Property Ratings at Aspen Park
The amount I paid in rent did not reflect the quality of the living space. Bathtub upon moving in was in disgusting condition. Took several days of deep cleaning. Toilet requires multiple flushes majority of the time so you don't have anything left behind. Window screen was broken and not replaced. Had 2 large wasps get into my living room. And one of the most annoying aspects is that you can hear the person above you walking everywhere (living on the 1st floor). Ceiling is very creaky so the sound is impossible to ignore. Very distracting especially if you are a student needing to study. Rent is a bit cheaper compared to some other complexes but avoid if you can.
This is the worst place I have ever lived in. When I first applied to get an apartment my lease was screwed up 3 times and the fourth time I hardly bothered to check because I was busy at work when I was told I had a few hours to sign and so I did just sign it there and then. Later after going through my contract in-depth one day I see my lease was made for 3 years when it was supposed to be for 1 year. I thought this was a mistake and later on, I proceeded to do another lease because of money and our lease was once again screwed up which had to be for 6 months and ended up being put for one year instead. Also another thing these apartments have are a lot of hidden fees that you don't see coming and have to pay there and then. Like a new key for you mailbox has to paid by you no the complex, and you don't even get it done there are the complex, you have to go to the post office and it may take a few days to a week to get a new one. After just 3-4 months of living in that new apartment the walls started to get mold and the tiles of the bathrooms started to pop off and the color of the walls varied because there were spots that were remodeled but looked like they had only one layer of whatever they put so the damage was noticeable under that one layer all over the living rooms. There were lots of leaks in these apartments as well which sucked for those livinging in the ground level like me. The manager sucks at doing her job and messed up not only my lease about 6 times but 2 of my other friends had the same situation happen where their leases were extended more than what they wanted and didn't find out till later. The manager always got onto those who didn't have their dogs on leashes once or twice but she would take her dog out without a leash herself at times. They hardly care for the residents living there and the manager is mostly worried about her little plants and the surrounding part of her living space than of those hundreds other resident living there. This was the worst experience of living space I have ever had and I hope that manager gets fired because all that crap was just ridiculous.
