Property Ratings at Ascent Lake Worth
I would recommend caution before deciding to rent here, especially now that there has been an apparent change in management. Lately they do not respond to maintenance requests in a timely fashion, and then they become highly argumentative when this is pointed out to them. (Perhaps a bit less training and more follow up on promises to tenants!) It took me literally months to persuade them to intercede with a neighbor who decided to use my entryway as an ash tray (we are talking as many as 15-20 butts a day right outside my door. Between the near-constant jet noise and the trio of very loud A/C units right outside my bedroom window, listening to music is pretty much a lost cause. Since moving in here 18 months ago, I have given up going anywhere after 3 or 4 pm: there just are not enough parking places to go around. Sure, you can shell out an extra $40 a month to reserve one, but the rent is already very steep for the antiquated state of the units. Rosalinda (the previous manager) was something of a buffer on these issues, but the new folks seem determined to establish an antagonistic approach right from the get-go.
Disgusting and horrible staff. Imagine trying to find a place to live and be treated as if they didn't even want you there. Did a tour of a few open units and just driving through the parking lot I knew it was not a nice place. Loud music, overflowing dumpsters, trash bags outside of apartments, and cigarettes everywhere. Looks like they put some new paint up but it can't cover up the slummyness of the place not to mention they are very expensive for a 2 bedroom place.

We typically do not tour ?several open units? and instead will show our model, we have not noticed or received complaints about loud music, the vast majority of our apartment homes have interior entrances, so even if there was trash left outside of a community member?s door, you would not have been able to see it. We recently had a full renovation both inside and out. This included far more than just paint, and we pride ourselves on how clean and well kept our community is. This leads us to believe that you either have the wrong community or this may be about something else not mentioned in your review. Would be nice if they treated everyone the same but good luck with that. They send emails all the time about parking rules and how they will tow if you're not parking in the correct spots. Some residents are allowed to park in the visitor spots and nothing ever happens. There was even a broken down truck taking up a parking spot for over a year. I got in "trouble" for cigarette butts on my patio and a warning about drug use. Funny thing is I don't smoke cigarettes or weed but the people above me do and even though the building smells like weed all the time they have never been told to stop. Moving as soon as I can

The water is always shut off without warning or a 24 hour notice that is supposed to go out. Parking is awful, getting towed when in the correct parking spot. Management is the worst that they have ever been, they are extremely rude and inconsiderate to people paying to live here to call this place home. These are only a FEW of the problems we’ve had. I would not recommend Ascent Lake Worth to anyone.
Do not live here, they are the worst at making you feel at home. They do not fix anything that is wrong, they don't answer any phone calls or emails, and they fine you did ridiculous fees that don't make any sense. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!
These apartments are awful! We have lived here for two and half years and it was the worst mistake. (Just convenient) They have made our lives horrible staying here. We brought home our baby into this apartments, find out there is mold all in our windows, they did not fix that problem. We realize that our apartment has so many bugs, we have an extremely clean apartment and have had the bug guy come out every single Wednesday afternoon. They fine you for every little thing even when you do everything right and follow all their rules. They change all of their fines from what it says in your lease. Management will not help you nor will corporate. No one will respond to you about anything. They do not care about the people living on this property. Whenever our lease is up, we plan on moving out without looking back at this awful experience especially bringing our child into this. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!

The covered parking currently cost $50.00 a month, and if you want to park in front of your building, your going to pay $40.00 per month. There is limited, if any, "free" available parking for residents. You will drive around the community hoping for a spot to become available, otherwise, you will have to park blocks away. They are capitalizing on their already limited parking by strong arming tenants into leasing/renting a space in front of their building so that they are able to park their vehicles in the vicinity of their apartment. These leased/rented spaces are not covered or garages, just spaces in the front of the buildings. Also, even if your a tenant and you park in one of the reserved spaces, if it doesn't belong to you, you will be towed and the cost to collect your vehicle is $300.00. The Ascent has a contract with the towing company. They are not only collecting on the parking space fees 7(which should be offered at no cost) they collect a commission on the towing fees paid by you for the towing. I have never rented in a facility that did not offer parking, in front of your building, at no charge. Or a company that was so "cash hungry" that they leased/rented open spaces to tenants and not because of the convenience to them, but because of their greed. There should be ample parking for tenants, without having to rent/lease a space!

