Property Ratings at Autumn Ridge Apartments
They don’t upgrade anything let alone fix things right . The parking is terrible . There’s trash all over and drugs .
I been here for a few years and hate it . There’s a constant plumber problems , bugs and the apartment is cheaply made . Everything falls apartment and maintenance don’t know how to fix things at all . The parking is terrible also be prepared to park super far from your apartment . There so many drug dealers and recently a shooting that just happened . Also they will have your car towed . The cops are always here cause something is always happening . I can’t wait to move
This community has been named an “award winning gated community” but I am curious as to what the award is for. This is one of the poorest ran complexes I have ever been apart of or seen in my entire life. There is constant noise, trash everywhere ALWAYS, the leasing staff is pleasant, but useless. I would not recommend anyone moving here. They have contracted a towing company that will tow your car EVEN IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. If you are just getting started on life, I MIGHT recommend (even then I probably wouldn’t due to the outrageous pricing to value ratio), but other than that there are way better options out there, trust me. The pool was open for TWO days after opening a month late. They had to shut the pool down due to lack of preparation and unwillingness to pay to have the pool fixed properly. I am being as honest as I would want someone to be with me. This place is UNBEARABLE. Look elsewhere!
Just don’t do it . Pictures are not the same as in person at all . I was never offered to see the apartment before moving in and when I requested to I was told they were still renovating it - my cane it’s look like they sanded wood poorly and then painted over it … like a popcorn ceiling in the bathroom. Trying to move ASAP .
I’m going to give you a honest review from a fresh married couple that started here 3 years ago. Autumn Ridge is not a bad place especially if it’s your first apartment like it was for us. After being here for 3 years we were over being here just because apartments aren’t met for people to live they whole life in. People grow, life moves on. Pros/Cons list…. Cons are having to lug your clothes to the laundry facility. Parking is tough because of how many people live here now but it’s first come first serve we never had to park in the guest lot before. The people above us were very heavy footed so that was annoying sometimes I wouldn’t say the wall were necessarily thin. Pros they just renovated the laundry room so it’s very very nice now. The leasing office always answered our emails and maintenance always solved any problems that may have occurred (which was not that many for 3 years) most neighbors were friendly, we never had a problem with anyone stealing out packages off our door step. Mail came the same time everyday. it’s a gated community so not everyone can just drive in. The local police drives through here and there. I know price is different for people who move in now, but for New Jersey I would say we paid a pretty fair price for a 2bedroom 1 bath apartment For the last 3 years. I would recommend this place for people starting out in life on their own 4/5 rating.
Autumn Ridge Apartment complex management is not concerned about any reports or incidents about aggressive dogs on their property towards other tenants. The concern may only happen if a tenant gets bitten. It is very condensing to tell a tenant '"well we are a dog friendly community" while some of the dogs and their owners are aggressive. Owners all need to have control of their dogs in common areas so tenants can be safe. Too many bugs and trash in the complex building.
We lost our parking pass a week into moving in, as we had sold our old car. After contacting management weeks prior for a parking pass, our new car was towed from the property today. We paid 200$ and called management right away. The people in the office are very pleasant, but when they contacted upper management, they said they DO NOT issue new parking passes, and we would have to park in GUEST PARKING, which is a 10 minute walk from our apartment. We have eight more months on our lease! Every day, more then twice a day, we're meant to walk that far because they won't issue us another parking pass!? We were more than willing to pay for another one! Ridiculous!
If I could give zero stars I would. Very noises not one part of the day is quiet. Banging coming from other apartments. Never any parking, and when you address problems to the office there rude about it and don’t do anything to help. Please don’t waste your money on this place look for a better complex.
This place is not good. There is never any parking and they say it’s because I work a later shift. That shouldn’t matter because for the money I pay I shouldn’t have to walk ten minutes to my apartment from a spot. Even at 5 pm if you leave to get food when you come back there will be no spots. The office doesn’t care about the tenants. You have to send emails over and over and all you get is a attitude and that some one will be there but they don’t come for days and when they do they don’t fix the problem. There are bugs everywhere. The tenants here are ignorant. They let there kids run amuck and the apartment does nothing there is trash everywhere people hanging out in the stair ways. Do not move here!!!!!!
