Property Ratings at ASPEN APARTMENTS
I resided in these apartments from May 2020 to February 2021 in apartment #1022, back when the property was managed by a different company. In February that year, I left my lease a bit early due to relocating to another state. The previous management was understanding and helped me navigate the lease termination process, including the reletting fee. However, my experience changed when there was a turnover in assistant managers around October 2023. Unfortunately, without any prior communication, they sent my case to collections for an alleged unpaid reletting fee, despite my having evidence of payment. I've reached out to them for documentation supporting their claim, but it's been over two weeks without a response. Communication with the assistant manager has been challenging, and obtaining the requested documentation has proven even more difficult. As a result, I'm now in a dispute with the collections agency, which is impacting my ability to secure a new rental apartment. The lack of communication and documentation from the apartment complex has created unnecessary stress and obstacles in resolving this issue. I would not choose to live here again if it were the last place available on earth.

I am a current resident here and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend. Aspen is convenient in the fact that it is close to Walmart, gas stations, and food places. However, the place is old. The apartments are old. Old, drafty windows. When it rains, the windows leak. Floor boards are broken. Cabinet are old, rusty, and squeaky. If your neighbor smokes, good luck keeping that smell out of your house. As far as the leaky windows, they’ll never get fixed. If you’re looking for something affordable, this is the best bet in Shreveport; but remember: you get what you pay for.
Staff has always been awesome to me. The Aspen apartments are very nice and affordable compared to others in the area.
Only certain apartments receive updates. The windows are drafty and old. Parking is horrible. I was so happy when my lease was up. Overpriced apartments that’s very outdated
I would recommend this complex for those looking for a quiet and cost effective apartment. I lived here for 2 years and enjoyed it for the most part. I moved from out of state to here. There were hiccups in the beginning, mainly my apartment was not ready or had the upgrades that were promised. The manager at the time took care of the majority of the issues with the exception of my apartment not being deep cleaned. The main issue that presented itself from not having a deep clean is that my tub had a ring in it, and my carpets weren’t cleaned prior to my move in. Most maintenance issues were rectified quickly. Only maintenance issue that was never resolved in 2 years was the hot water in the tub would leak out of the handle when I turned the shower on, and it caused the enamel on the tub to be stripped off. I pointed it out multiple times when maintenance and the property manager did walk throughs, and nothing was ever done about it. On the flip side when my air conditioner broke Memorial Day weekend, they brought in a window unit to help cool the apartment down. They did replace the air conditioner which was original to my unit. I also had concerns with my next door neighbor constantly smoking outside of my front door, and it would come into my apartment because the front door wasn’t sealed well. Mentioned it to the property manager multiple times but nothing ever happened so I gave up. I just had string air fresheners put in. The management team has been a revolving door at this property, with there being 4 property managers in two years. The current team is super helpful and nice. They seem to be working on fixing the missteps of the previous teams. At the end of the day, I would recommend this complex to anyone who asked for my opinion. It’s great price, awesome floorplans, and I love all of the trees.
Absolutely loooove these apartments, they’re so quiet .
If you plan on living somewhere that you can enjoy the pools in the summer dont move here...They close the pool all the time sometimes for weeks at a time then will reopen it for one day then close it again it makes absolutely no sense to me. We supposedly have 2 pools but very rarely do you see both open
Living here has been good. I have had no problems getting in contact with management, nor have I had any problems in general. I have never not once, had to express a need more than once since living here. The people here are quiet and friendly. The management are very understanding, and make sure that every need of each tenant is met in a reasonable manner. I have enjoyed living here at the Aspens, located at 9730 Baird Road Shreveport, Louisiana 71118.
quiet, enjoyable atmosphere, laid back but efficient staff. all in all quiet a decent place to live. only down side of this apt complex is that it takes about 20 mins to get to my job from here. other than that I really like this place. Has 4 pools so always one open. Office is always willing to help if you have an issue. Stephen culbertson
These apartments are perfect for your first apartment. They are safe and have at least 3 cops living in them. They are also pet friendly! Deposit for animals are pretty high, but worth it. They are very clean. 4 pools and a tennis court. Really nice management!
The aspens apartment has great customer service. The rent is very reasonable. The surrounding is very positive. If you want friendly, cheap rent, and positive surrounding go and check out The Aspens.. They are AWESOME!!!!
