I used to think the prior management was awful but the new company is even worse. Since their takeover in May it has been nothing but issues with billing that the manager never addresses and takes several times to get them resolved. Not to mention this property is scorpion infested despite being charged for pest control.The gates have been broken for 10 months despite numerous calls to the office. The property is out dated and run down for what they are charging, you can find much better places in the area.
Lived here for 3 years with 2 management companies, second company wasn't that great. Slow response in maintenance issues, slow updates to the complex, gate never worked/was fixed, roaches and scorpions. AC is super outdated and mine always leaked. Surprise cleaning cost when moving out. Wasn't warned and cleaning was $90 while carpet was $75. I cleaned before I left but office did not want to complete a walk through. "Checking out" process is not very clear. I called a bunch and was always told they will get back. Had to go to the office after not getting any feedback. There are better nicer places to rent from in the area.

Overall I wasnt very happy our experience here. Security was a major issue, and had multiple instances of police being called, and at one point a break in happened in the unit next door. Sprinkler system floods parts of the complex due to broken heads and lines. Dog park isnt kept well, bugs are an issue even though we pay for regular sprayings. Work orders seem to disappear, and getting a hold of staff is almost always a hassle. Mail was lost on multiple occasions and the pool below us has been closed for 9months now, and the gate has been broken since we moved in. In short I dont think we will renew our 14 month lease.

Do NOT live here unless you want to sign a lease to stress and being ignored by management. Ladies in the front office do not know how to do their job and Im sorry to say I wasted two years living here. Maybe if management like knight vest or really anyone but greystar took over it could be turned around. But greystar drove Sonesta great to the ground.

We’ve lived here just over a year now- Julie & Jennifer do a lot of a great work in the office, and always respond to questions quickly. Maintenance requests are handled promptly, and everyone is very friendly. Units and grounds are well kept with many amenities. Lot of space to walk your dogs. Parcel lockers are a life saver. Great location- easy to get to Tempe Marketplace and campus.

DO NOT RENT HERE.... If I could give 0 starts I would have. This has to be the worst, unresponsive, rude management ( Manager is Jennifer ) I have ever talked to. Long story short weeks of emails and phone calls with no response or 2 days to respond. We were waiting for them to finish lease and apply the special they were running on Facebook and do a walk through before move in 4 days away. Move in day came and still nothing was done no one called to tell is anything so we went to the apartment to find out what was going on. Lease was not made, they no longer wanted to honor their special ( it was still being run on FB ) the door was getting painted and the apartment was no where near being ready ( floors were dirty, crayon marks on the walls, broken fridge and cabinet in bathroom, screen door ripped) No one was in a hurry to do anything about it as we sat in the office for 4 hours being ignored. They left us sitting there twice to show apartments without finishing helping us.. Management talking to eachother about their own personal problems with no concern for residents coming in or future ones. Don't be fooled they don't care about people or their job.

For the price, these apartments are alright. The interiors are well kept/repaired and updated. The grounds overall are nice, lots of trees, and grass areas for dog walking. Any work orders I have put in were taken care of quickly and correctly. If you are a person who needs a dead silent apartment, I’d recommend a third floor unit. As with any apartment, there is a fair amount of noise transference from the floor (or the two floors) above you, even from walking normally, which can cause issues that are annoying to deal with depending on who’s below you. Overall, the walking paths and amenities make up for the shortcomings. Being really close to Tempe marketplace, ASU and the freeways makes it all that much better.

Been a tenant for almost a year now. Do not let the apartment facade or their pretty counter fools you, this is not luxury living. The front desk will seem nice til you bring up some concerns and ask for legitimate answers. There are so many issues here, roaches, scorpions, bad attitudes at the front desk. I can't fit all my reviews w/ the character limit so here is the most recent: So if you're reading this you've probably seen that the gates at the complex never work properly. Today after working my 11.5 hour shift I was excited to come home to my mediocre apartment. But what am I greeted to? 3 cars backed up at gates. The gate would not open. Now there a 2 more cars behind me,people yelling from their cars, making 3-point turns almost hitting each other. I called the front desk and spoke with Denisa who right off the bat had excuses, "Oh my we put in a request", I don't care, get out there and open the gates so I can go upstairs to my over-priced 3rd floor apartment. Overall? Not worth the money. We were in a bind so we had to move here, but do yourself a favor and really search well,bc this place is not where you want to live.

