Property Ratings at Autumn Crest
Autumn Crest us an excellent place to live, its quiet, and a very easy commute to different stores, including Columbia Mall. No complaints, staff always welcome you with a smile.
Unit layout is decent and prices are relatively high if you're single, however in the few years of living here I've encountered few issues - primarily the noise and irritation from other people who live here.... You'll have certain types of "people" always yell-talking at each other or on their cell phones or blasting music on their cell phone in common areas. It's not uncommon that people are blasting terrible music in their cars loud enough to shake your building either, and of course all of this on top of the loud music coming from the events at the lake across the highway or even Merriweather - primarily an issue only during the summer. There are also quite a few children that live here who seem to have nothing to do during the summer either, so they like to get in the way of parking lot traffic, dribble basket balls or play-fight each other in common areas as well. Management seems to take noise complaints seriously, but at some point you will need to yell at someone yourself or call the police. There are quite a few old people living here as well. Emergency services show up weekly so hopefully your car won't be blocked in for long. The final gripe is the entrances off of Stevens Forest Road aren't smooth, every time you pull in it's incredibly jarring unless you're going 1 MPH - unsure if this is something they'd be allowed to fix but I mentioned it when i first moved in and they couldn't do anything other than agree it was an issue.
AUTUMN CREST apartment is an excellent place to live, great community and great people too. Staff is always friendly..It is also located where you have access to things and places you need and want to go..BRAVO!!! GRADY MANAGEMENT...
I cannot complain. Overall pretty good. Only complaint was the snow removal in the parking lot. It was pretty hard getting in and out after that first snow fall. Maintenance comes within a day or two. Never had an issue with the office staff. Likes and suggestions: Relatively quiet
The staff in the leasing office is great. Everyone is very personable and helpful. Anytime I've needed something repaired it was handled right away. I guess my biggest complaint would be the solicitation/fliers constantly left on my door from all the competing businesses. But that's minor compared to everything else you are getting in return. Likes and suggestions: What I like most about this community is that it's family friendly. There are a lot of schools and other local attractions near by, to include parks and convenient stores. The apartments are older but they are a steal for the price and space in this area. The local mall is less than 15 minutes away. And there is a grocery store within walking distance. I also love the fact it's military friendly here.
I like that it is nestled in a location that is convenient to the mall, stores, bus line with scenic views of the lights near the mall and the concert pavilion.
very peacefull place to live, the staff and the maintanance team is helpful on time.
I think you get the most for your buck here at Autumn Crest. In the past I've researched other apt. complexes in the area and they were no comparison to what Autumn Crest has to offer.I've been living in this complex almost 20 years. Having moved once to another building to downsize... but I'm equally if not more satisfied. Likes and suggestions: I like that community is quite and the natural beauty of the area is great all year around.
Great front office team, they really made it easy for me with options. I am very new to the area and the property, thus far I'm happy with my choice. Likes and suggestions: Community location is great for me
Not energy efficient at all. Stays warm through the winter, but the a/c is only rated to cool it 15 degrees. Since summer of 2013 regularly saw temperatures in the 90s, that meant the a/c was running nonstop, barely keeping it around 80 degrees, and our electric bill tripled. There are idiots with loud mufflers, or who sit outside and talk late into the night, keeping you awake, and the occasional concert at Merriweather, but overall, it's a decent place. Likes and suggestions: It is centrally located- you get get to Snowden River Parkway, 175, 100, 29, and 32 within 5 minutes or less. It is safe and family-friendly; we do not feel threatened or uneasy walking, playing, or just hanging out here.
Love that there is ample room for pets and my neighbors are quite friendly. Likes and suggestions: I love the fact that its close to my job. Diane in the office is always so helpful and kind. When we have had issues the team have always responded quickly. Its so quiet. A great place to stay.
There are NO amenities for adults. Likes and suggestions: Building layout makes for kess noise. Grounds nicely kept. Staff and msintenance people are great!
New parking policy is restrictive. The solution is to use the food lion parking lot if you have visitors. Oddly, that is where they want the people who the new policy is designed to keep out to park. Likes and suggestions: Large space and great location for the money. The windows and sliding glass doors are old and excessive amounts of air while letting bugs in. We had to cover our windows but cannot do that for our sliding glass door because we use it. Also, HVAC system is insufficient to send air to all rooms so we had to close several vents to get air to the bedrooms.
The office staff has always been helpful and very responsive to my needs. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the way in which I've been treated as a resident and that's why I extended my contract here. This is also a true pet friendly community. Likes and suggestions: Well, there may be better communities out there; however, my experience has bee extremely positive here. Good - quiet neightbors, and every time I come into contact with other residents they have been curteous and attentive. Even the kids I've witnessed in the playground areas are well behaved which of course speaks highly about their parents.
Weather insulation is getting old, Utilities are high (gas heat). Windows need replacement Likes and suggestions: I like the community very much. Staff are very friendly, specially maintenance and the top property manager.
