Property Ratings at Ascent 1829
When Rincon took over they refused to renew leases and evicted us for “renovation purposes” 30 days isn’t long enough to save up for move ins in Phx and I was homeless for months!

We're sorry to hear about your experience. Our intention at Ascent 1829 is to always provide our residents with the utmost care and understanding. We understand the impact of such changes and we're committed to making the transition as smooth as possible for our residents.
Would be 5 stars if not for the plumbing- you can count on no water at all or no hot water once a month like clockwork. Otherwise love the apt and area. Maybe when they finish renovating the water issues will subside.

Incompetence at its best. I would give 0 stars if I could. The maintenance staff are really friendly and I like them the area is very beautiful so close to hiking biking and more it is the office staff so incompetent my AC broke in the middle of summer and I got sick waiting two days for the office to approve the work order. They up charge her rent about $120 a month to pay for all the electricity water gas etc. that is used throughout the community and common areas and the office. I am in a one bedroom one bath 550 ft.² apartment and my Electric is $160 a month during the summer. You can see gaps in the front door where sunlight shines through, the windows are now sealed, during a window day they rattle, the blinds move because the wind is coming right in. I’ve tried talking to the manager for 9 months, she has never responded, neither has corporate. I’d rather live in my car

Beautiful part of Phoenix, however complex is overpriced and staff is incompetent. The complex is currently under renovation with limited access to amenities.

Hi, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We regret that you had a negative experience, and will use this as an opportunity to improve.
I had a very nice experience regarding move-in along with interactions with Amilah and Mia. Both where very professional in helping transfer my rental assistance to my new home at Ascent 1829. I understand the importance of providing world class rental experiences for prospective and current residents in todays business world and appreciate the excellent service. Thank you

Moved here before Greystar took over, prior management company was amazing. This one leaves more to be desired. Management promises one thing and never delivers, constant water shutoffs, trash all over the place because they won't get more dumpsters, the company that manages the laundry rooms doesn't upkeep them and management refused to get another servicer, and overall the quality of service has significantly gone down. This isn't my first time living in a Greystar community, however compared to the management staff at the last Greystar community I was in this manager needs to be replaced. I have nothing but good things to say about the maintenance team though, they do well with what they have and are always courteous and professional.

This place is quiet for the most part and they're constantly renovating. They've been working on the front office for almost a year, and it doesn't seem close to be finishing (which is probably why they've increased the rent here so much to pay the contractors to take their time). The management used to be decent until it became owned by Greystar, and there's always water issues (last minute shutdowns for a couple of hours), and more renovations (surprise). Maintenance is pretty quick to respond, which is the best part of this complex. Management doesn't respond to e-mails and expects you to always contact them even when it's their mistake. We were informed that since our apartment isn't renovated, we have to move out for them to do a "mandatory" renovation on our apartment even though we always paid our rent on time and have been very quiet and respectful of our apartment and neighbors. If you have complaints, good luck trying to reach management because they're always so hard to get in touch with.

I would not recommend Ascent 1829 as a safe or nice place to live. Office staff is non-responsive. Units are loud and outdated, laundry room is dirty and the machines do not consistently accept payment. Common areas are run down and dirty. Neighbors are loud and disrespectful and the management company does not do anything to improve the conditions. Several residents have had issues either being over charged for rent or not being able to pay rent because they can not get ahold of the office. Don't let the location fool you. Keep your peace of mind and find a nicer place to live.

Love Ascent 1829! The location is great and neighbors are friendly. The apartment is perfect for me too. Mistakes were made on my lease and on move in, I was handed a key without much else information, but management has been very responsive and helpful to the issues and questions.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Ascent 1829!
This place and staff suck. If you move here be prepared to be ignored, to have your unit fall apart, and to pay extremely high electric bills because these units are not energy efficient

Choking on smoke in a bed bug paradise. This place does literally zero to keep chain smoker from smoking right outside your porch or in community areas such as the pool. Horrible. Oh ya and the bed bugs are a nightmare.