When the girl at office Denise showed me the apartment she brag about Knightvest the company that is there she works for when she said they care about the people that live there and employees I thaught she has to say that but now that I’m moving there and had to do the application the whole from start was good experiences. A lot of people who showed me apartments was not friendly or did not talked good about where they work. I am so happy to move here. You have to go see the gym. I cancel my gym membership they have the bike with the trainer on screen. All new. Oh ya a lot of trees and grass. Thank you denise

I love love love how my new apartment looks and feels. It really does sparkle. The counters. I love them. The fans are like ac jets, the new modern ones. The huge sink makes me like doing dishes!! I have a pantry and storage. I can’t wait to decorate for the holidays, because I have enough space to store my decor now. I used to be a project manager assistant and when my friends come over I get so many compliments on how everything looks. I’m close to Tempe marketplace, ASU, 101, 202, and the airport. It’s pricier than what I had in mind, but I’ve never been more excited about my apartment. The people in the office actually smile and seem like they are happy people. My last apartment the office made me feel like I was a chore. Also another thing the GYM has Peleton bikes!!! Yes the one from the Super Bowl commercial. Thank you Sonesta!! Aaron and Denisa both walked me to my apartment the day I moved in. Also I have a brand new whirlpool washer dryer!!!!!

service people fix things fast.. it is clean.. quiet on Friday and Saturday night.. close to tempe marketplace 202 and 101.. I love it here. the office people always helpful and easy to talk to.. my last apartment they were stuck up and did not care.. always said to email the manager.. this place gets results always. thank you Sonesta.
I graduated in November 2018. I find some one who was willing to take over my lease. They do not allow that and they want to rip you off. If you are student or someone who may need to terminate the lease sooner. They show ZERO understanding.

I have lived here for 16 mos and moving out soon. I've had enough with all the noise and inconvenience from the constant contractor work and resealing parking lots, late night parties around the back pool on weekends going until 2am sometimes. This is way to much to pay for an apartment considering the neighborhood around here is very shady. I wish I never rented here in the first place. I've had workers hammering all weekend which finally compelled me to write this review. I've had enough.

About a month ago, I requested the repair of a drawer that fell out every time? it was opened, the repair of my screen door which no longer slid and did not shut properly, as well as the closet inside my apartment which came off the tracks after simply trying to open it one day. After requesting these fixes, I came back from vacation hoping for a fully working apartment. To my disappointment?, I came back with not one of these things being fixed, despite the response telling me that it had been dealt with. As annoying as the lack of repairs was, I got over it and knew it wouldn't affect my life that much. Things changed when a month into my lease I found myself inches away from a scorpion in my bedroom. Now I get it, scorpions are a thing that you get when you live in Arizona. But, they are not a thing I expect to get when I am paying a monthly fee for "pest control" that supposedly comes twice a week. After disposing of the scorpion, I requested that someone come spray my apartment individually to prevent other scorpions from entering my home. I came home to a signed illegible note that was to notify me that my apartment had been sprayed. I thought this would be the end. It wasn't. A few weeks later I attempted to go out on my patio. As I was opening my blinds, I looked down and noticed a huge spider at the corner of the door. At a closer look, this spider was a black widow. I should also note that my patio is also filled with other large spider webs that I am now too afraid to rid of myself due to the fear that I will get bit by a black widow. At this point, I shut the door and established my patio as forbidden. Only a week later, I saw yet another scorpion. At this point, I was fed up with the poisonous creatures that had been invading my home, and how little was being done to fix it by the complex. I walked into the office to tell them about the situation and experienced no remorse whatsoever. I was told that pest control had come the day before and that there was nothing they could do. I asked why this would still be an issue if pest control comes twice a week and the manager told me he did not know. Obviously, this was not a satisfying response for someone who had to worry about two very poisonous creatures living in their home. This apartment complex is terrible and has a manipulative and unhelpful management staff. DO NOT RENT HERE.
Would not recommend this complex to anyone! We had a scorpion and roach problem from day one and management failed numerous times to handle the situation.
After living here for more than 10 months, I would say good place if you can share your place with scorpions, bugs and cockroaches.
After living in this complex for more than 10 months, I would never recommend this place to anyone for the following reasons: 1) very bad costumer service: The misinistallation of parking block caused damage to my car and the office people refuse to take any responsibility. 2) poor maintenance: for each maintenance issue, we have to call them several times. If you have someone you know you can live with, the 2 bedroom 2 bath option is superb. Splitting rent down the middle really helps. management is friendly, and the area is quiet. Perfect for when I was a student and would live here again if my job was closer.
Have been her a long time. Perfect location. Buildings in good shape but grounds-keeping has been let go. Most of office staff is great. Most of maintenance staff is great. Neighbors are good. Noise from overhead very annoying at times. Thanks.
I have lived here for about 9 months now and it is not too bad. Although some of the inside furnishing are out dated they do the job. As a college student I needed something close to campus and affordable. They are not the best priced apartments in Tempe, but the apartment decent and management is very friendly and easy to work with.