Don't rent at Autumn Ridge! Parking is the worst. You won't get a parking spot after 6pm. You can't have guests visit because the lots for the guests are either too far away or they fill up fast. They will be walking a far distance to your specific building. They come tow your car after 7pm if you do not have the appropriate tag on your car that states you live here. Residents don't use the trash compactor correctly. They just throw their trash on the grounds. Staff never replenishes the hand wipes to throw away your trash. There are bugs in your apartment. Your neighbors smoke weed and it enters your apartment. You sometimes can't use your balcony or patio or even have your windows open due to the smell of weed. There are trash and food left all over the grounds of the apartment complex. I constantly see eaten chicken bones all over. The apartments are so old and the apartments are all in need of serious updating without an extra fee to do so! The cabinetry is old and falling apart. There is no storage space in the kitchen. The apartment is not worth the money they want for any of their apartments. The rent is raised $50 every year. Also, if you have your car parked on the lot and it has an expired sticker or flat tire in the parking lot, they put a sticker on your car telling you that you have 72 hours to fix the issue or they will tow you. Isn't this private property? When did it become illegal to have a flat tire or something else wrong on your car when it is parked legally on private property? The maintenance team is usually pretty good about fixing things. Don't bother making complaints to the office, it doesn't do you any good!
This place is set up with a towing company and all they do is drive around the complex to tow cars all day.
The fact i moved here back in Aug of 2018 the minute i went food shopping i began to see nats in my home i requested for the exterminator twice and he came explaining nothing they can do but what i can do is spray them or use bleach when i clean. It’s disgusting when i open my regfrigerator, my trash or freezer and nats come flying out. I pay too much money for this nasty thing to be going on and they act like they can’t help. I have two kids that’s nasty. I will be not be renewing my lease and looking for somewhere else to live. I cannot deal. Then on top of that they mention the exterminator has a long list and he will reach me when he can the fact that he has a long list scares me i also see bed bug trucks leaving from the complex. Not to mention how disgusting everyone leaves the garbage disposal I’m distugested
Apparently air conditioning not working is not an emergency, even though it is central air. My system stopped working on Friday afternoon at 5:00. But the repairs won’t be done until Monday. It’s 78 degrees in my apartment and very uncomfortable. I guess I won’t be sleeping until Monday! Extremely disappointing
In a month I am finally moving out of this complex after being here for 2 years, and I have never been so excited to go through the struggle and hassle of packing my belongings and moving them elsewhere. I have had issues with the leasing office, several agents having an attitude for no reason, and maintenance. So much so that I had to threaten with fixing the problem myself and taking my security deposit at the end of the lease term if they could not find any means of accommodating the fact that they are only available for non-emergency calls during normal business hours, when most people work. Maintenance has ignored my call about electrical problems in the past, to the point where I had the fire department look at it (the firemen in the area are very nice so that is a bonus to the area I guess). This community offers an incentive for renewing your lease for another 12 months, such as new blinds, carpets, etc.; I STILL have no been contacted about setting up a day to fix my living room blinds, and I signed my lease renewal for December 2016. This place is poorly managed, and relies on low-income families and broke college students complacent with life to remain afloat.
I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! They claim they are an "award winning gated community", but what did they win an award for, the gates working the least amount of time? The gate calls a phone for the resident to let a guest in but the phone system works maybe 1 out of 10 times, the rest of the time someone has just smashed the gate down because they can't get the call box working! Then once your in, if its past 7pm forget it, you won't find parking unless its 4 or 5 buildings away! Try coming home with groceries and an infant in rain or freezing cold, you are forced to park a million miles away due to extremely inadequate parking. Management allows illegal activity to happen right under their noses and does absolutely nothing about it! Forget breathing in your own apartment unless you want to get high from all the marijuana smoke filling your home from the surrounding apartments, and don't even think about trying to sleep with music vibrating the walls 24-7. Forget walking around because of dog feces everywhere, though that's on neglectful pet owners more than the management. Autumn Ridge/Altman is NOT a place to move if you are a law abiding citizen, don't move here if you have children unless you want them getting high from inconsiderate idiots near you, don't move here if you own a car because there's no parking, basically just don't move here if you want to live. The ONLY good thing about this place is the maintenance crew, most are very nice and willing to help in any way. I'm a disabled mother of a disabled child and many times I have had a maintenance worker offer to carry my daughter's coach to our 4th floor apartment.
