Downtown Bellevue hugs the coast of Lake Washington's Meydenbauer Bay, directly across the lake from Downtown Seattle. Bellevue is an award-winning city, with accolades like the best place to live and start a business. Downtown Bellevue is the heart of this popular city, housing many of the businesses, shops, and Downtown Park -- an emerald-green oasis covering 21 acres and featuring a promenade, shade trees, a canal, and a 240-foot-wide waterfall.
As the city's central business district, Downtown Bellevue covers only about 400 acres -- but it is densely populated with office buildings, hotels, entertainment venues, apartment buildings, and shops. Some of the neighborhood's largest employers include Expedia, Eddie Bauer, Concur, and Paccar. Microsoft, located in nearby Redmond, is the city's largest employer.
Bellevue Square contains a variety of shops and restaurants, while the Bravern is a mixed-use development containing offices, apartments, and shops.

Property Manager at Ashton Bellevue, Responded To This Review
Hello there, We apologize for any confusion or disappointment your renewal offer may have caused you. We understand that rental pricing is an important consideration for our tenants, and we strive to be transparent and accommodating in our approach. Our analysts take various factors into consideration when determining the price for each unit. These factors include seasonality, location within the building, view, and other unique features that differentiate each unit. As a result, no two units are exactly alike in terms of pricing. Our intention is to work with our tenants to find mutually agreeable solutions whenever possible. Thank you for providing us with your feedback regarding your time in the community, we are always looking for ways to enhance the resident experience. Kind Regards, Callie, WeCare@udr.com
We lived here for a year and had to move out. We kept having maintenance issues -- some specific to our apartment and some that were for the full building. I don't know if it was poorly built, or if the maintenance is poorly handled, but the amount of problems are unbelievable. For an apartment complex that's so expensive, you'd expect things to work well or be fixed quickly. In the summer, the air conditioning was unavailable frequently due to various issues. And in our specific apartment, we had numerous plumbing problems that were so bad it caused us to move out. Avoid this place. I don't know if it's bad luck or what, but it was just one problem after the next.
