The fully upgraded apartment had missing washer/dryer (and still haven't received), light fixtures, clogged drains, and left over mini fridge in the outdoor closet. All of which have not been addressed for over a month since living here. I'm very disappointed in this apartment, however, i read the reviews before and hand took the risk just because i wanted more space than another apartment i was looking at. I recommend staying away from Aurella Cary and look elsewhere.
We really tried to be patient with these people but our patience reached its limit! Management is just bad. They are still charging us for their renters insurance when we have already showed proof that we have our own. I have emailed them but they dont answer. Early this year, we asked how much we were to pay to break the lease and they said 5 months!! Cant wait for our lease to be over!!!!
We moved because some raccoons entered the apartment and destroyed my furniture, now the boss does not want to give us compensation for damages because we broke the contract
This apartment complex is by far the worst place you could hope to live. From the office staff to the parking lot, from the walkways to the apartments this place is nothing short of a dumpster fire. They use all the money you're overpaying for rent to do nothing serviceable for the tenants they just continue to redo the offices in the front that looks like a 4th grader designed it, the gym has no A/C and the pool is always closed. The office personnel is never around and maintenance lets orders go for at minimum a month or 2. The grounds look like trash. But the good news is you get pets! that's right free of charge you get Roaches, silver fish, spiders and an assortment of all other insects that like to come spend time with you in your home. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy
I've watched helplessly as cockroaches have infested my apartment. Management has been apathetic at best. With the roaches came spiders, and I'm not talking sweet little house spiders; I have found multiple black widows in my apartment since the cockroaches invaded. Our pest control shows up maybe once every three months, sprays the baseboards and says we need something more extreme to deal with the problem, then we hear nothing for months again. Some stairways are rickety and rotten. We have to fight for every maintenence request, over and over, for anything to get done. We just had a building burn down and it was revealed after that they failed a safety inspection shortly before; including fire extinguishers that hadn't been serviced in years! Despite having safety concerns and violations exposed by the press after the fire we still had to fight tooth and nail to get them to address a simple safety concern and easy fix. They advertise having multiple pet stations and even a dog park, but the pet stations are neglected and overflowing with refuse and the dog park isn't usable as the gate is destroyed. Do NOT move here.
I currently live in a roach infested unit with black mold, and no one is helping me. Don't like here.
They have huge roaches all over the place. No matter how much you clean, bomb, or bug spray the apartment they keep having bugs. The management team is horrible. If something goes wrong with an appliance it takes about 3-6 months for them them attempt to look at it. They wait to cut the grass until it’s knee length and they barely have bags at the stations to clean up after your pet. I don’t recommend!!
Been trying to get an apartment here for 3 weeks and I’ve called 5x a day everyday and yet still have not talked to someone whatsoever . Poorly managed !
This place is BY FAR the WORST apartment complex I have EVER had the misfortune to rent. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS! They are not lying about the #1 problem of the non-existent maintenance, your apt would need to be on fire or flooded out for them to show up for ANY service call. #2 The pest control, basically share your apt with bugs of all kinds roaches, spiders etc. #3 The upkeep of these apartments (or should I say LACK thereof) is horrible including but NOT limited to; masonry work, flooring, carpet, cabinets and the list goes on and on. #4 Their fake attitudes at their office when they have NO INTENT to actually do ANYTHING about your issues with their property. #5 The grounds keeping leaves A LOT to be desired and mud washing out walk-ways. #6 The external appearance of the apartment buildings with trash everywhere spider webs in every crevice etc. Basically the ONLY reason I am giving it 1 star is because you cannot give it zero or in my humble opinion, minus stars. If you are foolish enough to rent an apartment at this complex, you will most definitely regret signing the lease! Buyer's remorse X-100000! My advice is to KEEP LOOKING because short of living under a bridge is what this place has to offer. Bank on it!
i could go on and on about the reasons why this place sucks, roach infestation, absolutely no maintenance at all, trust me if something breaks it wont get fixed. our AC has been broken for 6 months now, most of our outlets dont work, warped drawers/shelves, etc. i could go on and on.... this place seriously needs to get shut down. do not live here. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!

The office never answers the phone. The staff don't wear masks when interacting with tenants. Nothing gets fixed for months. It took months to get my air conditioning replaced. I've had an open work order for over a month to fix half of my outlets and to get a sink unclogged.

When we went for the walk through it seemed like a nice place and everyone seemed so caring and inviting in the office. Don't let that fool you. When we moved in the apartment was not cleaned and had to remove former tennant's trash. The complex did not even offer anything off our first month's rent because of this either. Not to mention the unit was not as nice as the one we were shown. The rest of the first year was pretty uneventful so when it was time to renew the lease we did because we didn't want to have to look around during the pandemic. Things have gone down hill since. The AC has been out since early June. Still not fixed and it is September. We get charges on our bill for internet and cable that we did not sign up for and when I sent an email about it, I never heard anything back from the office. We continue to get charges. It has gotten to the point where we have left messages and emails and no one gets back to us. When you call the office no one answers the phone. Very disappointed.

I read reviews prior to moving and but was pleased when I did my walk through that I chose to ignore them. The first month started off good until the second month I started to notice more problems. Please listen to the reviews and do not make the same mistake as I have. The bugs, how they prioritize to resolve issues are all true. I have had a leak in my bathroom for going on two weeks and have to practically harass management everyday with still nothing done. The pest control comes out to spray for bugs but there has to be another way they can prevent whats outside from coming in, nobody just wanted to take the time to do so! Also my air has went out during summer time, in a house with small children and this is my third day waiting on someone to come look at whats wrong. I am new to this area so I did not know much about it but I am strongly regretting this decision and will definitely be looking into a more effective way to break my lease because this is not happy living.

The units are nothing like the pictures online. They are gross and unclean when you move in. Over the past 11 months here we have had an extreme pest problem that we have said something to the staff many times. They have said that it is unavoidable because we live in a “wooded area” and that if they close up the holes where the bugs are “they will find a new place to go”. We have also mentioned to the staff that we have smelled sewer gas in the bathroom ever since they installed a new toilet. We did not have hot water in our shower for several months as well that did not get fixed despite filling out several maintenance requests, I fixed it myself. I would not recommend living here at all. ALSO you pay for trash valet and you end up taking your own trash!
