Fircrest features moderately to upscale apartment complexes and single-family houses in quiet subdivisions. The neighborhood has several parks, good schools, and access to plenty of amenities. Mill Plain Boulevard, Fircrest’s southern border, is filled with restaurants, grocers, stores, and other businesses, but residents appreciate being near larger commercial hubs like Vancouver Mall, which is just five miles away. Property Ratings at Autumn Chase
The management staff truly does not care about its Residents. They are completely unavailable to discuss issues with. They are never in the leasing office and do not return voice mails or emails. I would not recommend anyone choose this complex as their home. In addition to the poor management, the complex is unkempt and maintenance requests take weeks to resolve. Horrible property, you get what you B pay for at Autumn Chase.
This place is untrustworthy, nowhere to park, unstable. I deeply regret moving here.

We are so sorry you feel this way. Parking can be less-than-ideal at times and we apologize for any inconvenience it causes. With that said, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience. We'd love the opportunity to improve your experience. Best regards.
Autumn Chase apartment complex and Vancouver, Washington has got to be the worst apartment experience application ever. I have a plied Autumn Chase early July and was working with the girls in the office for about three months with my section 8 was never approved for an apartment I never received a letter of intent but still provided a $300 to hold the unit of my choice that I was going to be qualified for and I had to wait 21 days for collection agency to populate a receipt because I have paid $5000 to a collection agency in Tampa Florida and then after further extensive research they say that I was still denied after the third attempt of application process and then they would give me back my $300 hold the unit fee check in which I was never approved for in the first place but yet they said I had 72 hours to confirm that I still wanted the unit or I had would have to basically forfeit my $300 the worst experience ever and then The complex That said that I owed money decided to take me in in full arms without a rental history. Don’t ever apply at autumn Chase because their communication is very very poor I wouldn’t suggest it to the worst of my enemy.

One of the girl working there gave an attitude after we decided to cancel. How embarrassing. I’m sorry that we found a better place, but if you show that kind of professionalism, you would be working at a front desk forever. Good luck in your future!

I actually have never reviewed something online, but wanted to make sure people could see what my family went through. I will try to make this short and to the point. To start, we had damage in our apartment that never got fixed. Second, we had constant maintenance issues that Autumn would take their time on fixing. On top of that, the guy that would normally repair these items had no clue what he was doing, we even had electrical items hooked up wrong, that actually ended up being a fire hazard! My wife had brought this incident to the offices attention, which then my wife was continually stared down by this maintenance man every time he saw her on the property. Autumn does not enforce the dog policy and the service dog excuse is not why there are so many dogs on property. My wife was actually attacked by our neighbors dog that was not suppose to be on the premises, which ended up being five thousand dollars in medical bills. Safety is a huge problem at this complex in so many ways, we have had drug attics hanging by my daughters window at night, drug dealer situations in the park area, and not to forget, constant prostitution from the motels nearby. If you have any concern for your safety and your families safety, I would definitely reconsider Autumn Chase apartments. And to end our stay at Autumn Chase, the assistant manager made sure and gave us a huge six hundred dollar plus bill after telling me if I patched the picture holes we wouldn't get charged anything. After venting some of my frustrations to this assistant manager without any vulgar language etc, she just flipped out and told me to leave. I tried to call the manager to speak with him and she constantly would hang the phone up so I could not speak with him. This is the most unprofessional and unsafe complex I have lived in.

we’re disheartened to learn about the obstacles that prevented you and your family from fully enjoying your home. We’re dedicated to finding the best residents we can for our excellent community but understand that accommodating the diverse lifestyles of all our members can lead to inconveniences and miscommunications. If our residents believe their neighbors are violating our community policies or breaking the law, we encourage them to let us and local law enforcement know so the situation can be addressed as quickly as possible. We apologize for any discomfort your family experienced during your stay and would welcome another opportunity to improve your perception of our community. We request that you reach out to the office directly if you would like to discuss your feedback in more detail. Moving forward with your review in mind, we will continue striving towards excellence in our resident care and wish your family the best in your future endeavors.
That is the only good thing about this place. Horrible, unprofessional office staff.

