The University District, affectionately dubbed the U District, is home to the preeminent University of Washington. Lending historic architecture and blooming cherry blossoms in the spring, the University of Washington contains a range of gardens, galleries, and theaters in addition to sports complexes and a medical center.
Should you choose to rent in the U District, you will have the opportunity to bike the Burke-Gilman trail, kayak Union and Portage Bays, savor cocktails and a film at Sundance Cinemas, swing by the Saturday Farmers Market, celebrate touchdowns at Husky Stadium, check out the independent restaurants and funky shops along the Ave, and attend the annual U District StreetFair.
The U District sits about five miles north of Downtown Seattle, with convenience to Green Lake Park, Woodland Park Zoo, the Fremont Troll, and Gas Works Park.

Property Ratings at Augusta Apartments
The management staff and maintenance staff are nice. Quick actions and politely. It would be perfect if I can receive some notifications by phone or message before they come for maintenance, especially emergencies during night. It’s scary when people knock at your door during midnight without notification in advance. Generally, I’d like to recommend Augusta to my friends.

Hi, Thank you for your kind words about our team and for recommending us. We appreciate your suggestion about notifications before maintenance visits, especially during the night. We always strive to improve our services based on your feedback. Please feel free to visit our office to discuss this further. Kind regards, The Augusta Apartments Management Team
Good overall and nice people, but building security is lax with a homeless encampment nearby.

Hi, Thank you for your kind words. We strive to create a welcoming and caring environment for all our residents. Your positive feedback is truly appreciated. Kind regards, The Augusta Apartments Management Team
The security in this building is deplorable and the management team has stated in no uncertain terms their disinterest in taking any proactive measures to rectify this. That includes the bike storage locker, parking garage, and the building entrance, even after thefts have occurred and unwanted guests have found their way inside. Also, when one tenant exhibits poor judgement (taking toilet paper from the community bathrooms) the entire building loses the “privilege” of the common area bathrooms. It’s abundantly clear that the management company does not care about the tenants who live here, pay rent, and actually take care of the spaces. Hence why everyone I speak with, has no intention of renewing their lease, my family included.

Thank you to the amazing maintenance staff, unfortunately have had a few issues with my apartment, specifically the lock and I allowed them to enter without me being home because I trust them due to their previous professionalism. Thank you for your help and for making me not worry about anything in my apartment. In addition, thank you to the maintenance staff and the leasing staff for always being so positive and friendly. It makes me so happy! -Anna F

Hello, What a sweet shout out to our hardworking maintenance team! Thanks for the recognition. We'll definitely keep up the five-star experience. Kind regards, The Augusta Apartments Management Team
The day we moved into Augusta Apartments was our first day in Seattle. We didn't know much about places to the live in the city when we signed our lease, but after living here for over half a year, we feel very lucky that we ended up in Augusta. The apartment and grounds have exceeded our expectations, the location is very convenient, and the management here is excellent. Every apartment in this neighborhood will share similar issues like crime, but Augusta seems better than the competition in the area.
Amazing place to live, as soon as there is any sort of issue with safety they solve it and try to prevent any issues from happening. Most of the staff is amazing and sweet. During any sort of holidays they do activities and scavenger hunts for prizes which is so nice. Getting my packages is very easy and I never worry about theft. Great place to live.
Excellent Community Great Leasing Office Individuals Friendly Maintenance Person
Quiet, with wonderful views of the water and mountain, university is just around the corner!
Best management ever. For the holidays they decorate and make it feel like home. Whenever I need help the office is always open, someone is always available to help. The package security gives me a peace of mind. The upkeep is always above and beyond never have to worry about theft, one of the best and safest places to live at.
Nice apartment and amenities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Built in air conditioning was really helpful on hot days. Parking availability though is not great.

I am very impressed that the team has put lot of efforts in maintenance, in different celebrations( I loved Christmas celebration last year) and we have received fast solutions to our problem. Management team is excellent!

Hello, Thank you for your feedback and post. We are so glad that you are happy in your home and enjoying the beautiful community. Kind regards, Augusta Apartments Management Team
I worked with Tony and Michelle and it was superb. They were very responsive and told me everything as it is and definitely gained my trust throughout the process. I wasnt able to tour in person but they made me very comfortable with my decision even before seeing my new apartment. Upon arrival everything was great. This community is very clear and feels very comfortable. The apartment layouts are well thought out and the closet and storage space is generous.

Hello, Awesome feedback! Wow, we are so excited to hear how responsive and helpful the team was throughout the touring process. We welcome you home and are glad that you are having a wonderful experience. With appreciation, Augusta Apartments Management Team
Clean, spacious apartments with tons of great amenities. Apartments are high quality. They are not cheaply made, unlike some of the other ones in the area that appear nice on the outside but are flimsy on the inside. Take a tour and see for yourself. Cabinets and drawers in the kitchen have silencing mechanism to reduce slamming noise. Blinds are pull down and nylon. On apartments that tend to overheat (those facing the east) an air conditioner is included in the apartment. Designers definitely had consumers in mind when building these apartments. Aside from apartment quality, sense of community is promoted as well. Goodies are given out during the holidays to every resident, and birthday cards with a gift card too.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback. We are so very glad that you are loving the clean, spacious apartment and that the team is always so welcoming. Thanks again! Best regards, Augusta Apartments Management Team
There are lots of nice details that you don't get in most apartment buildings (top of the line cabinets and fixtures, full size washer/dryer, etc). A pretty good package delivery system. Good sound insulation. A programmable Thermostat. Responsive maintenance. The gym is as good as an apartment gym gets. Very professional management. The minor downsides are - Price (Though I believe it's a good value) - Parking spaces are pretty tight. - There isn't much in the way of restaurants/bars/groceries in the immediate vicinity compared to other places in the U district. You've got to walk a few several blocks to get to the good stuff.
Compared to other apartments, the effort of all staff to handle questions and repair requests at a high speed is superior.
Property Manager at Augusta Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide your valued feedback. It makes us so glad to hear how responsive and efficient the team is! All the best, Augusta Apartments Management Team
Building itself and maintenance is great. New management team is not doing their job professionally. Terrible management now. Previous manager would have been nicer. One of conflict was parking. The building has limited space and management failed in managing big cars to bigger spaces and smaller cars to 'compact' spaces. 1. Moved in in July 2017, assigned to a parking spot initially. Didn't like it, requested to change, but only compact spaces were available. So I moved to slightly better compact space. 2. Requested in writing and verbally to notify me when 'normal' parking space is available in August 2017. Staff mentioned that there was nobody in line, and will let me know asap. 3. New manager came in, checked back in Feb 2018 whether any spaces become available soon. (Apartment opened in March 2017 and people tend to sign lease for a year so I was waiting till Fed 2018) Manager tells me "we are aware, list is on, please wait". 4. Checked back in Mar 2018, staff (whom I talked back in July 2017) tells me he didn't know I was wanting a new space, waiting list became available after new manager came in, forgot about my case, and will put my name down. 5. New spaces become available, new residents move in, still no update or communication from the office. The quality of amenities and maintenance is great, but the manager who manages the building is ruining it's living experience. I hope Greystar, the company who owns the property does a better job in educating managers how to handle issues and communicate with residents professionally.
