The thermostat in my apartment stopped working three days ago. I can not regulate the temperature in my apartment because the thermostat is broken, so when it gets cold in my apartment I can’t do anything about it. I called the apartment emergency service on the first day the thermostat broke down (after hours) to have it fixed so I could heat my apartment but no body showed up. I called the apartment emergency more than 5 times on the first day the thermostat broke but no body showed up. on two occasions they told me someone will be at my apartment within two hours to fix it but no body showed up. I put in a maintenance request through the apartment website to have it fixed but nobody came to fix it. i called the apartment leasing office several times on the second day (Monday) but nobody answered my calls. I continued following up with the emergency service on the second day after hours to have it fixed so I could heat my apartment and all I was told is that they can’t go and drag the maintenance guys out of their houses so I should keep waiting until whenever someone shows up. this is the third day and the thermostat has still not been fixed. I just called the emergency and they told me they are still trying to get hold of someone to come and fix it. My apartment is cold right now, but there is nothing I can do about it because the thermostat doesn’t work, so I can’t turn on the heat. IT TAKES MORE THAN 3 DAYS FOR THE APARTMENT EMERGENCY SERVICE TO FIX MY HEAT? UNBELIEVABLE!!! It’s 3 days now and nobody showed up to fix it. I have no idea when they will come and fix it so I’m just waiting. THIS APARTMENT IS A JOKE AND I CANT WAIT TO LEAVE.
I recently moved into these apartments and I regret it SO MUCH. Maintenance never fix anything and when I first moved in my unit was just thrown together they still had stuff on the counters from the previous owner also in the showers. The carpet STINKS and something is always just broken or thrown together. They don’t care about the people in the apartments just the money ..
I moved in recently and regretted immediately. Although the apartment I moved to was cleaned and repaired, I had issues as soon as I moved in. They do fix critical issues asap but everything else is ignored. Streets and parking lots are dark. And apartments are pink tagged again. If the management actually worked and listened, it would be livable.
READ BEFORE YOU SIGN HERE. I just moved in this past July and I’ve had issues since the day I signed my lease. The unit I was given was disgusting upon move in. They claim to shampoo the carpets but there was still dog and cat hair throughout the entire unit. The vanity and kitchen cupboards were broken when I moved in. They told me they would return shortly to clean up a mess that was left in the basement, but said mess has never been cleaned up. They shut down payment services for your lease, and then charge late fees. They have added extra charges to our account with no warning or explanation just so we incur other fees for not paying. Multiple maintenance requests have been left completely unaddressed. We have exposed insulation on the outside of our building. There was a sewage leak in the basement for almost a month. We were told our dryer broke, but it was never replaced even though we pay a washer dryer fee. Now we have a huge water leak in our drywall causing our ceiling to crack and the bathroom walls to squish. I’m sure this unit was red-tagged but improperly fixed just so they could re-lease it and make money. Do not sign here, they just want to take as much money from you as they can while giving you the worst place to live.
They do not answer their phone or email you back. they also leave out lots of fees both monthly and one time.

I'm currently a resident and I have been living there for almost two years. Before January 6th 2020, I was enjoying my life at autumnridge. Ever since that date up until now, my living situation is terrible. Units are being pink tagged due to lack of maintenance work, they refuse to answer any questions about whether or not they have a valid rental certificate with the city of Lansing, barely any street lights, neighbors letting their pets poop anywhere in the backyard when the lease states that they are required to be on a lease whenever they are outside, and constant maintenance traffic in units whether they have a notice or not. The city of Lansing and code enforcement officers have been involved with autumnridge to make sure that they are doing their jobs right. I was never late for rent and they sent a paperwork stating that I was but my bank account says otherwise. Recently I called the office for a receipt of my money order and they didn't put me on hold for I heard this comment from a lease agent:"Oh! It's THAT lady!" I am truly sick and tired of them and the reason I moved in 2018 was because of my employer was a preferred option & I work at meijer. Take my advice to heart: " DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!" There are much more better places to live than here.

I’ll try to keep this short. I submitted an application and was told “In person” I would be able to move in within two weeks. That obviously did not happen also they never called me to update me on anything at all. After 3 weeks they stated the are sorry. -_- and the complex is working with the city so until then they cannot rent an apartment. Then requested I put an additional 200$ down to hold an apartment however, they could not provide a timeline -_-. I never got my application fee back either.

Each month there management team had a different problem although nothing changes so, it would lead to some people on the team to tell me to do one thing and another telling me to do another. This went on until I moved out. I do not recommend this place at all.

