Property Ratings at Ash & River
This is my second summer here and there have been at least four property managers in less than a year. With triple-digit weather last August and now June, I still do not have air conditioning. I havevdocumented every conversation with each of the four HVAC professionals that they periodically send out. Every time a new manager sends someone, they act like it is the first time they are hearing of the problem, despite my months-long complaint documented with the notes from the HVAC vendor, photos and videos. Or they act like I ust do not understand how to press buttons, Each new HVAC person asks the same questions, presses the same buttons, and then never comes back. Finally, one professional shared with me that the issue is global and the system has to be replaced by Avenue 5, the corporation that owns the property. I suspect the new vendor who just came out and did the exact same thing was brought in because the old one explained in detail that the real problem was that property management simply would not pay for the required upgrades that HVAC professionals had identified multiple times. If you like A/C or to control the temperature of your home, this is not the place for you.
They are beautiful to look at but were built cheaply. Management is flakey and forgetful. They wanted the tenants to sign a waiver giving them complete authorization to our Idaho power accounts. They’re always late calculating the water and sewer fees. Nothing actually gets fixed. You can hear everything inside of your unit. If somebody drops a plastic bottle on the 3rd floor it sounds like somebody slammed something down on the first floor. For the amount of money paid monthly along with the beautiful exterior I expected more. Parking outside of the garage costs $100 a space a month and there is rarely street parking. Is any of this bad enough for me to move? No. Would I do it again knowing the things I know now? No.
