Property Ratings at Aspen Chase
Packages are being stolen INSIDE AND OUTSIDE of the buildings with no change or plan occurring with months of reports noted. Police are here weekly due to disturbances- sometimes more than once in a day. The office staff in particular are unhelpful and do not answer calls yet don’t return voicemails with issues or concerns either. They "focus" on the outside of the apartments to make it appear nicer while inside everything is falling apart. The “amenities” if that’s what you want to call them are either not working, inconsistent (pool will be opened hours late, no gym keys, etc.) Truly can't recommend a place any less and counting down the days until I'm out.
My review keeps getting rejected, so I'll just say, it all depends on management. Check the most recent reviews, and go off that. It can be a really nice place to live, or it can be really horrible.
I gave this community $100 to reserve a place. They gave that place away without telling me and are refusing to give me my money back. I was without a home for about a week because of how disruptive this sudden change of plans was. Currently I'm turning all of my documentation about this experience over to my legal team. I advise against living here.
I am a current resident in a ground floor apartment. I have complained multiple times of the noise and delinquency that occurs on a daily basis in my building and nothing has been done in 6 months of living here. The office people are nice and welcoming but when it comes to taking care of horrible residents they will not work with you. The neighbors above me have a pit bull (which isn't allowed in the complex) who runs and knocks stuff over 24/7, it literally sounds like the stands at a high school football game as the students stomp of them. When their dog does't keep me awake, they sing death metal and play guitar until 5am to do the trick. Aside from them, the halls smell like pot daily. There's a drug dealer living in the corner apartment and he constantly has fights with his multiple girlfriends. He too has a pit bull but at least he's trying to hide him. Iv'e caught people smoking cigarettes in the halls, bags of coke on the ground, vomit on the hall floor, and a knife underneath the steps. To make things even better, the mailbox's have cheap locking nuts, so every so often your mailbox gets left open. I'm breaking my lease ASAP and i hope you don't get my apartment.
GO ANYWHERE ELSE. This place is awful!!!! First, they messed up my move in date and my apartment was not ready on time-causing me panic and having no place to go until they had it ready. Second, everything in the apartment is falling apart, broken, or was previously broken and poorly fixed. If they tell you maintenance will come between 1 and 4, don't count on it. I've had to have the maintenance guy tracked down. Anything they do fix, is typically a poor job. Very sketchy complex. People below me smoke, causing second hand smoke/stink to fill my apartment every evening. This place overall sucks and I cannot wait for my lease to be up so I can get out!
Living in Aspen Chase Apartments is a very convenient location for easy access to shopping and laundry. The management staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, the maintenance staff comes when you call there is no waiting. Overall, living in Aspen Chase Apartments is very suitable. The apartments have scenic views and the floor plans are just divine.
I pay over $150 a month in utilities for about 750 sq. ft. because they use substandard equipment for the HVAC system and refrigerator. Both have required substantial maintenance or replacement several times each year that I've lived here. Management is vastly more concerned about the outdoor appearance of the apartment complex than the function of internal systems, including doors, walls, pipes, etc.
This apartment is the bomb dot com, it has spacious closets and lots of storage space.
I moved into Aspen Chase about 1 year ago. It's mostly quiet and the grounds are kept, the pavement is resurfaced yearly, the staff are very kind people, and the apartments seem new when you first move in. The only issue I noticed when I moved in were the occasional cockroaches. They were never a major issue and I only saw them for about 2 months here and there. This year, however, I'm hearing a lot of residents complain about bed bug infestations. My apartment recently became infested with bed bugs and it is traumatizing, as well as costly. Others in my building are throwing away their furniture due to the problem. They are very prevalent and secretive pests and can leave you with no choice but to dispose of your furniture. Please be sure to make sure that your apartment has been evaluated before moving in.
I truly love McKinley Apartments, The customer service is outstanding, the environment outside is peaceful and serene, the buildings are well maintained, and if you ever need something fixed, they are all over it! Aspen Chase stays on top of keeping the complex clean and updated. There is a large pool and sidewalks everywhere for any runners, walkers, or dog owners! Rent is reasonable, one of the lowest I've seen around here for this quality of place. My 1 bed 1 bath is spacious and was SO clean when I moved in. The surroundings are convenient as well for shopping, food, and groceries. Also, bus transportation is EVERYWHERE. And for those that go to school, there are 2 Universities and 1 community college within a few miles. LOVE IT!
Pretty good apartment. Its quiet. They do a good job with the apartments appearence.
As a resident of 4 years, this apartment complex is decent enough, but nothing spectacular. There have been at least 5 different complex managers, so don't expect to feel personally welcomed. Overall, safety isn't a huge issue, but given the area, it's best to be cautious. Use common sense and always keep your car locked and never leave valuables in it (not just hidden, take them inside). There is a pool, but use at your own risk. There is ample parking, not just for you, but also for the shady happenings that go on around the complex (sadly, it's not as bad as other places in the area). The apartments are generally ok. The size is decent, though the price runs a little high for the quality and the fact that no utilities are included. No, not even the $5 trash charge, seriously. There is ample storage within which makes up for it a bit. The maintenance staff is very prompt, just don't expect an A repair (they repaired my kitchen sink and replaced the faucet backwards...). They have been making improvements such as new facade, windows, and carpeting if you are lucky enough. So, this complex provides a "livable" space, just don't set your expectations too high.
I have been living at Aspen Chase for 2 years plus and the grounds and the complexes are always maintained to the highest standards. If I need something fixed in my apartment, I call and they are there immediately and always do a follow up to make sure I am satisfied.
The office is extremely helpful if and when you have any questions or concerns about your apartment. They always seems to have an answer for us, which is really great. The buildings are also updated regularly, and the complex has a pool and an off-leash area for dogs! It's really the perfect place for people and their pets. And there's always plenty of space for parking. Really, Aspen Chase is a great place to live!
