Parmer Lane is a collection of tiny, quiet neighborhoods north of downtown Austin. This mostly residential area is great for renters and commuters looking for apartments in a peaceful area but still close enough to experience Austin’s lively culture with a short drive. There are relaxing farmlands through this district and there is also plenty of green space for locals to enjoy. Less than 10 minutes away, Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park offers great hiking and biking trails along with a pool and playground. Travel back to a simpler time at quaint Pioneer Farms where you can take old-fashioned classes like blacksmithing, candle making, backyard farming, and more.
If you ever want to escape this pastoral haven, Austin is only a 30-minute drive away, giving access to tons of restaurants, shops, and entertainment.

WHAT A DUMP! Gates are always broken after even after being told for 12 months they would be fixed in "couple weeks" - liars. Mailboxes are always broken into and you do not get your mail at all. The USPS in this area is garbage & steal your packages. Neighbors are always loud and play their music LOUD at all hours. Complex is always trashy & unkept. Apt was dirty and was not cleaned before move-in. Parking is CRAP. Mgmt doesnt care about you or your problems DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Wish I could give this apartment negative 10. Roach infested apartments and leasing management is never answering phones or in office. These apartments need an upgrade and need pest control everyday due to roaches! This apartment complex has over 10 buildings with just one dumpster at the front of the building. Be aware do not rent from here!!!!

Reason I'm rating a 1 is because there's zero safety/ security at this complex. I have lived here for 3.5 years and it's gotten so bad in the past year. The gates are constantly broken! They've been broken more than working since I've lived here. The real issues have happened to me since February. 2 car break ins (zero items left in car except for eyeglasses(secured in compartment), which were stolen). Have paid over $700 in repairs to my windows they broke. Nothing has been done. The lighting is very very poor and the lights they do have, they let burn out and not replace. More lights may help deter car break ins btw... not safe for people to come home to at night, especially when there's no parking spots and have to park multiple buildings away. Lastly, mailboxes were broken into, vandalized, and mail stolen. No communication with what happened, just an email stating some boxes are unsecured, missing mail? Go to this address to pick it up. ZERO INFO! even though my box was damaged, they are still delivering mail to my box. Wtf?! What really topped things off, Vanessa the leasing agent, told me it's not the complexes responsibility for their tenants safety! WHAT?! I pay over $1,200 a month for a small one bedroom in a trash community complex with office management not trying to make things right. And yes Ascent North, it is your responsibility to ensure gates, mailboxes, and lightning is working! Why else am I paying so much to live here and be treated like scum. You've lost a dependable tenant, and that's really unfortunate. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY AND DEAL WITH VANDALIZING.

This has been our favorite apartment in Austin! The location is convenient to I-35 and close to grocery stores and eateries. All 3 major pizza places are within 5 miles or less. The 3 bedroom layout is amazing for our family and we got a great deal for a 6 month lease when compared to other comparable properties. It is quiet here, and everyone is kind. Yes there are burglaries in this area but that’s no fault of the complex. They have recently increased security by having 3 rounds of security patrolling the complex each night from 6pm-6am. One last complaint would be the mailroom location; it is not ideal because you can’t check your mail and have your kids in the car within your site. Like I said, our favorite complex for the value and layout of unit! Would live here again for sure if we weren’t leaving the country!
It’s become obvious that their goal is to attract new renters & that once you’ve signed the lease they don’t provide the same level of customer service that was used to attract you. Without any warning the stopped accepting packages, no one knows the office hours & they refuse to post them despite multiple residents complaining and no one is ever in the office.
I have lived in this complex for 7 years and will be moving this month. I know most people think of negative reviews as people who just want to complain, but let me warn you, this place is truly horrible. Staff is not friendly, grounds are not kept well, one trash compactor for the entire complex. If you have any issues in your apartment, better fix them yourself because they won't. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I have lived here for over a year, and they have promised me that Office Staff are employed here, but I wouldn't know it. Every time I go into the office it's empty, or locked up and completely closed when it's supposed to be open. They change their operating hours on a whim without updating the residents in any way, including updating the website. It's upsetting that it takes weeks of trying to catch them (WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AVAILABLE) just to pick up a package. I pay rent so I can have a place to live and ship packaged to, and currently Ascent North can't manage to do that second one with any sort of satisfactory regularity. Pick some office hours and KEEP THEM PLEASE.
I have lived at the Park at Walnut Creek apartments for 4 years now. I've rented in two different buildings since living here. I've always been really happy with my neighbors. Everyone I've encountered has been friendly and helpful. The area is growing and the apartment is a quick drive to shops, food and entertainment. Highway 35 is about five minutes away. Maintenance is friendly and issues are handled in a timely manner. I always feel welcomed by management staff when I go into the front office. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you get home at later hours in the evening. Overall I enjoy it here and would recommend it.
This apartment complex is great -- easy access to 35, close to an HEB, 25 minutes from downtown and 15 min from domain. Positives: -Laundry facility on site -2 pools -Work out room -Later office hours -Gated -Maintenance is quick! -Staff is friendly and work hard Negatives -Gate breaks a lot (though they are quick to fix it..) -Currently under construction (When I signed last spring, I was told it would be finished summer 2016, and it's still deep under construction) -No granite counters -Work out room has older equipment -A little more pricey compared to other's (I have friends that live in other apartments around the Parmer area, and their rent is cheaper for a bigger unit than mine) -There have been instances of vehicle break ins
With the rent in Austin going out the roof this apt has amazing square footage for the money. I'm in a 2br/2ba with a sunroom and I love it. Convenient location even though I work downtown. It's pretty quiet except for the occassional loud thumping music car going by but that is everywhere. Nice pool and gym. Great that I don't have to park a mile from my apt like in my last place with a garage here.
Very nice apartments with raised ceilings. This complex has a large pool area and entertainment area. A onsite carwash and luandry facility. The down side to this gated community is that it has a high crime rate. Vehicle occure a minimum once a week. other than that.. it's a nice place.
It took me some searching but when I found my new apartment at The Park at Walnut Creek I really fell in love. The price, the sq footage, the views, the location; everything fit in what I wanted. I just had to get in! On my second year leasing I am in no rush to move out. Two big pools, nice work out room, on site car wash station; but my favorite feature is looking out my window to the view of downtown Austin in the far back and a beautiful water feature in front of my building. So glad to be "home".
My apartment is very large with 9ft. ceiling crown molding. a very spacious living room, a nice kitchen with black counter tops, black appliances My apartment is over 800 square ft. 1 bedroom,kitchen,bathroom,dining room,a laundry room,and .also a nice balcony.The entry and the kitchen has wood floors, bathroom has stone floor with a large deep tub. My bedroom is very spacious and I have a walk in closet. The living room is also large .My apartment has 9 ft. ceiling. The rent is very reasonable compared to other apartments that I have checked out this is a very quiet complex.
I simply love this apartment community. The staff is awesome and the apartment is beautiful. I may never live anywhere else. I can't forget the views from the fitness center are to die for.
