Situated in northeastern Illinois, just seven miles south of the Illinois-Wisconsin border, Harvard is a quiet suburb offering residents a small-town atmosphere with convenience to big-city amenities. With the largest number of dedicated conservation acres in the state, Harvard is home to an abundance of recreational opportunities. The Lake Geneva/Fontana recreational area is a few short minutes from Harvard as well.
A strong sense of community pride pervades Harvard, with wildly popular events like the Harvard Balloon Festival and Harvard Milk Days bolstering plenty of support. Harvard is within reach of numerous urban luxuries, with Chicago and Milwaukee each about an hour’s drive away. Commuter train service via the Union Pacific railroad also makes getting to the Chicagoland area simple.

Property Ratings at Autumn Glen Apartment Homes
I have lived here for over 10 years and consider it my home not just an apartment. I have gone thru 3 property managers. Our new property manager is the best. She is improving the property and bringing it up to standards thank you
I am a long term resident. The last few years things were not being maintained as they used to be. We have new management now and long needed maintenance is happening. These are nice apartments with underground parking (a real plus).I have always enjoyed living here. You get to know your neighbors, which doesn’t always happen. The new manager cares about the property (she lives here too). The office answers their phone or calls back for a message, which is a welcome change! I was considering moving with the way things were going, but now I am staying put. The problems are being taken care of, and you get a response when you call. It’s a great place to live again!
Love the country/town living! Highly recommend renting from here. New management has really turned things around for the better!
I have lived here for years and it has gone down hill for past year. Recently we had change of management and it has greatly improved. Issues are getting done. Property looking better! Great new management!
We have lived here for 8 years and love it! If you have a problem with your apartment, they will address it right away. We love having the underground parking, our mailboxes are indoors, and laundry on the first floor. Going for walks or riding bikes is no problem. Sidewalks and a flat road makes riding bikes easy. Lots of wildlife is fun to see. You will love it here!
I have lived here on 2 separate occasions. Both were not pleasent. I had my rims and tires stolen from our underground basement which you need keys to get into. So either our old maintenance worker or an old neighbor that also had access to the basement, stole them. When it was reported, nothing was done and only $500 worth of rent credit was given to me. The rims alone were $1,000 and the tires were another $500. The management here at autumn glen is a joke. They will harasse you every which way possible and take minimal care of the apartments. I’ve fallen twice on the Icey side walks due to them being to cheap to pay the plows to be here early. They don’t show up until about 10am-11am. If you have children or pets I do not recommend moving here, you will get nothing but complaints whether you are doing anything wrong or not. The rent is very high for it being Harvard and the apartments are not as well taken care of as they used to be. This used to be an ideal place to live but Autumn Glen was bought by new owners who when called to make a complaint, instructed us “to loose this number.” And “not call back anymore” These we’re indeed the owners because we revived a phone call from the manager shortly after asking why we had attempted to call the owners and to leave them alone. The manager’s a bully and the owners allow her to be. Do not move here, I have seen so many families come and go, all for the same reasons. They get overwhelmed, harassed, and just leave. We will not be renewing our lease this year and I honestly feel sorry for whomever replaces us but you have been warned.
