Garden City is a large suburban neighborhood on the west side of Indianapolis, about four miles from Downtown. The majority of the community is covered by heavily-forested residential neighborhoods, with the vast rental market featuring a healthy mix of apartments, condos, and single-family homes. Washington Street and Rockville Road serve as busy commercial corridors, lined with chain stores and restaurants as well as locally-owned cafes and specialty shops.
Located on Lynnwood, 8 Seconds Saloon is one of the most popular nightlife hotspots on this side of the city, and often hosts concerts by touring country musicians. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is just a few blocks north of the neighborhood, giving you prime access to the city’s most famous attraction.

Property Ratings at Auburn Hills Apartments
I do not recommend these apartments to anyone!!! I use to rave about thesw apartments until I officially moved out. The leasing office and corporate is beyond rude. I received a last statement (bill) with the utility charges and miscellaneous charges. One of the charges on there was for the parking permit and key fob for the gym which I still have in my procession to this day. I called the leasing office to let her know I completely forgot to turn it in, but that I still had it and go drop it off right now. The leasing office had reminded me constantly to turn in the key, but never mentioned anything else. She was very rude stating she had already closed it out and there was nothing I could do. I understand it was on the lease contract, but who remembers everything when you are in the process of moving. The least Auburn Hill apartments could have done was provided me a courtesy call before charging me over $300 for a parking permit & key fob. I then proceeded to call corporate Urbahns Developement to express my frustrations and experience. I can’t believe how that lady handled my concerns!! I literally explained to her the situation with no attitude or rudeness what so ever and she literally interrupts me and says “she (leasing lady) didn’t have to, I’m not about to do this with you.” Then tried to gas light me into saying I said things that I did not say to her. Wow I’ve never had someone from upper management be so rude and careless about an issue. I will be contacting the BBB. I do not recommend these apartments any longer. They are money hungry. A 5 minute courtesy call to a loyal resident could have made all the difference.
Captious leasing staff with pedantic communication. Save your money and go to another apartment complex. Limited parking space (all visitor spaces were taken when I drove by thrice). Once approved, we called the office to speak with someone about steps to add an additional occupant but to no avail. When we requested to schedule a call within their 24-hour deposit due date timeframe and to add an additional occupant, we were told to communicate via email. When we mentioned our concern about the lack of staff availability via phone, we were told that we " need to leave a voicemail as our phones ring all day long especially during summer months." Overall, the combination of a 24-hour deposit submission two months prior to move-in and the lack of helpful customer service threw us off. It was as if trying to communicate to unprofessional, inexperienced leasing representatives with the knack for passive-aggressive email responses that go so far as to impressing their fellow colleagues and friends circle. It was pathetic and exhausting.
This apartment was much better until the last management changes, post which it has become a nightmare to deal with them for anything be it any service or repair. Property manager/folks have no experience in dealing with resident and looks very unprofessional. The feels as if they are here for enforcing policies but not to provide an experience to the residents. you would experience terrible service if you deal with apartment management for anything. I hope you can find a better place than this.............. this would probably my last choice.
I just renewed here for a second year! I love the small private community and the amenities offered. The staff is always so friendly and I love that they seem to know all their residents by name!! Would definitely recommend living here!!!

I've lived at Auburn Hill for the past 4 years and my partner and I have always felt safe & happy here. Our dog loves walking the small neighborhood, the pool is great in summer, and the staff are friendly. Wish the public laundry & gym were a little bigger, but overall it's a great place to live.

Thank you for choosing Auburn Hill Apartments! We mean it when we say we love our pet friends! Your feedback is truly appreciated! - Auburn Hill Management
I have a big list of bitter shocking experiences in this apartment. 1.your car from parking will be towed and fined even though you are a legal resident 2.swimming pool always filled with outsiders 3. Gym restrooms always closed/locked 4.several rules imposed on the people who stay in apartments 5. Refer friend program is a fake program they will say 300$ but at the end will show you $0 6. Security deposit $300 will never return as they blind promise. 7. In the end, you will get a big shock after vacating home there 23 types of damages fees collected from you without proper reason. END of the story I will never recommend anyone to at least see this

I rented an apartment from this place for 1 year. My ac unit broke 3 times and my heater broke twice, the apartment always had a damp dingy smell so I moved out. Upon moving out I was told that they don't walk the apartments unless you schedule an appointment at least 2 week prior to moving out. This is no where in any documents. Then they kept my security deposit and never provided any proof of why they were keeping my money. I was told by the office manager that if I had a problem with it I can get an attorney because they keep one on retainer year round just for this reason.

I moved to Auburn Hill almost a year ago and I can say that I absolutely love it here. I am an IUPUI student and it is a very simple drive to campus. It usually takes me about 10 minutes or less to get to class and is a very central location to downtown and to Plainfield and Avon. It is also right off the 465 which is also very convenient when needing to get to the interstate. I love this area and the office staff has also been so friendly and accommodating. I have a lot of friends that live out here as well but the residents that I have met have always been so friendly and will never hesitate to wave or ask me how my day is going. I like Auburn Hill so much because it feels like a home and a community and I plan on renewing my lease for another year until I graduate. Thank you Auburn Hill for giving me a cozy place to call home for the time being :)

I, as well as my roommate, in a two bedroom apartment here. We enjoyed living in this apartment all year. Toward the end of our lease, we let the front desk know that we were not returning for the next year due to moving home to start out careers right out of college. Not only were they upset at us that we were not returning, they also took out their frustration as they became rude and impatient with us. As we were preparing to move out completely, we scrubbed the kitchen, bathrooms, and vaccumed the apartment. Truthfully, we left the apartment cleaner than it was when we moved in. We were then charged for leaving the apartment unclean. We believe this is just another rude move by the front office. Again, our time there was great, but I would not recommend living here unless the front office employees change.

Thank you for sharing your review! We are happy to hear that you are (were) enjoying your experience at Auburn Hill.
I have been living here for four months. Nothing but good things too say so far! Neighborhood is quite, and neighbors stay to themselves. Office staff is nice and courteous. Had some things to fix in the apartment like a closet off track and a tub not draining properly, but the office took care of it within a few days! No compliance whatsoever.
