Property Ratings at Austin Place Apartments
My experience at Austin Place Apartments has been nothing short of terrible. The management and communication are the worst I’ve ever encountered. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a significant issue with bugs and roaches. Despite reporting this, I was forced to pay a pest control fee, only to be hit with a fine six months after moving out, despite being told the apartment was clean and in good condition. The management’s response time is unacceptable. They claimed to have sent an email stating the place was filthy, but my roommate and I spent two full days cleaning and sanitizing the apartment before moving out. Additionally, I repeatedly asked for a copy of the lease and never received it. When I inquired about getting our deposit back, I was told they needed to inspect the apartment and get back to me, which they never did. Living here was a constant headache due to the ridiculous fees and mismanagement. They even posted eviction notices on our door multiple times that were meant for other people, causing unnecessary stress and confusion. Despite never paying rent late or causing any problems, we were treated with disrespect. I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise against living here. If you do live here, consider moving out as soon as possible. The management is unresponsive, and the fees are exorbitant. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for housing.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Since I moved in (August 2020), management has changed 3 times. And each time they have progressively gotten worse. Our dishwasher was leaking for over two months, I continued to file maintenance requests and instead got the comment that maybe we just don’t know how to use it correctly. Nobody in the office cares whatsoever about the tenants, except they want to continue raising the rent when they cannot get anything done for us. Basically Austin Place is a JOKE. Mine and my boyfriends car both have been broken into. When mentioned to the office, they said we were the only ones this has happened to. Everyone in the office then acted very shady. Stay away!!!!!!
The new property management team especially property manager is extremely rude and does not care for their residents no matter how long you have been living there. Three of my vehicles have been broken into and personal items stolen like my passport. I reported it to management and their response was it was happening in other communities too. Also when I moved out charged me over a thousand dollars to replace a carpet with one single stain on it which on the moving paperwork they provide states costs $50 to fix. They unreasonable and I urge future residents to not move there at all. They are terrible!!!
Realmente desde q cambio de administración el lugar no funciona igual!! El personal es de muy mala educación! No tienen empatía por los inquilinos q tienen su cuentas al día,son muy injustos con los residentes! El mantenimiento es muy pobre!! Realmente no recomiendo este lugar a nadie! Busque en otro lugar y se evitará un dolor de cabeza con esta administración!! Q realmente no sirve!! No dire nada más porq no voy a desgastar mi tiempo!! Solo quiero a ayudar a otros con mi comentario para q no pasen por lo q yo pase!! Gracias a Dios ya no estoy en este lugar!!
Recently changed management and they do not care for their tenants. The new owners came in under false pretenses(I’ve been working from home due to the pandemic) they stated it was an annual inspection which is why they were going through all the apartments, mind you I’ve lived here since they were built and this was the first year (out of 3) so that’s a lie. The exterior lights, lights to the clubhouse, model unit, and pool are distributed among the tenants and they do not turn them off when they leave. The power went out two weeks ago and due to the pandemic a bunch of people are working from home I was panicked when I went down to ask about it and they had a nonchalant attitude and said they were going to make the call but offered no solace. On top of it they’ve been working on the pool for the past two weeks and still haven’t gotten it up and running - again I work from home and watch them “work” on it. They could definitely hire a person to “fix” it but they really don’t care. If I knew management was changing I definitely wouldn’t have resigned my lease. (Changed in April 2021) and there are surcharges now related with paying rent and just a bunch of crap to be honest. Oh and I forgot but my car was broken into last year.
Cars get broken into left and right and the office Staff is extremely rude and just simply doesn’t care about their residents. Move elsewhere to avoid a headache.

There have been a crazy number of break ins and there has been 0 response. Car windows and trunks have been smashed (3 in the past week), garages are broken into. The apartments are nice with nice neighbors but as of now there is 0 security. Poor lighting, no guard, no gates, NO CAMERAS, nothing. It is a major problem so reconsider safety on your priority list. I will update if any action is taken.
