Downtown Missoula -- which includes the charming shopping area Heart of Missoula -- is picture-perfect. With its off-street bicycle lanes, wide walkways, quaint shops, restaurants and cafes, and inspiring mountain views, you'll wonder why you didn't move here sooner. Situated along the Clark Fork River, the scenic beauty of Downtown Missoula doesn't stop at the mountains -- head to the river for some gorgeous parks that include Clark Fork Nature Area, Toole Park, and Bess Reed Park.
As home to the University of Montana, Downtown Missoula residents love cheering on the Montana Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are members of NCAA Division I as part of the Big Sky Conference. In addition to spending football season at Washington-Grizzly Stadium, residents can also enjoy the cultural side of the university at the Montana Museum of Art and Culture or at the Philip L. Wright Zoological Museum, both located on campus.
Montana is known for its breweries, and Downtown Missoula features several.

So far my experience has been very good. I am always able to contact someone quickly with any questions.
Ashlyn Place is situated in a very quiet neighborhood. Nice walking trail and quiet neighbors. Great view of the mountains. You cannot beat the location as it is near anything you will need.
Ashlyn Place is a great place to live. The apartments are a good size for the price. I love the patio! It is also in a good location - close to downtown and reserve street.
Great place. Located right next to a nice walking/running path. Love the big windows in the living room for tons of natural light.
Great location, customer service from property management is excellent, and love that its dog friendly. We are very happy here!
Would not wish to live anywhere else. Convenience and location is great. Management and maintenance are top notch.
Ashlyn Place Apartments is a great place to live, especially for the price. Great access to the river trail, pet friendly, and a great layout.
Ashlyn Place has beautiful apartments with large windows, tall ceilings, private balconies, and a great location to downtown and the University. The south facing large windows allow in natural warm sun light that is amazing!
Maggie was wonderful in helping us find a great home here in missoula. Very spacious living space and great location! Absolutely satisfied with our choice of Ashlyn place!
Management is poor, apartments are old and dirty, not enough parking for every apartment. Avoid this place at all costs. Rent $ increases every year. They avoid doing repairs.
Website shows apartments available. Its not until after you fill out the application form and pay the processing fee that they tell you its actually a waiting list. Its only 39.00 but not good business to word it like they do. Glad to pay 39.00 to avoid anymore loopholes in their charges.
We lived here for 2 years on the 4th floor. We moved out in August, 2015. Nice location. Near downtown and also close to the Good Food store. Not much more good to say about it though. They have fewer parking spaces than cars. My wife worked some nights until 10 pm and would have to park on the street outside the complex at night. It wasn't uncommon to find dog urine or spilled beer on the elevator floor. It would remain there uncleaned for weeks. We had 2 door handles that broke (one on the door to the outside balcony that prevented the door from shutting fully and would blow open in a moderate wind and the other on our pantry door which left the door always propped open). This was a material quality issue. We complained about 5 different times. They were never repaired. We also had an active beehive about the size of a volleyball on our porch. Complained. Never addressed. The units are 2 bedrooms with one bath. The bathroom/shower is located between both bedrooms with a door to each bedroom and also a door leading into the kitchen/living room. That meant that anyone using the bathroom could and would be heard by everyone else in the unit. Really, really poor design. Walls are also thin so you can hear your neighbors at all hours of the day and night and vice versa. I would also recommend that if you have a decent bike that you keep it in your storage room. I locked mine up in the downstairs area. The lock was cut and the bike stolen. Turns out that lots of people who do not live in the building cut through the parking lot (including bike thieves). You should also be aware that the area around the building is heavily populated with for-profit addiction recovery facilities. So get used to having a revolving door of recovering addicts as your neighbors. The property mgmt people are on-site. But like I said, they are primarily useless when it comes to getting things fixed or keeping common areas clean and organized.
Our apartment is very modern and energy efficient. It has a great layout and stainless steel appliances. We have a large balcony and is in a great location. The central air and large living room window are perfect for the spring and summer time. Lots of parking and very good management.
