Ashwood Park Apartments

How can an apartment receive 18 one star reviews , Only one four-star review and get an overall score of four??? This is misleading at best! I guarantee they are not a four-star apartment complex. I moved in one week before lockdown in 2020. Upon moving in, I noticed the apartment wasn’t clean. They were broken shelving, dead bugs, roach droppings plastered to the bathroom door and door frame, roach droppings in outlets, dirty stove and the list goes on. When this was brought to their attention they tried to blame me. after I called corporate and sent pictures to them showing the nasty condition I was given, I won a contest for paying my rent on time…a $500 gift card. How convenient I get $500 and they don’t have to admit that they did anything wrong. In the two years I lived there, I never saw that contest ran again. My neighbors upstairs were ungodly noisy. I’m talking about 2, 3 & 4 o’clock in the morning throwing parties, jumping up and down. I thought they’re coming through my ceiling. Each time this happened I called the office… NOTHING. I even gave them a police report number… Once again, NOTHING. They claimed they knew nothing about it. When we finally got security I asked if they gave them a report each time that I called. I was told the office was notified. NOTHING. Roaches are a big problem there. I had to remove items from my home cover up all my TVs and computers because my building had to be sprayed like COVID was present. That didn’t stop them. Before I moved I fumigated so I would not take them to my new home. I’ve been gone for six months. I have not received my deposit check. I called a couple of weeks ago asking about it and was told they would get with the manager. Fast forward to today. I had to call them and ask them where is my money. The girl on the phone said I have to ask my manager. She then said it had been forwarded to the address on file. That’s when I told her again I have not received it I don’t have it. I asked did you see if the check has been cashed? I have to ask my manager. We’ll see if I get my deposit. Should be the full deposit because I returned the apartment in far better condition than what it was given to me. Floors were mopped, carpets were cleaned, and the stove and refrigerator were immaculately clean. The apartment was move-in ready unlike the condition that I received it in. Don’t move here! For what you pay in rent and the crap you have to deal with… BUY A HOUSE!

MOLD MOLD MOLD If you love living in mold and love to get hospitality bills for mold exposure and want a staff that doesn’t help and blame you and also is completely rude and will not let you break your lease because of mold this is the place for you perks are car and home break ins also health problems! This apartment is falling apart literally and all the staff does is paint over every problem to hide up unknown to them the apt is rigged with cameras. THEY PAINTED OVER MOLD HOW DISGUSTING IS THIS!!!

Unprofessional, inconsistent, and inconsiderate. Lived here for 3 yrs and they have sucked the whole. Hope you got money to spend. They have bedbugs, so you will spend money replacing furniture and exterminating. Maintenance will walk in your apartment without a request; if your home or not to “fix a leak”. In the latest issue is hot water. I’ve gone weeks without hot water at random. All to “fix a leak”. Spend a extra $150/$200 for a better place.

I came to view this apartment. Made an appointment and then when I arrived the woman sitting at the desk said that I can apply online. They will not be showing apartments due to coivid. I refuse to just apply for an apartment that I have not seen. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Pathetic management. The manager is stubborn,rude,arrogant and not considerate about their customers. They charge you unnecessarily when you move out. Any issues in apartment, they take a long time to address those issues which is very disappointing. But they are very prompt in charging you money by stating pathetic rules which are never conveyed earlier. Leasing office and corporate are never in sync. Customers get affected due to this mismanagement between them. There are bugs, ants and roaches in apartments. They do have lot of hidden charges. ALL THE BEST IF YOU ARE RENTING APARTMENT HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The front office staff is very rude. They don’t care much about existing residents. Maintenance team was good earlier but now has become worst. For any maintenance to be done you have to remind them 3 to 4 times before someone shows up to get the issue fixed.

Never try this complex. They will charge you a lot when you move out without any reason. Charged me about 500$ for carpet replacement without showing me any photo.

Worst management. They’re rude and arrogant people. Charges unnecessarily once you move out. Money minded. They did not care about the roach problem for two years. They have zero respect for the tenants. Avoid these apartments. They are absolutely good for nothing.

There should be an option for no star, one star is too much for this place! The office signed for receiving a delivered package but lost it, and did not take responsibility for it!! I do not recommend this place.

Wouldn’t even recommend my enemy to stay here. Save money, find better place. Just know I warned y’all!!

The manager is very rude. They do not care about any thing except getting their money. They have no respect for costumer. I do not recommend this place.

The maintenance is painful. People in the leasing office don't know how to talk. these guys don't attend to any of your problems. The house is fully infested with roaches. There are ants. Terrible bed bugs infestation. When complained about these, they said break the lease and leave. This community sucks. I wish I could rate in negative.

I rented new house in Ashwood park apartments, Dallas. Apartment cabinets are in such a bad condition that if you touch cabinets to open it, it will gonna hurt your finger very badly. They give new apartment in such a bad condition. There are so many flies in new apartment. Cabinets are very nasty, everything is broken. There maintainance department person came to see the apartment and they said the cabinets are 25 years old! No renovation! I don't know for what I am paying rent..! Please check apartment before renting, if they allow because to me they never show me before, so that they can cheat me by giving such apartment.

The worst service I have ever received. After submitting our application, we were told that we would know the outcome of our application in 3-5 days. We didn't hear anything for weeks and had to constantly call them to ask for an update. Finally after 4 weeks, they told us that our application was approved and that we had 3 days to respond to them. I called them on the 3rd day and the person that I spoke with (Ashley) told me that I had one more day. When I called them the next day, they said that 3 days were up and our refund will not be given back. I told them that I acted on the information given by Ashley herself, but the manager refused to listen. "I don't care what information you received from our office, we won't refund the deposit", these were the exact words spoken by the manager to me. I repeat, the worst ever service by the leasing office people and we have been unfairly cheated out of our deposit. DO NOT EVER APPLY HERE!!!!

DO NOT MOVE TO THIS APARTMENT. They are a scam. What the leasing office tells you is a lie. I moved out two weeks early than what my lease said, and the leasing office said just pay the pro-rated rent, and you can move out early at no charge. I then get a letter in the mail stating I owe the rest of my rent (2 weeks pro rate) and a $600 Reletting fee. Keep in mind there is a waiting list for these apartments. Now the office is stating “I should of read my lease”, well THEY told me I could do this. Basically they scammed me into believing that I could move early at no fee, so they could then come back and charge me the “Reletting Fee” at a later time. Of course the manager at corporate Kara will not answer! . DO NOT move here unless you want to deal with foolishness! I will post this across all review sites until this is resolved.

They don't do anything about your problem, once they take the payment. They have made this as a business and they are not considering the satisfaction of their customers.

The service her is bad. The manager is rude along with the assistant manager. The people are not reasonable. So if your looking for a nice place to live. You better move on.

This is the worst apartment complex we have ever lived in. We have been here for 4 months... Our air conditioner has gone out 5 times, our dish washer never worked and we were told it would be replaced months ago, but nothing. The parking lot is not safe. The office staff is non-responsive to issues. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

This is an excelent apartment that is between richardson and plano. It is one of the best apartment thats is on the black. It has two swimming pools and three laundry rooms, that are near you or around the corner. There are a lot of friendly residents , and the maintness are well respectful and good workers.
