Located along the mouth of the Columbia River where it meets the Pacific Ocean, Astoria is a port city with a walkable, vibrant downtown, historic architecture, amazing views, and great destinations. One of those destinations predates the city itself -- Fort Astoria. The fort was established in 1811 as a fur trading post for John Astor's Pacific Fur Company. Today, a reconstructed block house and historical markers occupy the space of the former fort in Downtown Astoria at the corner of Exchange and 15th Streets.
One of Oregon's most-visited sites is located in Astoria -- the Astoria Column. Standing 600 feet above sea level, the views from the top of the column are amazing. The column itself is equally impressive, completely covered in murals celebrating historic events. The murals were done by artist Attilio Pusterla in 1926.

Property Ratings at Astoria Gateway I
I went to both properties and waited outside what I assume was the managers affine where someone was on the phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there! ( she saw I was there, when someone else came in and was speaking LOUDLY on the phone she closed the without saying one word!! ) I left and called leaving a voice mail twice never getting so much as getting a call back!! I was in property mgmt before and whether it's lower in come or not, there is such a thing as common curtesy!!!!