Moved across county into Cabana at the Pointe, my journey was hectic and exhausting. Was SO grateful the management were EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating. Sevastian kept in touch through out my trip and was quick and knowledgeable in his responses. Jasmine was in the office the day I moved in and was also incredibly helpful. My cell phone broke and my movers were 3 hours late, the staff was very helpful allowing me to use their computer phone and printer to resolve my issues. She even made sure I stayed hydrated through everything. The complex itself is nice and tucked away, but not out of the way. Very clean, great dog area with a park right across the street. Great interstate access without the noise. Residents have all been very friendly so far, and the place is quiet. Units are nice and new, have only had one issue and it was resolved day of by maintenance. Had to choose a place sight unseen, and couldn't have found a better complex if I was in town for tours.
I lived here for 2 years and loved it!! The area is absolutely perfect. The park across the street and surrounding neighborhood is safe and great for walking your dog/jogging/being outdoors. Location is right next to hiking at Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Up and down 16th Street and 7th Street are great restaurants and bars only a few minutes away. It is right next to the 51 so easy to get around town, but you would never guess it is next to a freeway from the inside. My commute downtown to work on 7th Street is quick, too. We moved here for location and price. My roommate and I were looking for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom and we could not find the same quality in our price range anywhere else. The grounds and pool are extremely well kept and a great place to relax. Whenever we had any issues maintenance was there to fix it same day. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Cabana to anyone looking for a place to rent in Phoenix!!
I have lived at Cabana for 2 years now and I loved every minute of it. The leasing staff, Sebastian, has been a great help and is very friendly. The property is kept in great condition and the maintenance team is always friendly and helpful! I have had no issues since living here and would recommend this affordable place to anyone! The laundry, pool, gym, and pet facilities are always in great condition and the people who live here are very friendly! Seriously, if you are looking for a great place in a fantastic area that is affordable this is your place!
My fiancé and I have lived here for 6 months and we have nothing but good things to say about staff, our neighbors, the property and neighborhood. The management is awesome and have made us feel welcomed and we’re happy to call Cabana our home.
I can easily say this is my favorite apartment I’ve had the pleasure of living in!! Sevastian in the front office has been endlessly helpful to me since the day I came in just to take a look. He’s always super quick to respond when I have questions and is such a pleasant person to be around. All of my surrounding neighbors are polite and pleasant, clean property, and tons of cute dogs live here which is a great added bonus lol. There is literally no outside noise that travels in, the complex kind of feels like it’s own private neighborhood. Quiet & quaint!
I loved this place so much. The location right next to the freeway. Only a few min from downtown. Convenient grocery stores within reach. Gyms right down the road. Mountain as a neighbor.THE MANAGEMENT was AMAZING. They did what they could to make you feel comfortable and access your needs. They handle situations very professionally and friendly. Perfect mix. Very helpful. My neighbors were great! I miss this place already. Quite possible I move back to this area or even these apartments.
Cabana at the Pointe rocks! The management cares and goes above and beyond to make residents happy. The location is great - you can hike the mountains from your doorstep and walk by million-dollar homes while living in a very affordable place. It's a safe environment for singles and families . I spent close to four years there and relocated to Colorado for a job. I miss the Cabana touch and would highly recommend this apartment community for anyone looking!
PROS: -responsive and friendly service from the office staff and maintenance crew -well maintained grounds in a safe, quiet, kid friendly neighborhood -excellent laundry rooms, all card operated (no coins), and the one I use has 8 washers and 8 dryers (I never have to wait to do laundry) -close to the AZ-51 CONS: -nothing to pick on, and i like talking trash about places when I can The interior of the bare apartment itself isn’t flashy (I’m higher on the external aesthetics), but the overall value of the apartment, it’s service, and surrounding area exceeds how much you pay for it. This is a good deal. Can’t say I’m excited about leaving this space.
Cabana at the pointe , is an overall great place too live , the people that live here are so sweet and kind the management is always there for you whenever you need anything , very positive , peaceful and a great place to stay if you have children they have a park right across the street , there’s a big pool and everything .. you won’t regret living here , only been here a few months and I love it ??
I recently moved to Cabana at the Pointe and it feels like I completely lucked out. On my first real day searching for apartments I ran across several I liked and sent them all messages to set up a walkthrough. Cabana at the Pointe’s staff got back to me extremely fast, they were very professional and incredibly nice. I felt comfortable and welcome from the start. The apartment complex has a great vibe to it. While my studio isn’t the biggest or most recently renovated, it is nice and you absolutely CANNOT beat the price for this area. Every day here feels like vacation and I absolutely recommend Cabana at the Pointe and if you are hesitant, I’d say just go for it. I’m glad I did.
My son recently moved to Cabana at the Pointe from Indiana. It was a stressful and scary move, as we knew nothing about Arizona or what neighborhoods were safe. As the mom of a 20 year old who was taking off for this adventure, it was very nerve wracking. Sevastian was our contact point at Cabana. We spent day after day on the phone for 2 1/2 weeks getting everything done and dotting our “i(s)” and crossing our “t(s).” Sevastian took so much time out of his day to reassure me and to provide me with necessary information. We literally felt like long lost friends by the end of the process! This was the smoothest transition possible especially given our circumstances. Sevastian could not have been more helpful and kind. The community my son now calls home is chalked full of incredible amenities and is base for Squaw Peak Mountain. His service dog was readily accepted here. I truly cannot say enough about how positive all of this has been and continues to me. You cannot go wrong with these apartments. They make it so easy to fall in love with the place and the process. Christine C
This had been the best experience for me from the time of application to my move in the management staff have been very helpful especially Sevastian, he has been exceptionally helpful but not just providing a service, but exceeding my expectations his posititve attitude and professional manner when assiting me really assured me that Cabana at The Pointe will be a great community to call home.
relocate from tx not knowing what to expect, so far I've being very impressed with management and the apartment in general. it in a nice area and am within close proximity to downtown Phoenix,Scottsdale etc . nice place to live overall.
Do yourself a favor and do not rent from the place , you will be nickeled and dimed TO DEATH , the quality of this place is trash , the building is from the 60’s and has multiple issues that property management and employment staff refuse to acknowledge or test for , including old water mains/pipes ( they get turned off many times per month as they are always fixing ), mold/mildew , A/C units go out multiple times during the summer, landscaping staff blows leaves and debris onto your patio instead of the street ( every Monday and Thursday at 6am no less ) so the complex can turnaround and charge 50$ fine , no washer/dryer in apartment

