Property Ratings at Ashley Estates
To start communication with this company is horrible. I’ve been in the process of trying to get an application approved and in order to get any update of what’s happening I would have to constantly call and leave messages along with emailing my leasing consultant. They would never get back to me until 3 pm or later. And then to finish they say I make to much money to live here due to the fact they believed I made commission and hourly when I repeatedly told them I only make hourly and then instead of trying to talk to my boss and have him explain what happens with my check they said they are unable to do anything and cannot go any further with my application. Like excuse me there’s a reason why I’m trying to apply for these units because I cannot on my own make 3x the rent of a normal place. I wouldn’t even bother with this place. You can definitely find something better.

While we appreciate your interest, we’re sorry that things did not work out at this time.
The application process is a nightmare and the staff is uncommunicative about it. They don’t have a waitlist, you just have to call constantly and hope that after a unit opens, you’re the first person to call. And be ready to move, because you have to be there with 30 days of when you get approved. I just spent two weeks going through the application process, not being contacted for days, being asked for a truly insane amount of paperwork (SIX MONTHS of my bank statements, just one part), asking questions and not getting complete answers, being suddenly told there was a time limit for the application .... and ended up getting denied because I “make too much” because they calculated the absolute maximum I might make as a waitress rather than using the more realistic middle range of what I provided. I have a friend who lives there, the unit are nice, but even before I got denied I was questioning if I wanted to live somewhere where the office staff is so difficult to contact and seem unable to answer questions.
The apartments themselves are fine. However, the office staff and maintenance are the most unapproachable, rude and inept people I have ever met. They do not return phone calls. When I am absolutely forced to enter the office (because I do avoid that at all costs), I am forced to deal with the rudest women ever. They are unfair when it comes to the people who rent here. If you want an apartment that’s ok but the entire staff is awful, then Ashley estates is the place for you.
Horrible management and poorly trained staff. They do not know fair housing guidelines or how chfa works. They are actually overcharging tenants on rent according to chfa guidelines which anyone can find online. the problem is no one questions it because if you do, you are threatened with legal action such as eviction. HUD and CHFA need to audit this management company and the residents need to hire an attorney for a class action law suit to get their money back.
We moved in last year when they first finished building and it was a mess, everyone was a new hire, things constantly needed resigning, and everything moved very slowly. But all the staff have learned from their opening and not only are they readily accessible but fast, friendly and great at taking care of us. We haven talk had a single neighbor I didn't like, and it very clean compared to other places I've seen. Spacious, lovely town homes with a VERY nice kitchen and hook ups(on onsite laundry that can use card payments) is a bonus! We've already renewed for another year and the office countinues to be very helpful! A wonderful place to live, and the rent isn't atrocious like other places
I have been living here for almost a year and love my apartment. It is spacious, tons of closet space and lots of sunlight. Most of the neighbors are sweet and kind and I have noticed that people who cause a lot of problems and break the rules to do stay here for long. I am very happy about that. The staff is amazing and so helpful. They go above and beyond to help out people and have always been kind to me. I will be renewing my lease again with Ashley Estates!! Oh and the fitness room, pool are nice to have on site too.
Was treated very unfairly by very poor management. The staff in the office have had zero experience and some look like they have just walked off the circus clown bus. Was kicked out due to very unfair mismanagement. They never looked into anything and yet could not back up their lies. Maintenance shotty at best and will walk in whenever they want. I have heard they have already been bought out as a property. Not built well at all either, very cheap and poor labor. As a result a very sad, unfair, and bad experience. Neighbors always into your business and ruthless. Lower class individuals and staff as well as tenants.
