit needed to be replaced. The staff called an apologized profusely when I would be without AC for an extra day. The neighborhood is quiet and close to shopping. I have had nothing but excellent interactions with staff and neighbors. I would recommend Asbury Park to anyone.
Our apartment is spacious and roomy with plenty of closet space and updated appliances. The location is ideal with many restaurants and stores a short, quiet walking distance away. What really makes our apartment complex stand out is the atmosphere. The grounds are well kept and inviting with lots of mature trees. The staff, from the on-site manager to the maintenance people, is very professional, helpful and friendly. They treat us more like family than clients. All of this makes us feel like we are "Home".