We offer reserved spaces to those who prefer their own spot and open (free) spaces to those who do not. We would never force anyone to get a reserved spot that they do not want. We have several community members that do prefer to pay for a spot for the convenience factor and we have community members that opt out and park in the first available open spot. We do not receive a commission for any car that is towed. We can understand that finding a parking space can sometimes be frustrating, which is why we started offering reserved spots. I relocated from a different city me and my family when I tell you it has been the worst decision. I would have never moved here if I KNOWN they HAD ROACHES... When I tell you it has the nastiest infestation of roaches it's ridiculous. The reason why you haven't seen the reviews because the name change from Vistas at Lakeworth and now they have a different management company. The best thing that this property has is Monica the leasing agent who does everyone's job. It is roaches in the hallways dead the maintenance staff just walks over them. If you are looking for clean, roach and bugs free please don't move here. I have never written a review on apartments but this one has to be the worst I have ever seen. My babies are scared to go outside because of the roaches infestation on the walls and ground. The is not a healthy environment for children absolutely no one should live like this. I wish I could add pictures for proof but it is not a option on the website.
The new management (Presidium) is updating a bunch of useless nonsense while the maintenance requests that I've had in since February still aren't complete. They don't have any recycling system (read: don't care about the environment), the pool is borderline hot in the summer, and the gym is the least well-equipped I've seen in my life.
Not any parking. Not one spot. Infested with sugar ants. Managment still hasnt done anything about them. (They were there when we got there). Foundation issues. Wanting to renovate our appartment while we still live there. (We have a newborn) Invasion of privacy. Waters the lawns 6 times a day, for about 30 minutes each session. Most of it is helping the concrete grow, although not enough for more parking. New management doesnt honor previous lease agreement. This list is neverending. If you move here, you're going to have a bad time.
We've been living at our place for alittle more than 2 years. The view from our apartment is spectacular. Love been able to see the water view from our place. I am currently 34 weekso pregnant and I also have a almost 4 year old. With a new baby coming soon it would help fantastic for any help
Overall I would say that the apartment was exactly what I was looking for. The size is just right, the appliances aren't out of date, the restroom is a great size. I'd definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to live alone and don't mind walking down stairs to get to your studio apartment. Management was a little shaky at first and almost deterred me from living there however, once I got over that I moved in and have been there for about 3ms and I have not had any issues. Love the area around, it is located next to everything that you could possibly need, restaurants, gym, dept. stores, etc.
THIS LOCATION IS NOT THE IDEAL HOME The maintenence service is unbelievably rude and is never faster than 2 weeks to get to your issue. the pet deposit of $400 and a $10 monthly fee is illegal and they shouldn't be doing it! There are roaches that never leave! The place is so cheap and terribly designed there is no real laundry space for a normal size washer and dryer. packages are managed poorly due to lack of attention to detail on the labels. the water bill will go up without warning and it is not in their rent agreement! A difference of as much as $20! Please choose another location for you and or your family this was our experience.
I have lived in the apt 3 separate times. Always loved them. This time I'm a little disappointed at the building structure. The apartment has either subfloor issues or the building is shifting. Not good. We requested the apartment be cleaned again when we looked at it 3 weeks prior to move in.. this was not done. I'm praying for a good experience at these apartments.
I think it is in a great area. I had transferred apartments with the old management and the apartment was not that great - I am transferring to a smaller apartment now. The new management really cares and they have followed up on my requests and concerns. I feel confident that the new apartment will be great. TH
If I could give zero stars I would, we have two pools that just opened a week ago and now one is closed again. There is not enough parking for residence and now we need parking permits so even less parking if you have more than one vehicle. The privacy gates don't work and tow trucks run rampant. It took two weeks for maintanance to come and fix the water damage on my ceiling. They didn't even paint what they fixed. I have nothing good to say and looking forward to moving.
I wish the pools and property was taken care of better, but the staff does a pretty good job taking care of apartment issues. Not bad for the price.
You can not get anything fix without absolutely staying on them constantly. They do not have any concerns when you are having problems. Forget using the pools, they never are open. The " gated Community" it broken gates that do not work, they have NO SECURITY, you are suppose to have a parking permit and they give you a number to call if people park with no tags, the tow company you call doesnt care at all. The office staff is horrible. The up keep on the apartments are horrible. They have way paint in the apartments. The owners seriously must not care at all. People are moving constantly in and out. THey overcharge seriously on the monthly cost for what you are getting. They are run down and not worth the money or the time or the frustration you will have when you move in. Noise from people not considerate of other people is horrible. ALways alot of noise going on in the hallways and buildings. Walls are really thin. Electric bills are always really high.
I have lived here a year and absolutely love it. EVERYONE is very attentive to my needs and they follow through with what they say.
I lived there for a year and it was one of the worst years of my life. To get someone to fix anything almost takes an act of congress. The office "professionals" are a joke, they will have breakdowns in their water service and all you can get out of them is" is Texas, you should be use to it" that's insane that someone will say when approach with a concern. The pools , you are lucky if they are open a week during the summer. lived there for 2 summers and was never able to see both of them open at the same time or one of them open for longer than a week. PLEASE!! save yourself the headache , dont move in there, you will regret it.
I've lived here, and the staff is extremely neglectful, by far the worst experience I've had in an apartment. I love the layout of the apartments, just that the staff is so neglectful! I wish I would have had a better experience here, but sadly no. You call them to get maintenance and they NEVER answer the phone, and do not even bother to call you back. I would not recommend anyone live here.