Dear Resident, we are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at Ascent 1829. We would like you to know that we are now under new ownership/management and invite you to come back to see our newly renovated apartment homes.
We've lived here for nearly 2 years. The first year was manageable and we renewed our lease to spare the hassle of moving despite not particularly liking the property. As far as the good goes, it's painted pretty colors, and the grounds and pool are generally clean. Maintenance makes repairs in a timely manner most of the time (even though some of our requests, like to fix our towel rack that spontaneously fell out of the wall, were not). And yes, things spontaneously break. And the bad: the place is populated with really sketchy people and they have a problem with crime. Both of our cars were broken into on more than one occasion (in the past year) and the complex had a problem with a peeping Tom for an unacceptable length of time. Management assures you that there is a "courtesy officer" around daily, but I have not seen them around our area of the property. I do not feel safe walking around the complex after dark due to these incidents. Our apartment very likely has a mold problem, which is evident by the moldy smell that crops up no matter how much we clean, and black mildew has to be scrubbed out of our bathroom with bleach on a weekly basis. Management assures us we do not have mold, but have not tested it. The office staff is often gone at strange hours and need a retraining course in customer service.

At the start of the year I had to move across country to Arizona from Cincinnati, OH for a job. Never had been to Arizona and had no idea what to expect. I am so happy I came across Cabana at the Pointe. Living there was a great decision. The complex is quite, very well kept and the staff is AMAZING. They are very understanding and helpful and made it a very easy transition for me moving to AZ. Highly recommended, they will not disappoint.
I relocated to Arizona 3 months ago from Florida. I was not familiar with the area, but I am happy I chose to live here. Eury was great! She made the move for me very easy. The grounds are very well kept and always clean! I love the heated pool. The maintenance guy is great!
I just recently moved here, and so far it's been a great experience. I should mention I am a little bit of a OCD clean freak. The property is kept clean and well groomed. My unit was super clean when I moved in. It's the first time I didn't feel the need to clean a place before moving in. The pool area like the rest of the property is very clean and its a heated pool! Then there is the location which can't be beat, I am only a 30 second bike ride from a trail entrance. This is a life changer if you are a mountain biker or hiker. Lastly I want to say special thanks to Sarah in the front office. This was by far the best move in experience I have had from the start.
