During the 4 years I lived there (I moved out 8/31/24) there were 3 different management companies, each getting progressively worse. They paint over mold and water damage instead of removing the damage. Do NOT move here. Rent keeps increasing even though the amenities are closed more than they're open. Be care of the "add-ons" because they add up very quickly. Trash piles up quite often outside the 1 dumpster they have for the entire complex because the trash compactor is usually broken.

It’s inexpensive to live here but there is a reason why. We dealt with cockroaches constantly even after they came and sprayed. The appliances barely worked and were ancient even though they promised “newer appliances” before we moved in. When I asked about it I was told whoever I spoke to on the phone doesn’t normally deal with leasing. Then why does she answer the phone?? Also they switched management and thought it was going to be what the place needed but instead when I moved out it took two months of constant calling and emailing back and forth before I ever saw our deposit. This place is terrible. Don’t let the new name fool you
I have been here for almost 3 years now. I don't have to worry about yard work. There is maintenance here always. I have never had an issue with anything. My neighbors are great. Management is also great to deal with too.

I have been here for 2 months and so far I have no complaints! The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful! There were a few things that needed to be fixed when I moved in, and Matt in maintenance has been absolutely wonderful about taking care of them! His work is really good too! Its nice to have a trustworthy person to fix things when i need them!

I realize that the leasing department in most communities is not usually judged in a positive light, but I have lived in many communities and put up with many unpleasant staff, and some very kind, helpful staff. One of them was here, a leasing Agent named Lisa who no longer works here. What we are left with now is by far the most unpleasant group of management staff I have ever had the displeasure to interact with. Re-signing my lease for another year was a very convoluted, difficult process. There seems to be a lack of communication within the office, because every time I called to see if all the signatures were received, I had to explain the entire situation because they didn’t know what I was talking about. I even had to sign the same form twice because they lost the first one, and it was pulling teeth to get them to send the forms via email to it’s recipients. The process took almost 2 weeks. Recently I was charged a fine, and the fine couldn’t be paid conveniently like the rent (with a debit card, how most charges in the 1st world are processed). It had to be a money order or cashiers check, for $25. It completely blew my mind. The worst of it all, they sent the email about the fine to someone who was not on the lease, which was very inconsiderate and an invasion of my privacy. I feel that this was done, as well as the ongoing rude behavior, because of my personal information, which is so insulting and unprofessional. Despite these things, the apartment is quite lovely at a modest price, I love the new appliances and updated light fixtures and the vaulted ceiling.

Not only did the manager tour us herself but residents gave my wife and I great reviews! The landscaping was phenomenal and the location you just can’t beat it! Rudy was just as excited as we were about moving to Asheville and it made me feel at home. Can’t wait to get settled here in Asheville!

DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE. The gym was a dump before they fixed it up (pre covid.) The second pool was closed for years. The only functioning pool was gross and had to be shocked regularly. There is dog poop EVERYWHERE! My car was broken into here. Our AC broke too many times to count. We could hear the conversations of the people below us frequently. The office is NOT helpful. Not flexible and scatter brained. Communication with tenants went from being good when I first moved in to abysmal, costing myself and two other tenants I know who moved out in the last few months thousands of dollars. So happy to be moving out. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Worst management in Asheville and the worst management of any apartments I have ever lived in. Go to the Reserve at Asheville or Hawthorne at Southside. The maintenance guys were awesome though and so was Glenda so that's good at least.

I have lived here for about 4 mths. now. Tha staff (esp. Lisa) is always friendly, courteous to everyone as well as the maintenance staff, they answer your calls in a very timely manner. I truly enjoy living here, I feel at home.

We have lived in the meadows the last two years and are looking forward to spending another year here. The environment is great. Lots of trees, fields, and even a mini disc golf course. The people are friendly and the staff is great. The maintenance supervisor Brent goes above and beyond. Always friendly to the dogs and will stop to say hey and give them a treat. Very cool.

We have lived at The Meadows for 16 years. We have always felt that the staff here is excellent. The office staff is always very friendly and helpful with anything that we need. The maintenance crew, especially Blake, is very helpful and polite. They are always prompt with maintenance needs. The staff has events for most occasions that include families to make life a little more fun especially for children. If you are looking for a new apartment home we would suggest The Meadows. I have never lived in an apartment in my life but Asheville has gotten too overrun by stupid yuppies and made the cost of living increase drastically, so i have no choice. But any who! Felicia makes everything so worth it! She takes care of every single problem I ever come actually at this apartment quickly and she goes above and beyond because she genuinely cares about her tenants. If you have to live at an apartment I would suggest the meadows, but highly recommend Felecia. Repeat: if you go to the meadows GO TO FELECIA BECAUSE SHE IS AMAZING

Bell Apartments, The Meadows is overly expensive in monthly rent but cheap in every other way. The quality of the apartments is poor, the amenities are poor and lacking in any real substance. When I moved in the carpets were still dirty and had to be cleaned, the wood cabinets had been painted but were still sticky and blotchy as it was not yet dry and the paint job was poor. The faucets in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms leaked and it took them a week to get them prepared. The tub in the master wouldn't drain which was repaired Ina couple of days. The older apartment buildings are not kept up as well as the new section. The landscaping in the old section is a mess and the breezeways are filthy. When I asked them to clean the area up they acted as though it was a very low priority. All in all when I pay $1,300- per month in rent I expect s clean, safe environment and I have not received that. Last and most in important is that there are robberies in the community every month or so. Please use caution when looking into this community.

I have lived in several different apartment complexes up and down the East coast. The Meadows in Asheville has definitely been my favorite so far. Friendly staff and neighbors, quiet, great location, and great maintenance service. The only problem is parking, sometimes later in the evening you have to park further away than you expect.