After filling out an application a few weeks went by and the team was not able to give me a date. And not honest about their situation. Then requested I put 200$ down for a holding fee when they were still unable to provide me with a move in date. The original conversation I had with a team member she stated I would be able to move in with the next week 2 max.

I have been living at autumn ridge since December of 2018. The original apartment I was suppose to sign a lease for was not ready for whatever reason, so I was giving this current apartment. While I knew the balcony had significant damage (literally holes in the balcony, plywood as the balcony) prior to signing the lease I was told that a contractor would be fixing it in the spring. Because it was December it was not an urgent matter. I started contacting the leasing office in MARCH reminding them that my balcony needs to be fixed as it was spring time. April 3rd a maintenance worked had been over to replace my leaking bathroom sink and while in my apartment took pictures of my balcony to report back to his supervisor. All management was already aware of the damage at that time. I call the leasing office on a regular basis looking for an update on the status of a contractor coming to fix my balcony. I was home on maternity leave for 8 weeks, they have had permission to enter at any time, and absolutely nothing has been done. I am continuously getting the run around with “I’m going to send an email” or they’re going to talk to whoever and bla bla bla. This is ridiculous, it is August 26th and I have yet to get any type of update on the status of my balcony being fixed. By this point it looks like no effort has been made to actually fix the problem. They offered to let me move to a new unit which is extremely inconvenient in general but especially with an infant. On top of this issue, the apartment building I am in is disgusting. There is no up keep the trash can in the laundry room is literally piled three feet over the trash can with trash falling out onto the floor. The hallways are disgusting.

I have had nothing but issues since I moved here. This place has never been maintained properly. To top it off I had a LIVE possum INSIDE my townhome and when I called the after hours emergency line they told me there was nothing they could do! I have two children that could have been bitten and there was nothing they could do?!? DO NOT LIVE HERE!

If I could rate this lower, I would. The air quality in the apartments and town homes is horrendous. Little to no air flow, be constantly vigilant for mold. I made a maintenance call last week. I don't think the office admin ever passed the word. The windows aren't in place properly, whoever installed them didn't caulk the outside. We had to clean the entire unit after we moved in because there were paint stains everywhere and mold under the sink fixture and the bathrooms. The washer/dryer unit needed to be replaced several times. There were no towel rods until we asked them to install them. The floorboards don't sound safe and our air conditioning unit was using refrigerant that has been mandated against by the EPA. They want to replace everything, I.e. The unit, the duct work (imagine how dirty that is) the furnace, the refrigerant lines, everything.... Will not be willing to rent here ever again. I don't advise it.

Autumn Ridge, formerly known as Oak Park Village, has been undergoing major transformations throughout this past year due to a change in management. The main focus has been on revamping the image of the community: Newly paved roads and parking lots, brand new windows and doors, and a fresh name are the most noticeable changes. While the appearance of the community has had a dramatic makeover for the better, the customer service attitude of Autumn Ridge is very disappointing. A few of the staff can be unnecessarily defensive when a question or a concern in brought up, and I feel as if my needs as a resident have taken a back seat to the outward display of the neighborhood; but then there are some staff that are superb! They are knowledgeable, proactive and are quite personable, and have assured me that the concerns regarding the resident/staff interactions have been addressed. However, my biggest hesitation with recommending Autumn Ridge to a future resident boils down to two issues: Communication can be frustrating with some of the staff, and sometimes the answers I receive come in a defensive, inconsistent manner (I assure you that they do not have a reason to be combative with me, I am a very patient person, which adds to the frustration) and the parking permit issue. If interested in Autumn Ridge, please be sure to ask about the parking permit policy first and decide if it will work for you. Every car must have a permit, including guests. This is understandable as they are attempting to clean up the cars/people that do not belong loitering around, however, my situation has abolished my spontaneous social life and turned my residence into an errand. I work 30 minutes away and if I want to invite someone over for an impromptu movie night, I have to make sure I make it to the office before they close to get a permit for someone who will be visiting for only a couple hours. This gets stressful when I have other errands to run on the side of town as my work or if I'm asked to stay after or if traffic is bad, etc. In conclusion, I am rating Autumn Park as three stars rather than the two that I originally marked because I do have hopes that the resident/staff relationships will improve, and they are making significant improvements to the aesthetics of the property. I do not feel, be that as it may, that I can give a higher rating at this point in time because the main weakness is that of customer service, and community moral is essential, as well.

Great place to live! Appliances included.Made it a very easy transition to move in. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place. Not to mention the very nice pool in site as well.
