Property Ratings at Aspen Place
Booked a tour and went to the address they gave us in a text message which took us to a Nursing Facility a few blocks away from the actual office which we found by looking them up on Google. The phone number was headquarters so we couldn't even call to check in. Once we got there, we were told that they were renovating and so the prices would go up by the time we actually looked to move in. The website also lists some apartments as having washer and dryers in the units or having hookups available, but we were told that there were actually none in any of the units and they only had laundry facilities.
My water heater hasn’t been working for over a month now. I can’t do dishes, wash bottles, cook dinner for my family and kids.
This apartment is as close as you can come to living in a condemned apartment, nothing works. The should just demolish it and use the space for something better.
I just recently moved into these apartments and I am already wanting to get out of my lease. So many things have gone wrong since the moment we arrived. The office staff seemed to be clueless of what was going on and did not have the paperwork prepared for us upon arrival. They “ran out of” mailbox keys. We have so many bugs/pests entering our apartment. The carpets are stained. Light fixtures don’t work. Water has been off practically since we moved in. Neighbors are trashy and loud. The area is very unsafe. We are getting sent pet rules when we notice that no one else around us seems to be following those rules. Save your time and don’t live here.
No laundry in the units or on campus, the office staff is rude, hidden move out fees, horrible neighborhood kids who break windows, water gets turned off whenever, they don’t pay the trash bill…so many reasons not to live here
Office Staff is always helpful and friendly. All maintenance request is answer in a prompt time. I can see the change now then I did before. I very satisfied with my choice of living @ Aspen Place.
The only good thing is the price. Management old and new suck, I had to leave early because of massive problems with them and they threatened to do legal action after we gave them mountains of good reasons to break contract. These include: finding bedbugs after downstairs neighbors left, roaches, the opossum in the ceiling, complete disregard for safety, refusal to fix broken out of code stairs, refusal to check for packages and lost mail after someone broke into our mailbox, and so many more issues. We moved out before the massive snow storm and I returned to get mail and stuff left inside and the door was broken in and our remaining items were stolen from the inside, including $300 worth of supplies and the entire apartment was taken apart and destroyed. This place is not worth the time honestly. Save up and move elsewhere. Listen to the guy on here who says he’s lived here for 7 years, he’s a good man.
What I like about living at Aspen Place is where I am located and the accessibility to my mail box and trash ben. I like my apartment so I try to keep up the maintenance due to its age. Also, most of my neighbors are quite friendly. I would totally recommend Aspen Place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and well maintained place to rent. This is Brenda Bonsu and Aspen Place is highly recommended.
I have lived here for ten years at least. I have never had any problems with management. For a complex this large it is really quiet. It’s close to shopping. The grounds are kept nice and clean. I don’t know what else to say about Aspen Place other than it great to live here
If I could give zero stars I would. I lived there for a few months before I had enough, Management is horrible and the apartment manager herself refuses to speak to anyone. Maintenance is just out right ignorant and they don't know what they are doing they even say so themselves. My breaker box was blowing sparks outside my toddlers room and they told me that it was normal. Water is on maybe 45% of the time and that's generous. I didn't have heat or ac the majority of the time that I lived there. They took 100 dollars off my rent one month thats it. The entire month it was freezing and I didn't have heat or hot water. I couldn't shower in my home either. I asked to be let out of my lease but they refused for the safety of my family we had to leave. I am supposed to come home a relax not live in a nightmare. DON'T MOVE HERE! Its a waste of your time and money. They don't care about their residents at all
I’ve lived here for 7 years. The problems I encountered was poor maintenance service (takes them forever to fix things), mold, the air conditioning is absolutely DREADFUL in the summer, water is shut off everyday almost for hours and drugs dealers for neighbors. Someone has also tried to break in my apartment 3 times.
My sister and I just went here to inquire about their apartments and Barbara was more than amazing. She took the time to answer all our questions and she was beyond sincere. I have seen a lot of negative comments about this place and the plumbing issues. I asked Barbara about this because after seeing all the negative comments, that was a major concern of ours. Barbara was very straight forward and honest about the entire situation and took her time to tell us everything. Problems arise in life, that’s just life, and they are doing their best to fix the problem and accommodate everyone in the process. When you have a group of people, more than likely there will be at least one person in the group that is not satisfied no matter what you do. After, talking to Barbara, I am more than convinced that this is the place I want to move in to. I can’t wait to come and view the apartment on Monday. Barbara is absolutely amazing and great at what she does. If you are looking for an apartment, I highly recommend looking past the couple negative comments and see this place for yourself and make your own informed decision. I am surely glad I did. Thank you Barbara for being so wonderful!
The apartments are big and cheap but the tradeoff is they shut off the water everyday. Also my A/C doesn't work and still hasn't been fixed. I'll update this review if anything changes. Right now I regret signing a 1 year lease.
You get so much for your money at Aspen Place! I lived here from 2015-2016...and I loved it! My 2 bed 2 bath cottage was 1800 sf with 6 closets, some of them huge...a gorgeous brick wall with a working fireplace in the center, all new carpet throughout, new paint, all new appliances..fantastic AC and heating. I also had a small patio and fenced yard area with 2 lovely large trees for my dog to roam a bit. The drawback though was that there were some huge black insects that would squeeze in through the back door. I bought sealer myself and fixed the problem, and never saw an insect again (there are no insects in the walls like other cheaply made 'luxury apartments'. ) The walls must be solid cement because I also never heard my neighbor either! There is plenty of parking including an assigned covered parking spot in the back of the apartment that is dearly appreciated when the OKC hail comes crashing down! The grounds are spacious...grassy areas everywhere with mature trees and it is manicured every week! It looks like a park! Maintenance is great but during the summer, AC repairs and replacements might mean that you have to wait a few days (but that problem is in all complexes!). I never minded as the Maintenance guys were excellent and very friendly! Lastly. I never saw anyone hang out in the parking lots and everyone I met were warm and lovely people and many of the tenants have lived there for 20-30 years!!! Truly , living at Aspen Place is like going back to the past, when things were made nicer with the family in mind!
Love this place very clean atmosphere and the staff are great
If you are looking for a spacious apartment with a home feel, this is the place you've been looking for. I've lived here for quite a number of years( probably too long according to some). The community is nice very well kept, quiet and peaceful which I love. It really does feel like home. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping destinations nearby, even a lake to enjoy. We are also located within minutes of the highway for quick access when you get ready for a weekend getaway.