There's positives and negatives in apartment living. Some positives so far in my experiences is that the staff is friendly and helpful so far in my short time living here. I like that the apartment complex is near by shopping, groceries, food and drinks, etc. I'm only a single person living in a complex so I haven't had any issues yet with dealing with car ports and spaces. Unfortunately one of the bigger negatives that come with apartment living is that some neighbors are not considerate of other people living below them. The neighbors above me are very noisy. I hear them stomp on the ground back and forth and makes it worse is that it goes on up until 1030pm for most nights. I have to get up early for work and it makes it very tough to get a good night's sleep when all you're hearing is stomping above. I politely asked the apartment staff if they can do a courtesy call to please have them quiet it down. Didnt seem like it worked. I hate to be that neighbor that annoys my neighbors above me by repeatedly asking for them to quiet down.

Unprofessional and untimely. The maintenance crew is incredibly slow and unprofessional. My first maintenance request was for my bathroom door that had literally fallen out of the framework. The holes for the screws had become too large and would not hold the door up any longer. The maintenance crew just put the door back up and now it hangs halfway out of the frame. The maintenance team took 3 weeks to fulfill another request I had made. I had to make numerous requests to have my dishwasher drain line unclogged. The maintenance crew did not believe the drain line was clogged and took away my brand new dishwasher that came with my unit and replaced it with a half functioning old dishwasher that they had in storage. I had to call maintenance back in because the dishwasher was still flooding. They eventually found the clog that I had said was there. I never received my original dishwasher back and the maintenance team never properly installed the replacement dishwasher. Upon use of the replacement dishwasher, it would rattle and try to shake out of the place in the counter that the dishwasher belonged in. Upon moving out, I had scheduled a final walkthrough via e-mail with the apartment manager, Caren Hill. The walk through was scheduled on a holiday as suggested by Caren due to maintenance not being available on Sundays. Caren scheduled my final walk through on 05/28/18 at 4pm. I arrived to Autumn Chase for my final walk through at 3:40pm. I was told by the other staff members that they could absolutely not do a final walk through because Caren had told them that they could leave at 4pm. I told them that Caren is the one who had scheduled this for me and the staff did not care at all. They told me that I could come back another day. I do not have an accommodating schedule to just show up whenever the staff at Autumn Chase wants me to. I had to do a final walk through by myself and take photos as evidence of how I left the apartment complex. I do not recommend living at Autumn Chase.

we are sorry to see you were left with a negative perception of your time here and regret that your experience was anything less than five stars. Our maintenance crew works hard to ensure everything within our homes and around the community is up-to-date and in working order. Given the size of our community, maintenance work must be prioritized by level of severity and order in which the request was received. We appreciate all residents' patience as we work through any pending requests and encourage any current resident waiting on the fulfillment of a work order to check on the status of their request through our online resident portal or by giving the office a call. We apologize for the miscommunication regarding the time of your walk-through and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Although you no longer call our community home, we do prefer to leave things on a positive note. You're welcome to give the office a call or drop by if you have any lingering concerns or questions that you'd like us to address. Thank you for sharing this feedback with us. We wish you luck in your future endeavors.
These apartments are so overpriced considering the trash that lives here. I can't wait for my lease to be up. The staff is horrible and could careless about any issues you have. If you get home after 1:00pm plan on parking by the nasty motels. I feel that my car was actually safer in front of the shady motels than in the parking lot because my car has been broken into multiple times and I have many dents from the lovely neighborhoods who hit my car and just take off. Many people here have people who are not on the lease living with them. These people cannot be on the lease because they have criminal backgrounds. The staff could careless about your personal property and don't want to be bothered with the fact that they allow these people to live there. Plan on having a spare pair of shoes to wear strictly for walking to your car because no one picks up after their dog. There are also not so friendly dogs that owners allow to just run wild. The lease says s that they have very strict breed restrictions but they do not enforce them what so ever. If you want to live in a trashy community with drug dealers and sex offenders autumn chase is the perfect place for you. The worst apartment I have ever lived in.
Property Manager at Autumn Chase, Responded To This Review
We're deeply disturbed to receive such a negative portrayal of our community. Though we do our best to provide as many spots as possible, we are limited to the space we have available and thus, cannot always guarantee a parking spot. We can assure you that every resident of this community goes through the same rigorous application process. We do our best to keep our grounds clean, though we also rely on residents to clean up after their pets and alert us of any problem areas. Based on your review, we feel that your concerns are best handled offline, please call our office to set up a time to meet with our team. Thank you.
They are beautiful apartments. However, after living in apartments my whole life I have realized that the staff will have a huge impact on your daily life. The staff at Autumn Chase apartments are very uninterested in your thoughts until you get excited about how well polished the apartments are. A little peace of advice, don't give them that advantage. They see your excitement and raise the price almost instantly. After we took the time to look at the apartment, apply, pay to put it on hold, and come back it had raised by $105.00. If you can afford their greed and an apathetic staff doesn't make you feel uncomfortable then these apartments are great for you! Spoiler alert, my boyfriend and are still looking for nice apartments. Good luck everyone!