I have lived here for about a year and haven't had any negative experiences. The staff is very friendly and are quick to respond to issues. It is kept clean and well maintained, it's a pretty neighborhood! There can be "issues" with parking at some buildings but the only issue is that you have to park 100 feet away sometimes so it is hardly a problem. Nice enough neighbors and it is very safe and well lit at night. It's a really great place to live!
They promise you the world and deliver nothing. Suppose to have a renevated apartment. New bathroom cabinet was ready to fall out. Sink came apart from counter top. Central air was not working when I got there. Had to stay somewhere else until maintance came back from weekend off. Then it sounded like a jack hammer. Now it went back to sounding like a jack hammer without quick fix. Bathroom tiles had water seeping out. Every room is off pitch. Work done was terrible. Promised extra pool passes before we arrived then was turned down like we never had conversation. Then there was the hidden deposit for gym use. Manager told us we could leave if we wanted. Called cooperate. Women Marge was considered in charge. She is the one that told us we could leave. Neighbors leave trash every where. Gates always broken. One and done. Just don't do it!
Love living here. Moving from a secure military base I thought I wouldn't find a place where I felt safe with me and my kids. I haven't had any problems. I need something fixed its done within an hour. My kids can go and play outside with no worries. No loud or rude people. Everyone speaks. Game nights kids activities. You won't be disappointed promise..
If youre used to having a washer and dryer in your house or wherever you came from going to an apartment without washers and dryers in them is going to be a big change for you. there's a lot of trucking back and forth with a lot of laundry you end up doing less trips and having more to do. Make sure youre fully aware if it comes with it or on site. It can save you lots of hassel if it comes in unit. found out hard way. This way you might look for another apartment w w/d.... Thank you
I knew the moment I met the leasing office staff that this would be my new home. I was relocating far away from family but immediately felt at ease with the professionalism, courtesy and flexibility the staff displayed and offered from the first application step to the last. They had model apartments in the office building to walk through and they even showed me the different options for the cabinets and counters that the apts might have. Most apt complexes will show you the top model and then you are left in the dark about your non-upgraded unit; not here. If you are choosing a unit that hasn't been upgraded, you'll still know exactly when your unit will have. They made it easy and they made me feel at ease with the big transition. Come take a tour and see for yourself. You'll find your new home isn't that hard to find.
Great location. Price friendly. Right next to Camden County College (Blackwood Campus). Seconds away from 42 North and 42 South. Minutes away from Philadelphia. A new great special feature includes the Gloucester Twp Premium Outlets. Also included is a basketball court, tennis court, playground, pool, fitness center, and a community laundry center. A great bang for your buck!
The employees at Autumn Ridge Apartments make it a priority to serve their residents to the best of their ability. Questions, concerns and maintenance problems are handled promptly and effectively. Also, living in a gated community, being close to shopping and transportation, and having amenities included really help make these apartments the place to live.
Dirty noisy, need to get somewhere new and exciting.
I live Autumn Ridge. I've lived here since May. The staff is courteous and maintenance responds quickly to my concerns. I love the saltwater pool and how cheap the fee is to use it. I also use the Fitness Center. It's small and a tad musty, but it's ok for the cost you pay to use it. The laundry facility is a great on site bonus also. They have small, medium and large load size machines and plenty of dryers. I love walking around the complex for excercise too. They have monthly activities for the residents and that's pretty cool. There are areas of improvement needed, but they really try hard to address everything. I love Autumn Ridge.
Autumn ridge in Blackwood is bad apartments to rent on it ... I'm resident and will move when my lease is finish ... Manegment is no action with any problems like I tolled the manager about a lot of tenegers smoke drugs and they don't care .. Trash start to be on front of apartments and they don't care ... Start to get money for maintenance... The big two problems are ( in winter they make the heat on 75 and the bed room never reach to this degree because they but the thermostat behind the kitchen and I have to but electric heater in the bedrooms ... Second one is no parking .... You have to park so far from your apartment... Really bad apartment the care about taking the rent only and no care about the rentals .
