Property Ratings at Ashford Meadows
It's quiet; great response from maintenance; awesome lounge area; office is open at convenient times; staff is courteous; there's always enough parking no matter when I get home.
it is great to be a part of Ashford Meadows community! I am living here allmost close to 2 years. maintenance is on time and very diligent. the community is well maintained.
In summary, while the staff tries their best, corporate indifference and a lack of investment in the property have caused serious issues that make living here frustrating. First, I want to emphasize that the Leasing Office staff cares. Phil, the property manager, is a kind and attentive person. He listens and does what he can within his power. His team is great too. Very kind people. Here are the key issues I’ve encountered. 1. Package theft is a rampant problem. Delivery companies leave packages at residents' doors, and if you don’t grab them right away, there's a high chance they’ll be stolen. Solutions like Amazon lockers or accepting packages in the office could easily help, but the corporate office seems uninterested in addressing the issue. I don’t believe it's the residents doing this (porch pirates are everywhere!), but the lack of action is frustrating. 2. Beware of steep rent increases. At the end of your lease, expect a potential rent hike of up to 16%. If you're not prepared to move every year or handle such a steep increase, this is something to seriously consider before moving in. 3. Mice infestations are a real concern. Despite living in a renovated second-floor unit, I had mice running through my apartment. By the time I realized what was happening, mouse droppings were everywhere—in the kitchen, on the couch, and even in the guest bathroom. While the office, particularly Phil, responded quickly and took action, I am not sure it's acceptable to have mice running in the apartments. 4. Finally, my breaking point: Parking. My car was towed for parking in a visitor’s spot—yes, a resident’s car was towed. I had the Resident Parking Permit on the windshield. I genuinely didn't know residents weren’t allowed to park there, and instead of a warning or a more reasonable solution, they simply towed my car. When I asked about it, Phil’s corporate boss happened to be in the office, and when I explained what happened, her response was shockingly cold. Without a hint of concern or understanding, she curtly said, "Yeah, residents shouldn’t park in visitors’ spots." There was no effort to listen, no apology for the confusion, and certainly no acknowledgment of how inconvenient and stressful this was for me. This encounter left me feeling like the corporate office views residents as nothing more than numbers on a lease, so I will be moving out at the end of my lease term. I have never ever not renewed.
I have been a resident at Ashford Meadows for almost 5 years. The staff if always pleasant and responsive. But today I want to shout out Henry Dillard. I had an issue and he was immediately concerned and responsive. He went above and beyond to help me out. Anytime I have dealt with Henry he has shown this same level of care and response. Rating 1-10, he gets a 12!!! Miamah Braddox

I had an amazing experience with the leasing process. Javarus at the front office was exceptional: Responsive, flexible professional and very encouraging throughout the entire process. The apartments are gorgeous and very spacious. The full floor to ceiling windows were my favorite feature.

The facilities are fine but the office is unorganized, rude and unethical. The prices will change, the staff is offensive. You will have to hire an attorney to be treated fairly when leaving.

Don’t move to this apartment everything is broken and they that months to fix any problems. Unprofessional waste of money
What might you face if you move in an apartment here? I have been having some mice issues for about 4 months. Those are the all process that I have experienced, and maybe you will experience similar things, too. When you inform office worker about it, you have to wait for the insect rep., but he only comes on Wednesdays. First, some glue traps will be placed, and some mice will be caught. This is not the end. You will realize that more mice are on the way. You may see some holes and inform the office workers. Holes will be fixed, and some poison will be placed, too Oh... Eventually you will be able to sleep properly. But.... Unfortunately, you will see mice again within two weeks. Then you understand that those were not the solution, and they will not be the solution. Then you will go to the office to tell them that you want to transfer from your current apartment to another apartment that they have. What your are going to hear is... - If you want to transfer, you have to pay the transfer fee. -If you want to terminate your contract, you have to pay terminate fee. If you don't want to pay those fees, do not need to worry about it. They will give you another option. Stay in this lovely apartment with mice, and they will continue their successful process to get rid of mice. Time? Sorry, they will say to you it takes time. Today is Thanksgiving, and I saw one again about 1 hour ago Do not be upset. You may not face same situation.
We have lived here for more than a year now. In terms of maintenance of society and the staff, I would never recommend this apartment to any one. They don't listen, don't fix maintenance issues for weeks, roads are worst. Kids are not allowed to play in the garage area which is empty almost all the time. Staff is rude.
LIVED HERE about a year AND IT WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER for the reasons below: 1.In the name of vallet trash they rip off you as much as they can: a.They force you to pay $35 every month b.And set you up to fine you additional $50 by claiming the trash weight is over 25lbs. c.But they don't provide you a scale or tell you it is over 25lbs or let you pick it up and tossed it to dumbster near your unit. d.They bother you by sending many notices if you don't pay unlogical additional $50 even if you pay $35 regularly e.The trash crew don't pick up every Friday and Saturday plus take double days off on holidays. f.They charge you for trash on your moving date even if there is no trash pick up servie on the day of move out. 2.Poor customer service-Staff in the office are VERY RUDE and ridged-they don't care about residents. 3.Used coin laundry all the time during my stay since dryer in unit has never been working even if they tried to fix it. 4.Teenagers knock at your door soliciting money on multiple occastions. 5.The tenants above me sound as if they are going to fall through the floor everytime they take a step, take a shower or flush the toilet. The tenant below me knocks my door for the same reason the sound created by the tenant above me 6.Be prepare to tell them in person for urgnet maintenace request maintenace never came for the online request. 7. Move-In/Move-Out Be prepare to give them 60 days notice and drop it off in the box. Don't try to hand it in person as courtesy. They ripped me off more than $100 even if I movd early. They don't care! They also took a chunk of your deposit to fix old blinds. That's how I remeber Ashford Meadows.
Ashford Meadows is affordable, comfortable, and located minutes from where your wildest dreams may take you. Quick Uber drive to Dulles International Airport, Silver Line metro stop, Reston Town Center and other hot spots for dining and fun. With private balconies and optional garages and lofts, this is the perfect place to wow your friends while enjoying vacation-like living with the sand volleyball court and resort style swimming pool. Fixtures, kitchen arrangement and appliances leave much to be desired, however noise reduction features along with the view and natural light from my top floor loft outweigh any bad feelings. I am recommending Ashford Meadows to anyone who wants to enjoy living.
