It may not have the flashy reputation of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but Sacramento embodies the very best of what makes California so unique. The city is well known for preserving its history, from early settlements like Sutter’s Fort to the gorgeous 19th century architecture of Old Sacramento to the artifacts in the Sacramento History Museum. Pop culture and the fine arts are well-represented, with local stages hosting symphony concerts and rock shows and galleries displaying works by the old masters as well as modern upstarts. The local restaurant scene is famous for its heavy emphasis on “farm to fork” principles, making it one of the best places to find fresh, locally sourced food.
Those living in Sacramento love to take advantage of the mild climate, whether that means biking the River Trail, taking the kids to Fairytale Town, or heading over to Sutter Health Park to catch a River Cats baseball game.

Property Ratings at Aspire Arden Apartments
I’ve been here since February and I will say it’s been a nice place to live. Not rowdy or loud and my neighbors are pleasant. The main problem I have is I live upstairs and it gets excruciatingly hot. They say central air, but no. Every single unit I’ve seen has a wall air conditioner. The bedrooms of the apartment can get unbearable. Many nights I sleep on my sofa in the living room where the a/c is. It is 8:32pm and it’s 90 degrees in this apartment right now. With how much I pay for rent; and I’m sure most are paying the same, give or take; we should have central heat and air. It is 2022 not 1980.
Lived here for a bout a year now. The rent was very affordable which was the main reason for moving in. On the first day moving in I found roaches everywhere. It was definitely infested. A year later the roaches are not as common but you'll still see one or two every now and then. I've had multiple people park in my assigned parking space, mainly at night, which is definitely frustrating especially when coming home from work. Some of the gates work, others don't work/stay open. Homeless people are constantly seen in/around the dumpsters. You'll also see stray dogs walk around the complex at night(thanks to the gates not closing). Due to the location of the apartment complex you'll also hear a lot of police sirens. Many of the homeless roam around outside the apartment. Maintenance isn't the best. When my AC broke during the summer, it took them several months to fix it. Definitely not a place you want to stay for a long time. But if you're desperate for a cheap place like I was, then I'd say it's decent enough. As long as you don't mind the roaming homeless and roaches of course. If you've got the extra funds though I'd highly recommend looking for another place to live.
Change in management means no one is ever in the office to answer your questions, no one answers the phone, and there are always homeless people in the property dumpsters and stray pit bulls in the complex parking lot. Would definitely not reccommend!
Left here 2012 all the positive reviews are from management. TRUST ME! Roaches , gangs, and when I lived there someone pooped in the washing machines and bored in the dryers. A fight broke out at a bbq on the second floor apartment because someone ate the last piece of bread and they threw the grill coals and all in the pool. I’m not exaggerating I’m not embellishing just stating fact. Car Theft apartments broke into . Walked up to my apartment people were drinking and playing dice. Mold in the apartments . Gates never worked properly. Last Christmas I was there . I couple got into a fight and they threw the Christmas tree out in the parking lot and landed on a car. Last but not least couldn’t have cable people were even stealing that . Take it or leave it ....but thems the facts.
You do not want to ever rent here, this place is the worst place to live in Sacramento co. The management does nothing to take care of the residents! Kids and young adults doing drugs in the laundry room and mail room or where ever they want, and if you come upon them they WILL ATTACK YOU and hurt you, and management does nothing at all. They say gated but all they do is grab the gate and pull it open!!! and come on in, homeless people parting in your hallway at all hours of the day an night peeing outside your front door and if you say anything they will want to fight you!! NICE HUH!!!! How much rent????? OH pool closed by the health dept nice huh!!! Also pool overrun by drug addicts not even caring about kids in pool again management does nothing!!!! Don't even think of sleeping at night people always parting in the parking lot with loud music at all hours of the the day and night, and other residents playing loud music and doing drugs at all hours, and again MANAGEMENT DOES NOTHING TO FIX ANYTHING EXCEPT RAISE THE RENT. I know I lived there just over 9yrs and when this management started Alittle over a year ago, every long term residents left fast, worst management ever. Not worth the price MONEY TRAP!!! people staying one lease and leaving HMMMM!!! Dont rent here.
would not recommend living here gates always broken people always hanging in parking lot drinking n smoking while kids trying to play shooting in daylight twice In one day AWFUL!
Based on my experience at Sterling for the past two years, the only review I believe on this page is the one entitled "Help". As a broke, working student, the price kept me, but with frequent rent increases, hands off management, serious drug activity in and out of certain units (we're not just talking marijuana here folks), and no improvements to anything, it's not worth my sanity and security. Oh, and don't let the gate fool you; it's nearly always broken and open.
I am wanting to move from here. I live in a better and more safe location in Sacramento. I understand people reside where rent is cheaper based on their income. The apartment is for a temporary situation. However, these apartments are centrally located to various businesses and Sacramento State University.
Located near a major mall, across the street from a shopping center and an affordable gym, lots of restaurants nearby, movie theater and more! If you work a lot or just like to keep to yourself then this is the place for you. The neighbors keep to themselves and it's pretty quiet. Since new management has taken over the maintenance is extremely speedy. It would be five stars if they hadn't just raised the rent!
With the exception of the random Saturday night parties and the kids playing outside in the summer the complex is generally a quiet community. The apartment themselves are nice inside with newer appliances and a TON of storage. The biggest downside to the complex is the limited parking but it is a gated community so it goes hand in hand. There are several different food joints, clothing stores to walk to and a gas station on the corner. Management is really friendly and helpful. You're only a few minutes drive from arden fair, 80 and highway 50 so that is helpful. Overall the neighbors have been friendly and quiet but there have been a few arguments between couples from the parking lot that we hear due to our apartments location.
After viewing this apartment, reluctantly its affordable and nice. I highly reccommend someone to look into renting one of these apartments.
you want a great place to live this is your home for the future.