This is the first place I've rented and it's been great to us. Management and leasing staff are so kind and willing to help. Maintenence responds very quickly to requests. No complaints of noise. Parking is fair. Most importantly the staff is involved in the community with bingo, movie nights, and even pool party. Pets welcome for a fair price and upgrade options available for units. Definitely enjoy it here.
The management here is horrible. The do nothing but perch work I've had mold re occurring in the bathroom.
I have been a resident at Autumn Ridge Apartments for almost 4 years now and I LOVE it! The maintenance staff is great and always on time and very professional. Also, the management staff is excellent - always friendly and very helpful. They do fun events for the residents too, like movie night, bingo night, pool parties, holiday parties, community yard sales and more! They have a great referral program too, we refered a lot of our friends and family to live here - they also love it! No complaints here, I would recommened Autumn Ridge Apartments to anyone looking for a fun community feel.
To expensive no one cares bout the people who live here
Autumn ridge apartments are an ok place to live the price to live in these apartments are fairly cheap. Most maitnance problems are fixed in a timely fashion. The apartment layouts are great they are spacious and plenty of closet space. The buildings themselves are pretty old but they do a decent job of keeping up with them.
Autumn Ridge is quite the looker. Its exterior is well kept, and it's location is convenient, minutes from premium outlets, fast food, grocery stores, gyms, Camden County College, and the Deptford Mall. It's affordable, and worth the price considering the other rental properties in the area. It has an outdoor pool, laundromat, a playground, and a small fitness center, all within its diverse, gated community. There are community events held on a regular basis, and are very family oriented. The actual apartment units are very appealing upon first glance both on, and off paper. They have central air, wall to wall carpet, the only utility you have to pay for is the electric, it's pet friendly (except for pit bulls, sorry, I wanted one too), and depending on your unit you may have access to a decent view. I won't dispute its charm; however, that's not to say it's without its faults. The fitness center and playground I mentioned leave a lot to be desired, and the central air can be described as fickle at best. In the winter the central air didn't warm up my apartment much at all. I actually had to buy a space heater, raising my electric bill. In the summer it wasn't much better, the central air rarely worked, and I had to buy fans to place all around the apartment, hoping that the air would kick in any minute. Maintenance has come out plenty of times to work on the central air problem, telling me it needed a filter replaced or there was bad wiring, and whatever they did would work for about a week before going right back to the way it was. Don't get me wrong though, the office and maintenance staff is on top of their game, arriving within a reasonable amount of time once you put in a request, and I do believe they did everything the could when they came out. It's just taking quite a few requests to get resolved. The parking is horrendous at times, forcing you to park a good walking distance from your building. There's a parking permit system the administration uses, but you'll still have a problem finding a good spot. The problem lies with visitors occupying the parking spaces closer to the buildings for long periods of time, amongst other things, and while the administration is taking steps to improve the parking situation, it's still far from ideal. Other than that, I can't really say that there's much bad about the place. It's not going to be your end-all dream apartment, but it's a decent place to call home for a while as you move up in the world.
I love living here, the people are friendly and also the staff are polite. I also like bingo night for the residents. It's also a great location for my kids to go to school. I Love the neighborhood.
The people here are very friendly and the community is very nice. Affordable apartments in South Jersey.
When my husband and I sold my townhouse and could not find another house in which to live, we needed a place to call home, at least until we found a home of our own. One month before getting married, we moved into Autumn Ridge. I was thinking, I came from living in my own home and now I'm living in an apartment - so I was not very happy. Once we moved in, however, my opinion changed. We met some wonderful neighbors, like to senior citizen across the way, or the couple that lived on the floor below with the two adorable boys, or the ex-cop that lived directly below us. They became our neighbors and our friends. Some have come and gone, but the new people that replaced them have been just as friendly and neighborly as the others. Especially when we got hit with a few heavy snowstorms. My husband helped to shovel others out, and in turn, those others helped other as well. In the almost five years we have lived here, we still feel like we are home, because of the friendly neighbors, or as my husband and I call them, our friends.