Though we appreciate your feedback, we're saddened to receive such a negative portrayal of our community. We hold our team members to the highest level of customer service and we sincerely apologize if your experience did not match our standards. Though we understand your frustrations with our prices, we carefully researched the local market and are confident that our rates are fair for our offerings. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss these concerns in further detail, please reach out to our office; we look forward to helping improve your stay. Thank you.
These apartments look absolutely stunning from the outside. We toured the complex and was shown a STAGED apartment, which was really nice. Once we signed the lease (which is over 60 pages long) and got the keys, we quickly realized the apartment we just agreed to looked completely different and was dingy, dirty and smelled of cat urine. While they had "remodeled" the kitchen, the carpets were soaked with mud from the maintenance staff. They buy a cheap type of carpet that hides a lot of the dirt. I really like my carpets to be clean, so I steam cleaned them several times, collecting black mud every pass. I now find that I need to do this a few times a month because the carpet mud is very, very deep. Additionally, our apartment smells like cat urine and we leave on an air purifier all day to rid the smell. Now, on to maintenance. Our dryer had some issues when we moved in, but we've adjusted to its quirks. The ceiling fan broke within a few months and the dishwasher also died a few months into our lease. We've put in a work order and over a month later, our dishwasher is still broken. We've also come to meet some really great neighbors and friends in the area who've told us that the maintenance staff has been known to steal things from apartments--plan on taking days off work to hang out at home all day, waiting for the maintenance staff to arrive (which is not a sure thing). Utilities here, save for electricity and internet, are shared among your building. You can be as conservative with your water usage as you'd like, but your utilities bill will still go up if your neighbors are more liberal with their usage. There are other fees with vague descriptions you'll need to pay, for services you might not even utilize here. The leasing staff are just that-- they're here to make sales. There's usually only one person in the office, and you'll need to wait for them to finish an apartment showing before you can be helped. A lot of people are there to pay their rent, pick up a package or put in a work order, but given that there's only one person there, the wait can be quite frustrating. The 'be back at [given time]' sign is deceiving, as the agent may be out for the rest of the day. While the people around here are very nice and friendly, the management of these apartments is very poor. For what you'll end up paying to live here in addition to poor management, I would definitely look elsewhere.
Autumn Chase has kept the Northwest flavor by maintaining 500 large fir trees on the property making it feel very close to nature despite being in the city. Other complexes are barren of large old trees which makes Autumn Chase unusual. The complex is a 10 minute drive to Portland ,Oregon and walking distance to major shopping and bus lines. Very dog friendly also and all the dogs are so well behaved! Fitness area and outdoor pool make it a great all round apartment home! Love it here!
Located just off Mill Plain and just a few blocks from Fred Meyers, Elmers Restaurant, and other shops. Access to SR 14 and I 205 is nearby. Pet friendly with a 2 pet limit, upon approval of management. Common area includes play area for children, swimming pool and workout room. We are pleased with our apartment. It was freshly painted. Includes wood burning stove. Kitchen, dining area, and living room flooring is linoleum styled to look like wood. Each apartment has one assigned covered parking space and access to unassigned spaces where we may also park. Single garages are available for a fee. In each of our 2 bedrooms have a full bathroom and small patio or balcony. One of our bedroom has a walk-in closet. Cable and internet is available. We requested a repair of washer/dryer (full size) and these were fixed the next day. No central AC; however, our apartment is shaded by trees and has been comfortable.
I have lived at Autumn Chase for over a year, and apart from some minor annoyances have been very happy. I have lived in many apartments in the Portland area, and while this one certainly isn't the cheapest, it is one of the best. They do a fantastic job keeping the community looking nice. The landscaping is always in tip-top shape. The pool is a nice place to relax. People are almost always respectful & quiet. I like the layout of my apartment. I have 10 windows in 750 square feet so it's nice & light. I have only two small complaints: the bedroom needs a fan & I need more kitchen counter space. I love the location, Cascade Park is very close & it's super easy to zip across the 205 bridge to go to the airport. Getting anywhere in Vancouver, north Portland, or on the Eastside is fast & easy.
